  1. Good to hear that Scout isn't suffering anything after his ordeal
  2. Thats great that you are pulling him and giving him a chance! Is he a full BC? To be honest to me he looks like he is mixed with a spaniel, not that it matters of course!
  3. She looks very raw considering he was spayed a few days ago. Baby sudacreme or something similar will help to soothe the wound. Socks on her back feet may also be an option but usually they don't stay on!
  4. They look like white GSD x siberian husky but I don't see any sign of wolf in them at all.
  5. Meg is a bum wiggler wagger
  6. desert: of course Border collies are the coolest breed...not that I'm biased of course 8)
  7. Jake ended up in 3rd place with a lot of votes! Well done Jakie
  8. He sounds like a gorgeous big boy. I'm just curious but I'm assuming you mean a Groenendael? In America is the Belgian shepherd called a Belgian Sheepdog?
  9. Please don't revert to a choke chain. I've said it dog knows how many times before and I'll say it again, they cause irreversible trachea damage. For that reason they have been banned by my dog club for years . Its just an old school lazy way out in my opinion and you can get results by using a normal collar and lead. It just takes perseverance.
  10. If the dogs are all receiving proper attention and care and not suffering then its fine.
  11. Thats such a sad poem, but drives the message home.
  12. It doesn't matter but dogs when doing heelwork are always worked on the left hand side. Even if it is just for normal walking down the street keep to the left side when you are starting off otherwise you have a confused dog who will criss-cross to each side and create hassle.
  13. I have to wait until I'm a bit more settled with sander. I plan to travel a bit this year so it wont be this year :-? I still have my wonderful little Meggie dog though and I've started to work with and train a neighbours bc x sp.sp. so at least I have dogs within reach :)
  14. Shes young yet so give her time  . Get her acclimatised to the lead. Its not a natural thing for a pup to walk on the lead but you can help by using treats as an incentive to get her to walk and to come to you. Also having another vaccinated dog is a good idea and it will teach her to move forward.
  15. Glad to hear that he is at least feeling a wee bit better in mind
  16. Happy whelping day Ilsa :bday:
  17. Yay for happy happy news :D
  18. Meg was called a sheltie once when we were down at the park  Shes a little smaller than usual Border collies because she has working parents, and this idiot argued with me one day that she couldn't be a border collie :o
  19. voted! Still in 3rd place!
  20. BM , Bongo will let you know when the time is right. for now just spoil him rotten and enjoy your days together
  21. Really nice looking pup :)
  22. What do you mean when you say "nicely"? If you want obedience style heelwork then the best way is to hold the lead in your right hand, keep Cinco on the left always and use food just above his nose to show him where the correct heel position is. You can help him by always stepping off on your left foot. Dogs judge by body language and feet/head/shoulders position dictate the position of a dog.
  23. I would say he would be a classic springer x lab with possibly a bit of border collie thrown in
  24. Sorry but I can't vote again til tomorrow but I will do
  25. My friend just brought over her 13 week old Border collie pup. Shes called Niko and I am so totally in love :D Its amazing how fast she learns. We showed her the i-qube and she figured it out after being shown only a few times and I taught her to weave in only a few seconds :D I really am desperate for my own BC pup very soon!
