Yeah Buck is licensed. It's the law and it's so cheap I can't see a reason not to do it. Plus if he's ever lost they can contact me by looking at the number on the tag (plus my own tag that is on his collar)

Very cool :-) Thanks for the information
She is NOT blue she is black. We have no papers. I dont know what to do. HELP
She's still the same sweet puppy you brought home. Just love her the same as you would if she were the puppy you thought you were getting. It's not her fault she's not the color you wanted.

Yuck!! I can't understand how they can stand to smell like that! I'm sure it was very disgusting!
-
Sounds like you're doing everything right! Good job with both your dogs :-)
-
Wow good job! That was some quick thinking :-) I'm glad Didi is going to be ok

I think the main problem is that it is milk, not that it is expired (as long as it is not way way way bad). I drink milk that is past the expiration date all the time. I know a few people who prefer it to be a little sour. But dogs don't have the enzymes necessary to properly digest lactose so that's what makes milk not very good for him. Keep dumping out the milk!

Yup, it sounds like she's got you pegged!

Paging Courtnek... is there a Courtnek in the house?

Did you get mine? :) -
Get used to it! You have what is known as a "velcro dog". It's a good thing :-) Just let her follow you around. Soon it'll feel like she's always been there.

Could you bring the paper outside and see if he will go on that?

This article is really interesting. It's about how different breeds of dogs can see differently. It's long so I'll post the summary here and a link to the full text.
Everyone wonders what it

It's so cute that your dogs take care of each other! What an awesome pair :)

That's too bad about the park and your field. People don't understand how yucky it is to have a hard time finding a place to take your dog. :( I'm glad you were able to free Goo's head from the chair! I bet she looked very silly stuck like that

Maybe I'm crazy but I don't really worry about ticks. We don't have a problem with deer ticks in our area and Wood ticks are pretty harmless. I usually find at least 1 or 2 on me every summer and about the same amount on Buck. When I found him I pulled over 30 off of him...

Adoption is such a viable option that I think someone being unwilling to dedicate 9 months carrying a child they created is incredibly selfish. There are a ton of good parents out there that would love to adopt a newborn. If you don't believe it, go check out the adoption pages.

Lions, and tigers, and bears...literally
kendalyn replied to Yoladybug's topic in Everything about dogs
It should be illegal to own those large cats. I can't think of one reason why anybody should own one as a pet. My Grandma used to have a skunk as a pet though. She loved that skunk to death. He was really sweet too. They do require a lot of attention though. -
Oh that is just awful for him :( I'll bet he's a real sweetheart Hopefully someone will be able to give him a great home
-
Awww he made me laugh too! Those ears are great

I think they drive everybody mad

I don't know if anyone has heard of this movie. It's called New York Minute and stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson. But that's not really the point. The movie also co-stars a Chinese Crested! It's kind of a good and bad thing. The breed gets some good publicity but it seems like sometimes when a certain breed is focused on in a movie, they get really popular and people start buying them based only on their popularity in the movie. I would hate for people to start buying Chinese Crested's impulsively. From reading Crested's posts they seem to require a lot of special care. :-?

As soon as I get back from dinner, I will write them a letter. Do you know how many people get that newsletter?!

Well the word trust and puppy don't really go together. She needs to be taught how to behave around other dogs. You can't really label her as dog aggressive just yet I don't think. Hopefully her new family will be ready to socialize her properly.

Thinking about getting a second dog...
kendalyn replied to SizzleDog's topic in Everything about dogs
If you think it's the right time for you to be bringing another dog into your life, just come right out and tell your parents. There's no other way to do it is there? It sounds like you think they will not like the idea. If they say no you only have 2 options. Accept it and move on, or become financially independent and get the dog. Just present a good case, and if they say yes, than great. But if they say no, I would just forget about it. There are lots of dogs out there and you'll have the opportunity to get another one at a later date. -
Shouldn't he be served with a copy of the complaint though? If not, this is public record and he should be able to get a copy. The complaint should list the names of the people pressing charges. It seems odd that some stranger at the dog park would know your name when you don't know theirs is all. If he looks distinctive, it's not like she went down to animal control and said, "Hey, this guy who looks like, yada yada yada, let his dog attack mine." Unless they live in a really small town or something. I still think talking to the person one on one might help.
