1.
andyou would be right! I was listening to "5:00 somewhere " when I posted that. thank you for the correction
LOL I know my country music :) and I happen to love both songs, and know each one by heart. 8)
2.
"We'll raise up our voice against evil forces, singing 'Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses..." Willie Nelson and Alan Jackson, after punishing the 'bad guys"...
That'd be Willie & Toby Keith  Not AJ, Alan sings with Jimmy Buffet on 5 o'clock somewhere 8)
3. BTW: Ferrets aren't rodents, their actually in the weasel family, or their in the exotic area. Just to clear up the myth :D 11 ferrets, Taz, Teddie, Tink, Tucker, Tubs, Tilly, Bubba, Brutus, Badger, Farfull, Moose 6 birds, Boo, BB, Lucy the cockatiels, Goldie the budgie, Quimbly the quaker parrot, and Rosie the rose breasted Cockatoo. 1 Betta, Blaze.
4. GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG LABRADOR RETRIEVER COLLIE (SMOOTH) GOLDEN RETRIEVER LOL 3 out of the 4 I'd pick myself, not to big on Lassie dogs. But I love GSD's, labs & goldens :D
5. Shara, I have 8 birds & 2 dogs, & I don't have any problems. Of course my birds have a room to themselves where the dogs aren't alowed, but If I chose to bring one out into the liveing room, the dogs know to go lie down. I do have to watch my ferrets around the birds though. They'd make short work out of a pretty good sized bird given the chance.
6. Thanks for the tips everyone. I really need to get on the ball with training again. I kinda let everything go while I was dealing with some other stuff.
7. I'm about ready to kill both dogs!!! :x :x If this bitchy pushy fighting crap doesn't stop!!! Apollo is being a pain in the ass. Everytime Zeus wants to go out, or wants anything Apollo gets pissed off and shoves him away. I treat Apollo as the dominate dog, he gets everything first, and he does everything first. But after he's ate, he shoves Zeus out of the way & eats his food as well. I feel like this has got to stop, or I'm going to have a knock down drag out fight on my hands. Zeus tries to keep out of Apollo's way, but he always seems to get the short end of the stick. I mean I can't give out chews with out Apollo takeing them. I tried to let them settle it, but I don't want to see Zeus become fearfull of his housemate. I know GSD's are prone to fear problems. I just want some ideas on how to help this.
8. I have a neighbor who has a Standerd poodle he's an awesome dog.
9. I use the prong collar. I've always used one on my rotties, and I used one on Sassy. I feel they're more humane then a regular choke collar. Sassy tried to choke herself to death more then once at the end of the choke chain, no amount of popping could break her of lungeing at the end of the leash, until I put the prong on her. She still barked, but the lungeing quit. I'm useing the prong on my current rottie Apollo, we're trying to teach him not to go after any small furry critter outside. And we're also OB training him with a prong, and he's doing wonderfully. I guess it's all in how you use them.
10.
I'll quit posting on your site. sorry i offended so many. I was not offended by that pic...but can understand why others would be....and out of respect for that i will quit posting. I am not a peice of trash...just have a different sence of humour...and thats all..I would never intentionally hurt someone with that pic...I wasnt thinking....I guess I think that everybody can be subject to laugh about...others wise I would be extremely ofended by dumb blond jokes. I have never intentionally done anything cruel to man or beast. sorry for the pic.
I've just got to say one thing. I knew alot of kids who where in the special olympics, and they're wonderfull people. And I find offense to that pic. Sorry but that's how I am. I take bake the trash remark. But I don't find humor towards people like that funny.
11.
so i'll stop arguing
Your a peice of work  I hate people like you. Your the ones that pick on others for being differant   Your a peice of trash IMO
12. SRC, I would've but I left before he did. It just ruined my day for someone to say that. I love my Rottie, and I'd hate to see one bred to a Pit for fighting purposes.
13. Took Apollo & Zeus out for a jaunt to Petco, and I had the dumbest question asked to me I've ever heard. Someone was walking a large APBT around the store, and stopped to ask me if I bred my rottie, I'm like he's still a puppy. The guy's like, well if you ever decided to breed him, here's my number, I bet him & my Pit Bitch would make so d*mn good fighting dogs!! :o :o I was just awe struck. I calmly stated that Apollo, is being neutered when he reached the right age, and I'd never use a dog for that purpose. They guy then stated, well you'd make a boatload of money selling the puppies, I just turned I walked away. I can't believe some people are that stupid, to mix a rottie & an APBT?? I'd hate to think that a rottie & the APBT would be used in that manner. Who's to say this asshole won't go out & buy a rottie to breed to his Pit?? Argh I hate people like that :x
14. Poor Zeus has a bad case of puppy pyoderma. His belly & ellbows are all raw & very itchy. We got shampoo & anti-biotics to try & help him. But the vet said it's hard to get rid of, so looks like little Zeus has a world of water comeing up the next 3 weeks :-? A bath everyother day?? Isn't that a bit much???
15. Juile my dear, Your the one who needs an additude adjustment. No need to go off cussing us all. I stayed out of this, and let the pittie owners speak. But you have alot to learn about dogs. Not all dogs get along with others & be carefull about letting your dogs out if the others where poisioned.
16. This is just my opinion, but putting togther 2 breeds that do have medical problems, is a bit odd to me. I don't like the way the dogs in the pics differ from dog to dog. If this is supposed to be a "new breed" shouldn't they all look alike? I really don't have any info on them, other then their a pug/shar-pei cross.
17. I see Royal Cain has breed specific diets. Are they any good?
18. :o WHo knew puppies don't sleep when you do   I swear I got an hours sleep last night, between piddles & all out howling, it was a long night, and the little snot has enough energy to get up & go this morning.
19. :o Dang, just brought the guy home & everyone is wanting pics. Can he settle in for a few days before I stick some strange object in his face :P He just got done with his puppy wildness, and he just crashed in his crate. Soon it'll be another potty & poo break, another feeding, more wildness, and more potty & poo breaks.  Sounds like a borken record
20. Just poping in to say we made it home with Apollo, he cried a bit, but then settled down to chewing on his kong, we're going to get him settled in before I get some pics. But I'll say, he's a chunk!!. See ya'll later :D
21. :D :D :D We're heading out to get our new family member. It's a good 4 hr drive to go get him, so he'll be a tired pup when we get home. I'm driveing out & Becky's driveing home. Is it normal to be excited & nervous at the same time???  This is all so nerve wracking, new puppy, and a adult dog I know almost nothing about staying in our rec room. Can you say total stress out mode :o
22. I don't like either one. Finally found a rottie pic with full tail!!
23. We got him. Finally after baiting, and traping him in the backyard, we got him into the basement out of the rain & cold. He's so scared of everything we do, he hides in the corner of our basement when we go down to check on him. At least he ate the food we put down. He's pretty old, maybe 7 or 8 and skiny. It hurts to see a dog so scared of people
24. He's not agressive just scared to death, & yes we tried left-over ham from X-mas dinner, he got with in a about 2 feet & then ran. I want to help this dog, it's pour down rain, and he has to be soaked through, if only we could get him inside the fenced in part of the yard, then we wouldn't have any trouble getting him. We'll keep trying.
25. :x :x Someone has dumped a purebred GSD on our property. We can't get close enough to it to see if it's in good health or not. We want to get the poor thing before it gets out on the road somewhere. I can't stand idiots that'd do that to a dog.
