I had the same response when I had my 3 boys. I'd get awfull stares, and everyone I ran into would cross the street or tell me to hold them closer, they might attack. I even went to Petco with them & one woman with a tiny little Yap-Yap dog let her dog run lose, and when the boys came in the door she gasped and snatched the little dog away from my guys, saying "My god, why do you let such vicous dogs in here" I just rolled my eyes, and left. I never went back with them.

:drinking: :drinking: Well I'm mad, Madly in love with those 2 darling rotties. Apollo is already paid for, and he'll come home in a couple weeks, and Samson is the only puppy not to be spoken for, my heart melted at him & Apollo sleeping & playing togther. :D I guess I better do some thinking :wink:

Both are male. But both will be neutered when it comes time. I've had 3 male rotties in the house at one time with no problems. My 7yr old was the boss, and the other 2 listened to him with no questions.

I was thinking. We're getting a Rottie puppy, and we'd love to get the brother of the one we're getting, or would that be to much at once? Apollo, the one we're getting is the largest, and his brother Samson is one of the smallest. We're just wondering if it's a good idea.

You need to stop looking at every breed & saying I want this one or that one. Bulldogs aren't laid back, lazy dogs like you said. They can be very hard to handle & the play hard. Our neighbor had a bully, Porter & she spent more money on him then she did her kids. And Toller, from what I read need alot of exersise! Also you need to get Duke trained to stay, that's what happened to Sassy, she didn't listen to the stay comand when she got out the door, she got hit by a car, lost her leg & latter she had to be put to sleep. Do you want Duke to get hurt by wandering all over?

Well I know that our big X-mas gift is comeing after X-mas. A rottie puppy. But we'll be getting all the puppy goodies before the big day. But Becky & I do exchange gifts, and I can't say what I got her :wink: She reads Dogo :P

Well Becky & I decided to go to a *gasp* breeder for our newest addition. This is a great breeder all puppies are temperment tested & socialized, and both parents are health screened, and very social. SHe has 3 males & 2 females, we have our heart set on 1 of the males, he's a charmer, very laid back, and calm with all sorts of manhandling. His brothers are more pushy & nippy. The 2 girls are already spoken for. But we have to wait until after X-mas to get one. So we can buy all sorts of new puppy goodies for him!!! :) :)

Still no match yet, but still looking, I dont' want to rush it.

He does sound a bit over the top, but I've used prong collars on my rotties & also on Sassy, and they helped me control them, with no pain or discomfort to any of them. Kirby was the only one I didn't use a prong with, he was already trained when I got him, so no need for it. And prong collars aren't as awfull as they look. They actually work really well. JMO

Just flipping through a breed page & came across an or-pei. :o :o What an awfull idea mixing a pei & pug, the pics are just kinda creepy. My thing is, if you want a pei, get a pei, if you want a pug, get a pug, don't cross the two to make yet another mutt. If you want a mutt go to the shelter for petes sake. Right now, no Canine family members, but we do have other critters 3 ferrets, Taz Teddie, & Tink 3 cockatiels, Boo, BB, & lucy 2 budgies, Goldie & Little G 1 Quaker parrot, Quimbly 1 Rose Breasted Cockatoo, Rosie And many wild critters that come by to fed out of our many feeders. Had a Pei, Sassy recnetly had to put her to sleep, and before I had a GSD/husky cross, Kirby & 3 rotties, Rocky, Grizzly & Tripod

Unfortuntely, Jedi isn't going to come home with us. But we have a 3yr old female rottie on our list next, Chyna. She a pretty girl, very mellow. I hope she's the one. Little Jedi didn't do well with small furry animals, so Jedi wouldn't of fit here with ferrets & birds :( Oh well he's getting a great home.

Becky is all for it. I sure hope we get him

We're signing the paper tomorrow, and if we pass, we'll bring little "Jedi" home Saturday. He's a Rottie/Shepheard cross. What a little cutie :)

Is it too soon to be getting another dog? I've been visting shelters, and my heart is just melting at all the cuties out there. I still miss Sassy, but we want another dog so bad. I thank you all for your kind words. There was very little sleep last night. But I guess It'll get better with time. Someday we'll get another dog from the shelter. I gotta keep saveing lives :lol:
