Oh how sad!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry: :cry:

So far Zebra has gone threw three dog pillows...they all said "indestrucatable". Ha! Yea right! So we got him a queen size comfortor all for himself and he loves that and he moves it all around untill he feels comfortable. We also got him a big dog pillow from 'Sam's Club' (it's like Cosco's). And he loves that big pillow too. Mouse- Zebra HATES it when I wash his blacnkets and pillows. I think it's because it washed away his stinky smell. :lol:

Ahahaha..I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Your guys' story's about your dogs are great! :lol: :P Zebra takes my dirty undies and socks too. I have no clue where he gets them though. It's soo gross because he takes them and runs and if i try to take them away he growls at me. :roll: He also takes my undies and brings them to my dad or brother and shows them what he has. It's soo embarassing!!!! :oops: But I'm thankful that he dosn't fart.....yet. :)

Don't worry BK. The same thing happend to me. I was on and no one else was. But then again maybe it was because it was 1 in the morning. :oops: :)

CONGRATS!!!!!! My boy is turning one on June 1st. Looks like allot of our furkids have birthdays in june!

When I was a Senior in highschool I had this awful Religion teacher. She was from the phillipines(sp?) and she was kinda nutty. Anways I always disliked her from the begining. She was the worst teacher ever and never let us have our own opinions, we had to agree with her or else. This woman was very stupid and told our entire religion class that women can't get pregnant the first time they have sex. :o . I was so mad and I actually started to yell at her that she was wrong and all she said was "no i'm right i'll bring in the book that says so." aggh! She was realy an awful teacher and the ONLY way you could get A's on her test was to cheat...and everyone did. I finally got so mad at this woman because i tried so hard to get good grades that i took everyone's test papers and took them to the counclor and vice principal. I think i had 50 tests and all of them were D's and F's except for a few which were C's. But they just said that "we(the students) didn't study enough!!". The ONLY way that we could pass her class was to suck up to her and I refuse to do that. This woman was soo nutty that the homework she gave never made sense. *one time i had my mom do my homework and my teacher gave her a C. MY mom was soo mad!* Anways this teacher hated me because I basicaly told on her and she gave me a D- on my report card....I'm lucky i could graduate. But the thing that pissed me off the most was that she gave the pot smoking slackers better grades than she gave me because they sucked up. Grr! still makes me angry today...3 years later!. Hahaha..oops looks like I wrote a novel! :oops:

Hehehe...I'm glad i'm not the only one. :P Everytime i go to the store and I see the "frosty Paws" it always makes e laugh because it's in the frozen section of the supermarket next to the poeple ice cream. I've always wonderd how many people have bought the dog ice cream thinking it was for people then getting home and relizing it was for dogs. :lol: I mean it's perty obvious that the ice cream is for dogs it says on the box "Frosty Paws: Ice Cream treats for your dog!" and it has a pic of a dog whearing a scarf. But ya some people are umm...not as bright as the rest of us.

Maybe you could have your kids help train your dog. Just basic 'Sit', 'Down'..that kinda stuff. It would show your dog that the kids are the boss too. :P

has anyone heard of a ice cream dog treat called Frosty Paws?? I found them in the grocery store a while back and I gave them to Zebra. He LOVES them. Am I the only weirdo that buys special ice cream for there dogs?? :oops:

May I ask you how old your children are? I'm assuming that they are perty young. If they are very young i'm sure you know not to leave them alone with a dog because you never know what can happen. About holding him mouth shut. I dunno if that is a very good idea. I tried that with my dog when he was a pup and it did the exact opposite. He thought it was play and he niped at me even more. I think maybe you should stick with the sharp "NO" and if he tries to bite again, walk away and ignore him for 5 mins or so. I think you realy want to enforce that when he is bad he gets NO attention at all...that means no holding his mouth too. But when he is good pet him and talk to him in a nice voice and tell him his is a good boy. Oh and when you are telling him "NO" try not to use his name..it just confuses dogs. :D Good luck. Oh my dog did this too when he was a pup. For him it was perty easy for him to stop. Everytime he would nip or mouth us when we pet him we would imediatly say "NO!" and stop petting him. He will learn that bitting only causes no pettings but when he stops bitting that's when he gets to be petted. I'd also suggest that you get him some teething toys and if he bites give the toy to him. :P You could get some cloth towel and soak it with water then freeze it and let you pup chew on that so his gums and teeth feel better. But you MUST watch him when he uses that and if he starts to eat any bits or you think he will start tearing it up take it away right away! There are many teehthing toys out on the market...but i can't think of any right now :oops: . Ask around at your local pet store. People with pets always love to help! :P

Oh Crested some of thoes sock toys sound great! I must try some! The only real toys that i make is to tie 2 knee socks together at the middle so it makes a cross. Zebra likes to play tug-o-war with that. The other "toy" that I make Zebra is when the roll of paper towels is done i take the cardboard tube and close one end off by folding it and throw a few treats inside then close the other end of the tube. It makes a great noise that Zebra loves..and he gets to rip the cardboard to peices to get the treats. He LOVES it. Crested-I loves thoes pics of Ben..he looks like he has a mohawk! he is just adorable. And I love your new Avitar! Oh and Zebra is a sock theif too! Pulls them right off our feet!

Thanks all for the info! It's very helpful! I talked to the vet and he was suprised that my dog had a tick because they are not common here. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles. Usually when you take dogs camping or hiking in the mountains here that's when they get ticks. But to have them in a big city is very rare. Soo I hope it was just some kind of weird fluke. But i hope I never have to see one of thoes nasty evil ticks again..they realy freak me out. :oops: We use Advantage for fleas and that works very well. But it dosn't do anything for ticks..at least i don't think it does. But thanks again for all the info..very helpful!

Zebra does something that we call "selective fallowing". He tends to pick a person every day to fallow around. So we each get turns having a furry shadow. Yesturday was my bro's turn and today it's mine. Kinda strange huh? :roll: He lies on our feet and anytime we move or get up he jumps up and follows us. Dog are so cute. :angel:

There are so many reasons that my dog is special to me. I got him at a time when I was realy down *stinky boyfrind broke up w/ me :x *. BUt somehow Zebra made everything all better. He gave me responsibility and taught me how to be giving and unselfish. Everytime i'm sad or need to cry he is there for me. My dog is better than all my friends combined. He will never lie to me, yell at me, make fun of me. He always listens and never critisizes. And he never laughed at me when my hair was a strange colour. Oh I can go on and on..but I think the best reason why Zebra is so special to me is because he will always love me no matter what. :angel:

This all started yesturday when I was outside playing with Zebra and he was lying at my feet waiting to be pet. As I stated to pet him I noticed that there was a tick on him! A big nasty ugly tick! *Before I continue you should prolly know that I HATE bugs especially nasty small ones like ticks and fleas. I HATE BUGS!*. So when I saw the tick i kinda freaked out and yelled at jumped up. *stupid me should have killed it but i wasn't gunna touch it!*. So being the parinoid person I am I go get my dad and have him brush Zebra from nose to tail just to make sure that the tick was gone. And because I'm soo parinoid of bugs being on Zebra or in the house I decided to give him a bath *he needed it anyways he was getting stinky!*. So I give him a bath and brush him again! We could find no tick so I thought that it got washed off when i gave him a bath. Today when I got home I was petting Zebra and I felt something on his side and when i looked it was the evil tick! I literaly screamed! I made my dad come and take it off while i held zebra down. My dad had to use needel nose pliers to pull it off of him and it was sooo big and it was full of blood! Uh! So desgusting and poor little Zebra! I don't know if I did the right thing by taking it off with pliers but i was NOT going to touch it and i doubt that my dad was going to touch it either. But I cleaned the area very good with warm water and some special stuff for dogs if they have cuts. --- So the questions I want to ask is..Is there a right way to take off a tick? What kind of stuff do you give your dogs to keep ticks off? Do you give your dog stuff to keep ticks off? Ticks arn't a big problem where I live so i'm not extreamly worried about it. I would just like to know just in case it ever happens again.

Crested- I'll admit it. I was one of thoes people who thought Hairless dogs were ugly. :oops: But you changed me! Ben is soooo absolutly adorable. :P I was actually thinking about getting one but they are small dogs and I have a big 80lbs dog and I dunno how good that would be. :-? Oh and congrats on getting him neutered! :D

How bout Midnight or Comet. Some pics would realy help too. :) Congrats on getting a shelter dog! I got my dog at a Petsmart shelter too. And he is a german sheapard mix also. :P

Thought about the crate thing but he dosn't have one. :o so I guess that is out of the question. And I can't take him into the computer room so taking him into the room i am in is kinda out of the question. BUt thanks for the suggestions. I'm so pathetic I've actually begun to hide behind a chair so he can't see me and when he starts scratching I squirt him with ice cold water. :oops: I'm spying on my own dog! I'm soo lame! But I can't figure out what else to do.

Help me Please!!!! Zebra won't stop scratching at the floor in the kitchen. It is soooo annoying and he only does it late at night. He scratches at the linolium(sp?) and tries to dig threw the floor, he's already gotten chunks of the foor out in certain spots. :o I think he only does it for attention because he knows I'll get up to make him stop. But it's soo annoying and it wakes everyone in the house up and my parents get so mad and tell me to make him stop. But I can't! I've tried everything! I have used bitter apple where he scratches but he'll just go to a different spot. I've tried to ignore it thinking that he would stop but he just does it more. I've squirted water at him when he does it but he like the water and stickes his face at the water. I've given him his Kong to play with but he dosn't care. In fact he is doing right now as I type this! I'm about ready to tie his feet together to make him stop! It is literally driving me insane! :crazyeyes: It figures that we break him of his bad habbit of growling and snapping at us, just to get another bad habbit.

He is sooo cute!!!!!! :P :) . He looks so sweet. Makes me wanna get another pup. Make sure to give him a big hug for me. :)
