Sharpei, I'm SO sorry to hear that Sassy is gone. I really wanted so much to offer you support while you were struggling with her and I anxiously awaited updates on her, though I never said much. As you may know, I recently had to make the same decision with one of my increasingly volatile dogs. Sometimes when their minds are muddled, be it by head trauma, genetics, or whatever, the best thing to do is send them to the next life where their souls can be free and their minds can be clear. It's the humane thing to do and I often wish the same option were available for humans. I wish I had been able to offer more support, but I truly didn't know what to say without seeming callous because my thoughts for the last little while have been that you would need to let Sassy go. A little time has passed and I feel a little better each day about the decision to let my Penny go. I KNOW it was the right thing to do and what you did for Sassy was the right thing as well. She could not have been happy with her mind in such constant turmoil. You set her free and she will be there in the next life to thank you for it. I know it hurts and you will grieve. My thoughts continue to be with you. They always were; I just don't always express them so well.
No worries HF. I remeber your troubles with Penny, and I thought about it many times durning Sassy's problems. I just didn't know if or when it'd go that far.

Thank you all so very much, it's hard to read the screen through the tears. I just want to say, thank you all for your suport through such rough times. Sassy's life was improved by it.

The battle is over. Sassy crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She's now finally at peace. It hurts so much inside not to see her again. But I did what my heart, and a good dogo friend (K, thank you) said was best. Put your paw in my hand And I will guide you To the place where you'll Be Free of your pain I'll be strong for you I know you're weak And I know your in pain I will give you my greatest gift God called you dear Go on your way Go run with the others Go my dear friend (c) Crystal Goens 2003 March 25th 2003-November 19th 2003

I don't know what to do :( It's un-fixable. She's still at the vets office under watch. All signs point to a major head trauma. I don't know if I should go back & let her go, or keep trying with the drugs she's packed with. Is the Rainbow Bridge Calling Her Name, and I'm keeping her from it. I just don't know what to do

Good luck with her :D

To Bad a Zookeeper wasn't around to lure him off her with food. Heck when they got him off they should've beaten the holy hell out of her and threw her in and let them have thier way with her. Stupid humans. DO NOT ENTER!!! Can she not read??? :x :x :x -
No, I won't stare at her, she's agressive, and she'd take that as more of a threat. Becky can go up to her and talk to her, like nothing, but if I set foot in the room it's holy hell. Becky has agreed to take her outside, and and stuff tonight. I don't want to lose her so soon. After all the progress we made, and now this. I just wonder why her little world is so messed up, she doesn't understand why she's like this either. I hate BYB's & PM's. I know that Sassy had to be a BYB reject. She was a single puppy without a mom, or littermates at the shelter :(
-
She had a full vet work up when she was hit by the car. I'm seriously wondering if she took a blow to the head, and somthing isn't going on there. :-? :(
-
I feel like I've compltely lost the battle with her. I knew she had agression problems, but it was never towards us. She's going to hurt herself on the crate if she doesn't chill out. Becky can get near the crate, and open it & Sassy doesn't react, but if I come anywhere near the crate, she goes off, and her hackles go up.
-
Only thing I did was take her collar off. She just went after Becky when she came home from work. I managed to get her into her crate with out to much damage. :o :o What happened to her?????????? She was fine this morning, and during the day, but this evening, she just flipped out. I'm going to take her to vet first thing tomorrow, if I can even get near her. Everytime I walk by the crate she goes off  :( Someone please tell me what's going on
-
Sassy just bit my arm :o I have no idea what I did, or what she thought, I'm just stunned right now. I thought we had our problems worked out, and now this :(
that did work. In order to post an actual photo, you have to right-click on it and go to properties and get the actual address for the photo, not the site at which it is at. i did it for you, and what a doll I might add! I love this dog!! I love rotties, darn shame she's in Mintasota(sp)
-
Damn. Such a loss of life
-
  God, poor Rottie
-
What a F*cking mess. "Killer" deserves so much better then the abuse he's reciveing at the shelter he's in. Damn it, if I was in Cali, I'd freaking pull him. I've got the crate & everything, but since I'm in Kansas City, I can't do a damn thing. :(
-
Why would they use a control stick to remove a friendly dog???? :x This boy can't be PTS, what a stupid mistake some one made by useing the control stick.
-
Thing is, he won't come to me. He's agressive. And I don't know if he's got a home or not. But I know he's fully intact, and he's skiny. I've called on him before, but no one ever came for him  Looks like another call is in order. :x I love dogs, but this dog is a pain in the butt

Is this one bloody stupid??? And can't she read?? Hello it's a wolf, not a husky dog. I can't believe they shot & Killed him  What a waste of a beautifull animal, and what a shame a stupid human caused it :( -
Neighbors make me crazy...Rosebud may appreciate this...

A friend of ours has 3 bloodhounds, and my gosh do they bay, anything & everything set them off  -
We're big suckers for sick fur kids, in fact the other day we brought home a foster ferret, that we've decided to keep, and add to our little family. Billy is a tiny Albino boy, missing an ear & he's blind in one eye :( But he's a happy boy. :D
-
Today was a bit of a set back again :o She got into a scrap with a stray dog, no damage done to either one, but still stressed her out. I wish people would keep their dogs in their yards or in the house when no one is around to keep track of him. Any ideas on how to keep him out of our yard, cause we have a huge yard, 4 acres, 2 are fenced. And in durning the day we take her out on leash in the non-fenced area, and that stupid English Pointer came up and came after her :x
-
She doing really well with three legs, she still has some balance problems, but she's getting it down really well. She can run again, and boy did she tear around that yard with the other dog. She was happy, and very submissive towards him :o I still have a ways before perfect
