I never knew what you guys were talking about when you would talk about dog farts and dog burps. BUt I understand now. See we finally let Zebra in our computer room. So i brought him in here about a half an hour ago. Well he was sleeping and then he suddenly jumped up, stuck his nose in my face and BURPED!!! In my face!!!! Oh my lord did it smell!!! :o I mean it was realy rancid. But then after he burped he just layed back down and fell back asleep. Grr! What a little turd he is! :roll:

Rowie that vet that you went to was lame...I'm glad your going to a new one. I'm sure she will know what she is talking about. I hope you arn't too terribly stressed out right now...and if you need to talk you can just PM me. I always have an ear open. :) I hope Rowie is feeling better. I know she must not be too happy being kept in the pool bathroom but I bet she is happy to be away from all thoes nasty desgusting ticks. I don't even know why something so gross is here on earth....I realy can't think of a good reason we have them. I have a few questions though- how much stuff are you putting on or giving rowie? Are you giving her lots of meds?? How do the other people there cope with all the ticks? What do they give there dog(s)? I'm just kinda curious. I hope everything works out for you and Rowie. I'll be thinking about you two. And Zebra gives a big kiss for both of you. (he hopes everything works out too. :wink: ).

I'm soooo happy!!! My best friend FINALLY decided to spay her female german sheaperd mix!!!!!!! :P I've been telling my freind to get her dog spayed because it's important for behavor reasons, medical reasons and a safeguard against unwanted pregnancy. But her family never "had" the money to pay for it. The operation was 130 dollars and that included the anistesia(sp?), blood work and over night stay. But her mom said that it was too much for them to pay..even though they make 100,000 dollars a year!!!! Anways I was getting soo mad that no one cared about this poor pup that they leave outside all the time even in the 100 degree wheather. So I asked my freind if she had had her first heat yet and she was like "well how can I tell?"..... :o :x . Needless to say that I was a little peeved. So i told her if she didn't spay her dog Agatha before her first heat that her dog was going to start bleeding and everystray in the neighborhood would be in there back yard! ...and guess what?! she told her mom that and they got her spayed yesturday!!!! :D So hopefully this dog will now get some training and get to go inside the house!!! Oh I'm soo happy they got her spayed. Oh I forgot, about 2 weeks ago my freind said that when agatha had puppies she would put them in a box and send them down the river....(joking of course!) but needless to say I was not amused! So i was sitting at there kitchen table and she askes me "well who would you rather have be pregnant, Me or the dog?"...I told her that I would rather see her get pregnant because I'm tired of having to hear about puppied being put down because of irresponsible owners....hehehehe :lol: She wansn't very happy with me at that moment in time! :wink: Sorry about the rambling..I just needed to share the good news with someone!

Having my dad read a book is a great idea. Except I know he won't because if I even suggest anything that has to do with dogs he thinks he is the expert. :x Not to mention the fact that he realy dosn't like me very much and won't listen to a word I say. Courtnek- I agree with you...I think the stress level in this household is too much for poor Zebra. Heck it's too much for me! Zebra gets very upset everytime we have an argument and is VERY afraid of my dad when he yells. My dad and I umm...well to be honest we hate eachother and we nearly get into knock down drag out fights sometimes. And everytime we fight zebra gets scared and runs and hides. It's soo awful and I feel like the worst owner ever to have Zebra suffer threw this. I've wondered so many times if it would be better if I gave him away. But I couldn't. That's why I'm "getting rid of" my parents by moving. :wink: Grr! I just wish houseing was cheaper around here...I have to have a roommate and the rent on the appartment will be at least 500 dollars....or about 750 pounds! :o ....Oh gosh now I'm just babbling on and on. Sorry. :oops:

Oh thank you for asking Rosebud!! :D Well Currently we are having private sessions with a trainer. Zebra seems to be picking up comands very fast...except for one. The ONLY comand he is having trouble on is "give"...the one comand that we realy need him to learn! :roll: I'm sure the little bugger knows that we need he to know that command and is being difficult on purpose. :lol: But Zebra is doing well. But the major problem is actually my dad. *sigh* he now thinks that he is Alpha and everytime Zebra does something wrong my dad gets that damn stick out and hits it on the floor! :x My dad needs more training than Zebra! So as of right now I'm not very happy with my dad..at all! And trust me I try to make him come with us to training class and he refuses. I'm starting to think that allot of Zebra's behavor problems come from the fact that I have a very unstable family life and there is allot of turmoil from my mom and dad. But thankfully I'm going to be moving out in 2 or 3 months with my freind and I'm taking Zebra with me. :P But all in all things seem to be going well right now. But I should be careful with what I say because I tend to jinx myself! :lol:

Nea- While reading your original post I started to cry. This is the exact same problem that I have with Zebra. And I understand completly. I know exactly how you feel....Zebra growls at me too and has lunged at my mom. He growls at my dad and little brother (he's not so little though :) ). I definitly think you should see a trainer with experience with more agressive dogs. And after lots of training things don't seem to get any better then maybe it would be better for the both of you to re-home him. You and your family don't want to have to constanly worry about the "what if's". Like what if he bites you...what if he runs away..and such. I agree with Courtnek- what you feel is part fear..part confusion and probabaly stress. I understand compleatly because I got Zebra spur of the moment..and I realy wish I would have thought about it more before I got a dog. But just don't give up...try all the possibilities before you decide to re-home him or anything like that. If you just wanna talk or something just PM me, ok? I always have an ear open.... :)

Is it SOOOOOOO hard to go to the humane society and drop the dog off?! I mean realy! Oh what a stupid Horrible evil B****!!!!! Grrr! Oh I hope she starves to death!
