2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BK!!!!!! :smilecolros: :new-bday: :new-bday: :BIG: :BIG:
3. I totally agree, I think kids should definitly grow up with dogs. I still feel deprived because I never had a dog when I was a child, all I had was fish :( . Zebra is my first dog and I got him when I was 19. Oh and don't even get me started on people who don't like dogs. I have 2 best freinds, one LOVES Zebra and comes over just to play with him. She has grown up with animals all her life and dosn't mind dog slobber or dog hair all over her new shirt. My other freind bearly tolerates Zebra. She gets all upset when Zebra runs up and licks her. She always yells at me to get me D@mn dog off of her. :x Well turns out that I have way more problems with this freind then the one that like Zebra. My thing is, if you don't want dog hair on you..then don't come into my house. My dog just comes before my freind, granted I have known my friends longer. But my dog has never lied to me, yelled at me, called me names, treated me like poo. Oh well guess I'm just a crazy dog woman!
4. I'm so worried about Zebra having HD. He is going to have the X-rays done next monday. By then my mom gets paid so we can afford them. I'm almost certain that it is HD, He seems to have many of the symptoms. I want to thank you all because you reassured me that HD can be treated and prevented. What would I do with out you guys!? You guys are the best! (uh-oh..i'm getting all sappy now. )
5. Oh sheesh! Some people! :nonono2: :nono:
6. Oh what a day! We took Zebra in to the vet today to see about his limp. And we took Nibbles (our rabbit) in for a general check up and nail clipping. Well we took one car and my mom and dad came. My mom helped me with Zebra and I helped my dad with Nibbles. We had to wait for an hour an half to see the vet! :o They were sooo busy and only one of the vets was there today. There are usually two of them but not today. I saw a bunch of loverly dogs and cats! The First dogs I saw were two Bulldogs (K you would have loved them!!). One had a brindel head with one big brindel spot on his back, the rest of him was white. He was soo cute and super frendly! His other bulldog freind was white and black. I don't know why they were at the vet because they were leaving as we were arriving. I wish I had a camera because they were both so cute! :P Then there was an older man who had a Black Lab who was 12 years old with HD and a younger dog that he saved from the pound. (Zebra realy like both of them and they liked him allot! :D ) There was a poor little kitty that got hit by a car and broke his leg and couldn't hold his bowel movement. The owner said that they had let him outside for the first time and they think he got hit by a car. :( A not so friendly Pit Mix...A lovely looking dog that's temperment wasn't that good. Kept trying to get at Zebra and groweling. Poor thing had the WORST bark! I almost want to say he/she was debarked. :-? The owners wern't very nice either. because when we were leaving I saw the male owner go up to the dog and slap him back and forth in the face as "play". :x Ok well when we FINALLY got to see the vet he checked over Zebra and said he didn't have a torn ligament. He gave him and anti-inflamatory and Deramaxx (100 Mg a day for a week). The vet said if the limp did not impove 100% by monday or tuesday we have to bring him back to have X-Rays done. To make sure he dosn't have HD. I hope to heaven that he dosn't have HD. He is only 1 year old! :( The Vet said he could have brused something in his hip and that could be making him limp. But I dunno...he has had this limp for a week and a half. :( I'm soo worried and scared! Is HD the end of the world for my dog? Will he still beable to run and play like normal? Ok..now about our male rabbit Nibbles. The vet checked over him and said his ears, eyes and teeth looked perfect! :P He told us that he felt a lump in his belly and I told him that he has been having Diarrea(sp?). So now we have to give our bunny hair ball treatment for 2 weeks. Well the doctor checked his "privates" to make sure everything was ok down there...we got the shock of a life time. The vet said "You do know this "HE" is a "SHE"?" WHAAAAT?! :o :o We have had this bunny for 2 years and always thought it was a male! Oh my goodness my dad actually gasped and was in shock! I thought he was going to fall off the chair! The vet and the assistants were laughing at our reaction. We were all so suprised! The one vet assistant was like "have you ever seen bunny privets before?" and I'm like "No"..then he laughed and said "don't feel bad, they are so small that it's hard to tell sometimes"....of course he was SUPER CUTE!!! and he's standing there talking to me about rabbit private parts. Oh well I have to go back to the vet on tuesday...maybe I'll see him again and we'll talk about his privates! (J/K!!)
7. When I take Zebra out on walks and we make a left or right turn down the street. I will say LEFT! And he will turn left...and when I say RIGHT he will turn right. :D I'm amazed that he can remember and know the difference betweent the two..considering he can't even remember SIT half of the time!
8. I've been so worried about Zebra lately. It seems that he has a limp. Now here is the thing that realy bothers me...He dosn't have the limp(in his back legs) all the time. For about 70% of the time he walks, runs and plays like normal. But the other 30% of time he limps. This limp normally happens after he gets up from laying down, or sleeping for a period of time. I've felt both his back legs and I can't feel any thing abnormal. Nothing is swolen or anything. The first time we noticed that something was wrong was about a week and a half ago..two weeks ago. Zebra was lying down and my dad usually grabs his legs and moves them back and forth. Well when my dad grabbed his back left leg Zebra yellped very loudly. Of course we all checked over him and made sure he was ok. But now he limps. And last night I noticed that he was kind of hopping, trying to not use his back legs. But the thing is he still runs and plays outside with no problem..he is as active as ever and dosn't seem to be in any pain (besides the one yelp that I described above). And he usues all his legs fine most of the time. I'm wondering if his limping can be caused by him being overwheight. He is currently 12 pounds over what he should be. I try to put him on a diet but my parents give him table scraps and junk food when I'm not around. The other day I walked into the kitchen to find my dad giving Zebra birthday cake! :x And that was after I specifically told him NOT to give him anything but dog food! :x (oh but that is a whole other post.) I'm kind of embarassed to take Zebra back to the vet because we are literally there every other week! And I don't want them to start thinking that we abuse our pets or anything. (i know..that's a selfish reason..shame on me :( ) So any suggestions? Ideas on why he could be limping?
9.  I'm so sorry behle. I wish I could say something that would make you feel better but I'm not very good with words. But just know that Max is happy and pain free at the Rainbow Bridge. A hug from me and a Kiss from Zebra to you.
10. Good Luck Devin! I hope he found his forever home! :P
11. Congrats!!! :P She is so beautiful!!!
12. Umm...well..that's intersting. I saw on T.V. once this woman who did that for a living. She was an older woman and had her elderly friends help her make scarves/mittens etc out of dog hair. She literally had barrels of dog hair sitting in her living room. Hmm...I wonder if the scarves would smell if it got wet? Say like in the rain? I sure wouldn't want to be walking around smelling of wet dog.
13. Yup..I put on the radio when I live Zebra home alone. He usually listens to the classic rock station . He loves ELO and Journey...go figure!
14. :o My gosh! I have never seen a pit bull that looked like that!! What are they doing? Putting thoes poor dogs on steroids!
15. That is such Breed Bias that they don't insure Pit Bulls. :x Good for you Rosebud, I'm glad you educated (or at least tried to  ) that woman. Ok here is something I realy don't understand. Lets just say someone Broke into my house and Zebra bit him. He could sue us?! And he could win?! That just makes me so mad! People who are committing crimes like that should not have the power to sue. :x It just makes me so frusterated! I realy don't understand that at all.
16. Yes Zebra has bitten me a few times. But only realy hard once. That was when he had his puppy teeth and since they are so sharp it made a small puncture in my hand. Thank goodness he has thoes rounded canine adult teeth now.
17. The side where Zebra had his dranage tube is hot too. I am also concerned about this. My mom told me that heat is usually sign of an infection. :-? I know that when Zebra is on antibiotics he dosn't eat much at all. Maybe it's the same with your Max.
18. Wow..Like I said you learn something new every day. I had no clue that Dobermans were banned from flying American Airlines. I'm glad that so many people stood up for the breed. Hmm here are just a few random ideas that have been in my mind for the last few days. It seems that the Pitbull is societys "bad" or "evil" dog at this point in time. There are other dogs that people consider "dangerous" too, for example the Doberman and Rotties. But it seems that more people stand behind these breeds than the Pit? Why is that? Is it because society and the media have basically brainwashed people into thinking that all Pitbulls are bad, so no one will realy stand behind them? Or is it that people are afraid to stand up for them because they are afraid that them will be seen as "bad" too? (am I making any sense? ) I guess what I'm trying to ask is that if there were more people that stood up for PitBull rights would there be so much bad press about them? (Sorry if this post dosn't make any sense, I'm rather tired)
19. I guess you learn something new every day. I was looking at some airline web pages (taking a trip in a few weeks). And just out of curiosity I was looking at the policies for pet travel and I found this: Embargo of American Pit Bull Terriers (Pit Bulls, Pit Bull Terriers) Continental Airlines will accept American Pit Bull Terrier puppies which are between 8 weeks and 6 months of age provided they do not weigh more than 20 lbs. All American Pit Bull Terriers more than 6 months old or weighing more than 20lbs. will be refused. This embargo does not apply to American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or Miniature Bull Terriers. Crossbreeds with American Pit Bull Terriers are also excluded from this embargo. The purpose of this embargo is due to the aggressiveness of the breed and the danger presented to our aircraft and our customers. :x  Seems like a bunch of poo to me! I don't understand it. That is the ONLY dog that is restricted from flying..how awful. :( It just makes me upset. Here is the web page: http://www.continental.com/travel/policies/animals/restrictions.asp?SID=D4378EF4529245C9AAD8A966A0CB1507
20. Great pic!!! She does look pissed off! Too cute! :P
21.

Dogfighters often walk the streets with their dogs "to build them up,"
That one was my favorite...Guess I'll call the authorities on that old couple that walkes there Bishon.
22. Ok..let me see. -One Snadal -6 pillows (2 of them were his own) -a feather duster -all the kitchen chairs are chewed up (not as bad as Deafaussielovers though  ) -One of my brothers shoe -one kitchen rug -2 dozen stuffed animals -1 plastic pill bottel (no pill in it though thank goodness) -3 shirts -1 plastic food dish -a mini basketball -3 leashes -numorous plastic bags -a cup of instant soup -3 pajama pants -a wind up bunny -several potatoes -a full bucket of freeze dried liver treats that cost 20 bucks (oh he was soo sick from that) -1 lace cloth -a few kitchen dish towels -5 pot holders -a sweat shirt Ok that's all I can think of right now but there is allot more.
23. Oh no! I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks without computer!! What am I gunna do?! I better make sure the week after my vacation is free because i'm going to need all that time to catch up!! :o
24. -Snails can sleep up to three years. -A ducks quack dosn't echo-No one knows why. There ya go...some totally useless facts that you will never use.
25. Yup Zebra is 100% pure Grade A Mutt! We think he is german shepherd/Golden retriever mix. But as you can tell in my avitar he dosn't look like either..so your guess is as good as ours.
