  1. Perhaps some day a genetic marker will be invented that will differentiate between different breeds. The eejit who wrote that site really needs educated.
  2. Good luck with the treatment
  3. Your grandparents sound very old-school and thinking they know best. Is it possible to get a behaviourist in to talk to them about the muzzle? I hate muzzles i have to say but Sassy is an aggressive dog and will bite from what I can gather so its the only solution right now.
  4. Arghhh Zoe tore down the door (literally tore away the door jam) last night and got so worked up and was retching away. Then today we ad a heavy monsoon type thunder storm and that drove her crazy as well. Thank goodness the next fireworks won't come until 12th July again!
  5. Someone in England just got a Krom pup to do agility with so it could well be the start of the introduction of the breed to the UK agility scene!
  6. I think that it is associated with pressure on certain parts of the body like under the dogs legs where t- touch would normally be applied. I honestly don't know for sure though.
  7. Just wanted to add that on another doggy forum someone suggested putting a t-shirt on a dog who was scared of fireworks. Now I was very sceptical of this idea but the people who tried it came back with great reports so may be worth a try?
  8. awww I am so sorry Sarah. Stay strong and thoughts are with you *hugs*
  9. If Bongo is going to get it, its very likely that he already has it from Bailey and may not show signs until several days to weeks later. Hopefully they will both be fine
  10. Scout will let her know when she has gone too far. This is a great way for puppies to learn how hard to bite when they mouth another dog
  11. Firstly what a shock to hear that wee Boonie has heartworm. I am so surprised that he wasn't tested by his previous carers. I would be of the opinion..nothing ventured, nothing gained. I think you should try the HW treatment and take it from there. *hugs*
  12. :o Candy are you for real? Were you born ignorant or just decided one day that you would be?
  13. Blatant ignorance... please do us all a favour and leave
  14. stupid kid..
  15. sounds veryy like a Border collie type with the tan points and black and white marks but a pic would definitely help.
  16. aww its such a big vaccine for a little dog when you consider that a great dane puppy gets the same dose of vaccine as a little dog!
  17. Good luck at the vets and let us know what happens
  18. Good to hear that the programme promoted rescue dogs
  19. sad but the owner took a huge risk taking a dog to a BSL county... :-?
  20. You shouldn't reach out for the puppy as soon as it whimpers. This is rewarding the puppy for attention seeking which in later life will turn to asking for attention through barking. Make sure the puppy is in a small crate and has a soft blanket and something to snuggle with in its crate. You could also put in a ticking clock to help soothe and settle the pup. When the puppy is quiet , than that is the time to go to the pup and praise it gently. Learning in puppies is shaped majorly by their environment so it is better to use conditional training from day dot when you get your puppy to avoid problems of unwanted behaviour in later life.
  21. Thats terrible! :o HF in no way are your dogs mistreated. The photos that you post of them show happy and healthy dogs that adore you for adoring them
  22. Hey Izzy great to see you here again. Don't be a stranger and hope all the family is doing well
