I can't get her in till friday. :( I'm beyond worried about it.. :(

It was an infected hair follicle & it went away, but it didn't turn black like this one has :o Tomorrow we go off to the vet, keep your fingers crossed for it to be the same thing.. :(

I've found a new lump on Sassy's side, this time on her hip.. This one has started out just red, now it's turning a black color & the vets aren't open till tomorrow :( I hope it's nothing serious, she's had one before and it went away, but this one isn't.. I'm going to try to dress sassy up like a bunny, we have a set of bunny ears, so sassy will be a bunny. Not sure about Zeus :lol: He'd eat anything I put on him :lol: :lol:

It irks me that someone who supposedly loves dogs, she doesn't even use the dogs name.. Why call him an "it", use the name you gave him Nookie..

Thank you for the replies, I can give you a bit more info. Last time she had it there was a dark discharge along with her straining to pee.. Took a sample to the vet, and they found it to be very cloudy & containing a dark clumpy material.. SHe was put on high dose antibiotics.. Cleared it up really well.. This time she started the straining to pee, and wanting out all the time... Took a new sample to the vet, it was cloudy again.. No discharge, but still enough to warent antibitotics. Double the dose this time.. 1000 mg in the morning & 1000 mg in the evening. that 4 pills daily.. for 10 days. Then we re-check. Any tips on makeing the pills easier to give??? we've tried everything!!!

Is there any way to prevent UTI's?? Sassy is dealing with her 2nd one. She curently on antibiotics, and it's diffacult to give them to her.. Is there anything I can give her to prevent them??

Can you get the sister to come & say, the dog was at my house, and not running around here.. If it was I'd tell them off..

I'm so proud of my girl! She did all I asked of her, but we didn't go to the creek, it was a bit too cold for that. But she went on a walk with me & a neighbor. And did really well.. We still have alot of work to do with her though..

I think Izzy said it first, why not rescue a small dog, there are plenty of them out there in rescue that need good homes. Maybe do that instead of buying a dog..

Thank you all for your replies. Today was a good day for me & Sassy, she behaved like a perfect little lady.. No battles of wills, nothing, she sat, stayed, and came when asked.. Daily we will be doing some training in the backyard on leash.. Hoepfully it'll get better daily as we work on it.. Tomorrow I might walk her down to the creek, and see if she can handle distraction..

[/quote] Why don't you spell it out? I'm not stupid, I know your talking about me. And my past has nothing to do with what I know about dogs.. I'm not the perfect owner, no one here is.. And I still think any dog labeled as Tea Cup is bad news..

For Pete's Sake DAL, can't you take someone disagreeing with you?? We don't like the idea of Tea cup dogs & you want the thread locked?? Or is because it's me & LC posting the anti Tea Cup posts?? You don't have to like what we say, you don't have to reply to what we say, but Think before you buy a Poorly bred dog!!

But I was just telling you you need to be carefull getting a So called Tea Cup anything. And you can come out & say it's my posts you don't want to read.. But I'm serious about how I feel about the whole "Tea Cup" & "Mini" dogs! It's BS. To breed a dog just for size is wrong period.. Do you know how many breeds have been damged do to Mini's?? Mini GSD's, Mini Peis? Whats next? Mini Labs, Rotts, Goldens? Where will it end. And if you buy a Tea Cup Chi, your just supporting that crap..

DAL, No normal breeder would breed Tea Cup dogs for profit. Just think before you get a tiny dog, and then have to pay vet bills for Low Blood sugar problems, and other problems.. I don't like the idea of breeding Mini-dogs. I just saw something about Mini Shar-pei's & it made me so mad!! No one should breed dogs so small they have health problems. If you want a Chi, get a full sized chi.. They're still Small.

thing is with a Tea Cup Chi, your talking a tiny little dog!! Maybe I'm to nervous about mixing sizes, I just don't know how the bigger dogs would react to a tiny little moveing animal. Knowing my 2, they'd think TOY! Wouldn't be pretty. But I don't know the temperments of Cody & Zoey, they might do just fine with a small dog.

DAL, I'd rethink the combo of a very small dog with 2 larger dogs.. Cody & Zoey could seriously hurt a smaller dog, just in play. Just make sure you know what might happen should you bring a Little Bitty Dog home.. One misplaced paw & the little thing could get seriously hurt. Plus Teacup Chi's are just a BYB idea to make more money selling sickly & defective dogs. Breeding a dog till it's no bigger then a rat isn't right. Chi's should stay Chi sized, not so small they don't look like dogs..

I'm totally frustrated with Sassy. Lately she been getting hard to control, and she's becomeing more aggersive. I have to take her out on a Prong collar & leash to go potty, since our whole yard isn't fenced. Well this afternoon I've been out about 15 times with no results.. So I try to take her inside, but she fights me. She'll put her front feet on the leash & try to bite my hand holding the leash. She's never done this before I started her on a prong collar, and it just recently became a problem. I don't know what to do, and I don't know what I've done wrong.. And I don't have the $$$$ to go to behaviorist or trainer.. She's also an escape artist, and her Recall isn't there.. She choses to ignore you rather then come back for a treat.. We don't have the money to fence in the entire yard, and she can easily get over the fence in the backyar without being on a chain.. I just need some ideas..
