So Sorry to hear that HF! Here, I drew this from his picture: I also wrote this awhile back: How can I help you Go in peace When you've been A part of my life For so long But age has caught you my friend And the time has come for me To send you on your way Please know that my heart is breaking But you told me it was time I'll miss those brown eyes That smile The way you stayed by my side Some say you were crazy And you didn't mean a thing But in my heart your my friend I'll miss your welcome when I came home From work Nothing can replace your love Some day I'll cross that bridge ANd see you again Where you human? No, your my dog And I love you So Godspeed my friend Time to run the medows Of the Rainbow Bridge And time for you to be whole again God Speed Rocco, you were well loved.

I feed both dog a mix of Pedagree Small crunchy bites with a can of beef bacon & cheese mixed in. I was wondering since we're on a tight budget, and they seem to actually eat, ist this a good enough food for them? I have a 1 yr old Sharpei & a 10 month old GSD. Both are eating adult formulas. In addition they do get an occasional snack of human food.

I'm telling the truth. Why can't I ask a question and not have everyone rip my bloody head off. I'm sick of being labeled a liar when I'm telling the truth....

You saw the picture didn't you?? Want me to take another one? I can do that if you want me too... For petes sake.

I came on asking a serious question, just asking for advice... But it's not worth it... So I edited it out.

Tomorrow I make the trip to the vet that I'm dreading. I've gotta let him go. He can't function like he used to, and it's breaking my heart.
-
How about chemo? Has the vet suggested that? I know this is hard and you definetely don't deserve the pain with all that you have been thru.
I don't know if I want to put him through the hell. I know chemo is exspensive also. I'll just keep good thoughts.

I've allready talked to the breeder, and she's calling all the other owners of the littermates. She's never had this in her line before. I'd do anything for him, but surgry isn't an opition, it's to far in, and in a spot that could paralize him permently. I'll just see how he gets on. If he lets me know he wants to go, I'll do it.  First fighting the battle with Sassy's problems now this :( :(
-
I'll let him tell me when the time is right. Right now he's still active, and chaseing the birds, and squirrels. But I hate to see him like this. He's my baby boy.

It's not good news for my boy. His Seziures are being caused by a tumor that's inside his head. And it's cancerous, and non-surgical. I'm going to be makeing some choices soon. It's so hard to deal with this.

I think someone needs a friend!! Not a tiger!!!!!

DogAge is 4.2! That's 1.8 years younger than the average DogAge for Zeus's breed.

I thought this was a cute animation for the pei lovers:
You know what SPG? I bet you anything if worse comes to worse, and you feel you can't afford whatever treatment he needs, I'm SURE everyone on dogo would be willing to chip in a few bucks. Just even like 5 bucks from each of us would probably go a long way!! :o
Thanks for the offer Sharra, but I wouldn't take it. I'm not the kind to take money from people without paying it back. Thank you for your kindness Sharra. He's my boy, and I'm worried about him. He'll be okay hopefully, if the vet would tell me what's up, but that's another thread.

What could be causeing the sezuires that my boy Apollo has been haveing allmost daily now!!! Took him to the vet this morning, showed absolutely nothing in blood work, CT, anything??? It's worrying me to death, they started monday, and have been getting worse as the week's gone bye. He's eating fine, acting fine, then he just falls over, and starts twitching. I don't want to lose my boy. I just want to know the answers, and this is costing me a forutne I don't really have, but I have to know what's wrong with him. I don't think I could put him to sleep if he's not suffering, giveing him to rescue would break my heart, but if I don't find some money, I don't know what to do. :(  :(
I could go for that!!! there ws some town that had a major problem with mosquito's but didnt want to spray the bug spray for them. They investigatd, and built, these "natural habitat" bird condo's and attracted mosquito eating birds to them. I dont remember what type of birds they are....  anyway, in the matter of one season, the mosquito problem was pretty much resolved. the birds got well fed, and well housed, and the mosquitos got toned down to reasonable levels. I thought that was a kinda unique solution...
They were probally Purple Martins, we have them around here and we don't have many skeeters.

Beautifull girl, Horiable story!! Chance Dog Pit Bull Terrier,American Staffordshire Terrier Size: Medium Age: Young Sex: Female I.D: Notes: Chance is not an MPR dog. She is being listed as a courtesy. Please take a moment and read her very sad story. Chance deserves a loving home soon! If pit bulls could talk, I think they would all tell the same sad stories. The abandoned ones, that is. “I wasn't fierce enough, I wouldn't fight... They treated me like I'm useless.” This must have been Chance's story because she was found discarded in the streets with a bullet in her head, abandoned and left for dead..... But this little girl didn't die. The bullet went down through her nose and out the bottom of her chin. It shattered her jaw, part of her sinus cavity and a piece of her tongue. Based on the level of infection in her sinuses when she was rescued, this little trooper had been wandering around with the wound for at least 2 or 3 days! After her rescue, she had surgery to repair her jaw and has since healed nicely. She has been spayed as well as a hernia operation-all of which went great! With everything Ms. Chance has been through, she has remained a happy, good-natured girl and remarkably loves people!!! She will have a few special needs because she will potentially have some medical issues. Because the bullet shattered her jaw, she may have sharp tooth fragments work up through her gum that will need to be removed (the worst of them have already been taken care of and any remaining fragments seem stationary). Also, Chance has a number of tiny bullet fragments lodged in her sinuses. They are also stationary and don't give her any trouble, but she may be prone to Sinus infections. This sweetheart has had a very rough start in life and she needs a forever home with a family that will lavish her with love and attention and show her that people are not all bad! Although Chance seems fine with some cats and dogs, she may do better in a home where she is the only animal-she'll get more attention that way and can be the princess she deserves to be!

Soon I'm going to have to make the big introduction of Scuffy the Westie to Zeus & Apollo the GSD & Rottie. They've all smelled each other through the gate & X-pen, but I'm wondering how they'll react once their all togther for the first time. Scuffy has wuffed at them a few times, with no reaction from the big guys. So maybe if I do it one at a time it might go better. Any ideas would be nice. :D
I had two dogs before.A rottweiler and the current pampered pooch.I treated them equally the same and everything.Sometimes as its a larger breed I fed it more treats than the small one.But with this dog I don't know why I neglected it
Why didn't you pay this dog the attetion you payed your perivous dogs??? Was she not worthy enough??
It was also teething.I did what I could to stop this.Treats, water spray, toys, ect. The dog is unsocialable
Did you ever consider her teeth were hurting, and she needed something soild to chew on. A rag frozen with water works wonders. And did you even take time to socialize her? It was your job to teach her how to be socialable in public & with other dogs. And your Job to teach her not to nip & bite!!
i admitt i didn't ''love'' the dog, because i didn't really get to bond with the dog.when we played it would have to become a training lesson due to her biting.
If you didn't love the dog, why'd you get her in the first place? You know training is bonding. I got through to an abused dog through training, he became my best friend. Just playing with a dog isn't all there is to bonding, teaching the dog your boss, that you make the rules, makes them respect you as leader, and that's bonding. But no you took her at the tender age of 4 months and dumped her off because you could take the time to work with a puppy who needed training. And don't come down on the shelters, they just do what they can with what they have!! I pray that you won't discard your other dogs, if they start to have problems.
-
It was a puppy!! What do you excpect a puppy to do??? Puppies nip, and chew. And you turned her over to a shelter for that?? That's BS. Did you take time to attempt to work on training? Or did you just ignore the dog??? She needed to be taught that nipping & biteing is a no-no, but you just threw her away. Was she even soicalized with other dogs?? She didn't get a chance to learn how to play nice. How long did you have this dog? And do you any other dogs??? I'll stop now before I say something I shouldn't  :x :agrue:

Just a little update on my Terrier. He's never been in crate, that's for sure!! He howled non-stop. He's got a nasty case of ear mites now, and still trying to get rid of all the fleas. But he's surprsied me with the housebreaking!! All I have to do is say outside & he runs to the door. So far no poo in the house!! Good boy, but he's still marking everything. We're working on that phase now. He's in doggie boot camp with the NILIF program. He does show some signs of mistreatment. I was moping the floor and he cowered anytime the handle got near him Bastards must of hit him with one or chased him with it.  But he's not stupid, he does know commands, such as sit & down. He's a good little fellow, and I never dreamed of owning a "small" dog. Even though he doesn't act like a small dog.
