Sassy came through surgery just fine, minus a leg, & she has a pin in the other leg. But all in all she's doing great. Sleeping a ton, and really not interested in eating. It's going to be a long hall for her. NBut she;s my Sassy girl

;) Pizza'a already here. And I think I'm going to watch Tradeing Spaces tonight, and try not to worry about my baby girl. The thing that's driveing me mad is, no tags jingleing, or wanting to out to go potty. And the her crate is so empty :cry: :(

Sassy would love that!! But my Rotties would've had a blast with them. Rocky was the one who destroyed every toy put in front of him. He even tore the kong apart within 3 mins. :roll: :roll:

Just got a call from the vet, she's going to take her left leg off monday, the damage wasn't just to the bone, but to the muscle & nerves also. Right leg seems to be doing okay, but she'll look at it Monday. She's been whineing alot from the pain, and isn't very happy with all the strange people handleing her, so they had to muzzle her every time :roll: I love my vet so much, she's gone the extra mile today to try to help my Sassy Girl, she stayed way past closeing just for me. And she always has someone on call all night to keep an eye on everyone. Don't know much about Amputation on dogs, and if they have to take the right leg also, how can she move around?? :( :-?

I understand what you mean :) I don't watch the show much at all, and they do seem to take points away for stuff thats really hard & part of a job the animal does, when they slip, or something

How about one of Welsh Corgi breeds? Small dogs, smart & tons of personality :D

Thank you all for the suport & kind words at this time. Sassy has a long road ahead, and for me, money is tight, but Sassy means more to me then a few late bills. She's my baby Pei girl. I don't know what I'd do with out her :( She looks so dreadfull right now, lots of road rash, bandages everywhere, and they have one of the protective collars on her. I'm going to miss her little curly Q tail. But she's alive & that all that counts.

Been a long night, morning & afternoon. Sassy's been in surgery to try & fix her back left leg, it's in bad shape. She had to have her tail removed, it was to far gone to save. It's just a waiting game right now. Vets want to see if she'll ever regain the use of that leg before moveing on to Amputation. She's under heavy sedation, and her heart & lungs seem to be okay, no problems there but it's her back legs they are messed up, left leg was worse then the right. But the right might have suffered nerve damage. Luck has not been on my side these last few months :roll:

Damn it. She's been hit. :cry: :cry: Don't know how badly she hurt, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT. Dad is takeing her the ER Vet now. I gotta wait for Becky to bring the truck home to go be with my Sassy :cry:

:o Sassy loves water, she the most Un-pei like Shar-pei in the world. I know she's just got come home tonight, or I ain't sleeping at all. I wish the front yard was fenced now, this wouldn't of happened, but it's my dad's house, me & Becky just live there, so no fence in the front :oops: :( If only Becky would come back so I can hop in the truck & go look.

He took the one car, Becky is in the other one, posting flyers, I'm stuck at home trying to keep it togther. I've got 2 phone lines open at all times, thank god for 3 lines. And now it's pouring down rain :(

he has her favorite toy, a duck that quacks, and her Piggie ear strips & her leash. I'm about ready to go nuts, thank god I have Dogo to give updates to!!

:o Dad just called, he tried to get her as she was running towards the highway, but she got scared & ran off the other way. She's never been outside alone at night :( At least he saw her! He's going to keep following her until he gets her.

My partner just called all the local shelters & left messages, and had me send E-mail's with her pic. Flyers are allready up. I'm so worried right now, this is how Kirby died, he got out & got hit by a car :oops: :cry:

She's wearing her nylon collar with her Rabies & ID tag, she's not chipped though :( Our Neighbor saw her cutting through the woods, but she wouldn't go near him :( :cry: So My dad is out in the truck looking, I just came back in from searching again. I'm getting tired & it's starting to rain :( I can kick myself for not fixing the door

:cry: :cry: :cry: Sassy got out this afternoon at 3:30pm, still no luck finding her. I know she'd never go to a stranger, I have no idea where she's gone too. :oops: D*mn door didn't close like it was suposed to :oops: I'm just sick right now not knowing where she is :cry: :cry:

I'm trying to teach Sas the command leave it. I can't seem to get it throug to her. She'll sit, stay, but when I put the treat down & say leave it, she ignores the correction, and eats the treat :roll: Our trainer says it's sometimes hard to get a Pei to listen to leave it. And since Sassy is a "Problem Pei" as my trainer says, it even harder to make her follow a comand. But she is getting good at sit, stay, off, no jump, hurry up & kennel. But, lie down & leave it are hard for her to get the point of. She just refuses to lie down, even with treat, and the pull the legs out. Any Help would be great :D

I could just see me trying to put Sassy in trials, she'd bark at every dog around, and then ignore me, cause she's to worried about what every one else is doing :lol:
