1. I don't mind at all having more. In fact the more the merrier! I am thinking of making like a sort of collage type thing for a page of the site to express the variety of dogs.
2. Roasted bones that are sold in petshops are a bit more pricy but good. I'm against rawhides because of their link to cancer and also because they are difficult to digest and can become lodged inn a dogs throat too easily.
3. To be honest I wouldn't change the way that Goo's weight is. She is a fit dog and very muscular and her fitness will stand by her in a surgery and not the bodymass of her fat. I honestly didn't know that Goo was the age she is! She is a fantastic healthy dog for her years and a credit to your obvious nurturing. Vitamin E is also a great supplement for any dog of any age to get and usually a dog of her stature at our surgery , we would advise 200 I.U once or twice daily depending on her overall physical ability.
4. Congrats on Carson! Going over to see his pics now! :D
5. Thats sad but its an incident that could have been prevented. The JRT owner was to blame for the loss of 3 dogs from what I can see.
6. Happy Birthday Bailey!!! :bday:
7. hehe Sander is 6ft 2" I think and when I first met him I was like "holy cack ..we could never have a relationship".. kissing is just dandy now, especially when I wear heels 8)
8. lol they used to do it that in a real obedience test years ago before I even started doing competitive obedience only it was with a pork pie. I taught Meg to carry a raw egg without breaking it when I was teaching her retrieve and now because she had to be gentle with that, she never mouths on her retrieve article or scent. :D
9. This is excellent folks! Thank you VERY much! :D
10. I know quite a lot of you have a variety of breeds and I was wanting to ask a tiny request. I am starting up my own business in the Netherlands of dog-walking, petsitting, behavioural consultations similar to what I had in N.Ireland. What I am after is a couple of good photos for my website that show a variety of dogs being walked. There are a lot on the web but none of which I want to use as I don't know the people. The photos of the dogs can be with the dogs on lead/off-lead/playing on the beach/park etc. Thanks in advance :D
11. Mouse did the vet say that it was a reaction to the vaccine? Usually a severe reaction to a vaccine occurs within 24 hours of the pup having the vaccine. Its possible that she may have picked up something else, but i'm glad that shes doing better now.
12. Izzy? Is there any news? I've been thinking about her and hoping that today will bring positive news.
13. What a frightening situation! How is the dog now?
14. Although I might look a bit short compared to the big tall dutch people here, I have to go for long when I get trousers or jeans because I have 32" legs. As one of my friends Chris tells me .. I have legs up to my armpits :o
15. Geeze you read something good then of course you read the dark view  The truth is any dog can be unstable and that neuroticism exists within individuals in the breed, which I discovered when I was researching for my thesis with the Border Collies.
16. This sounds like a good idea! Hope your doggies and you have fun 8)
17. hi Byrd, take care out on the field and welcome back
18. awww that was really sad but lovely. Thanks for posting it
19. 5 ft 5.5!!! :D :P :P :P
20. Aww Abby sounds very sweet. Dogs usually are true to their true personality. However there are occasions when that instinct to protect will show up. My Meg scared me once by showing a different side of protection. My usually very sweet girl chased after a guy who stole my mobile at the park and belted after him and lunged at his back snarling. He dropped my mobile in fright and ran off while Meg proud as punch trotted back with my mobile in her mouth. Another incident where I was petsitting for 2 Irish Wolfhounds last November and a guy tried to break in and those big gentle giants were going to eat him! That actually was reassuring because I was terrified as I actually came face to face with him through the glass. Enjoy your sweet girl and hopefully the situation will not arise when she shows her protective side. As far as this guy goes, if he harrasses you get the police onto him.
21. yeyyyyyy excellent news! Really excited for you! :D :D :D
22. That incident was well out of line but then again its PETA... you can expect anything from them
23. Already signed last week and cross posted
24. ok some doggy party games: Musical chairs- owner has dog on leash and same format as human musical chairs only with a dog. Mayhem when it gets to just a few chairs. Musical downs- down your dog on the music. Relay races- 2 teams and make up a mini obstacle course of a hoop, low jump and then a pole to go around (owner and dog must do all obstacles together ...dogs usually do better than handlers :P ) then bring back a beanbag or ball. First team to get all items is the winner. fastest sausage eating contest. Again 2 teams and place a sausage or something tasty at the end of garden/place then each team meber goes in turn with their dog and first team with the sausages eaten wins. Thats just a few off the top of my head. Good luck and don't forget the camera. :D
