Congrats on your new furbabe :D

Good luck with your new puppy. Start from now teaching him basic obedience with reward so that he learns to respect you and will hopefully be a more managable dog as an adult.

Looking back I had dreams. I have been watching Crufts every year since I was very young (I used to get my cuddly dogs and do dog shows with them my Mum says!) and I was always wowed by the obedience championships. Back then it was my dream to one day have a dog that was good enough to compete at Crufts in the Obedience champs and last year that dream came true :D

They are such a strong willed breed and certainly not a breed for a novice. I've only ever met 2 and both were extremely hard headed and aggressive animals. They are on the banned breed list in N.Ireland.

Great name! :D

I groom my own animals but if i go to the hairdressers or to my beauty therapist I would always leave a small tip. I think that you should always tip for a good service so certainly groomers should be tipped

That sounds like really bad news. Keep us posted on what happens Pup and if there is a petition you can count me in for a signature

Accidents happen so perhaps you can learn from this and get your dog spayed. For every puppy that you get a home for, one more puppy will die in a shelter. The only way to stop this is to be a responsible owner and get your bitch spayed.

I captured a Bernese mountain dog that escaped from a veterinary surgery. My Dad was driving and I spotted a very lost looking dog so gave chase then the vet gave the story of him escaping but I managed to sweet talk the big lad around and get a lead around his neck! The vet was really grateful and gave us brilliant discount on getting our kitten Phoenix neutered :D

Meg has an assortment of collars and leads but we need those for different activities :P Slip lead for agility (so that I don't balls up and leave a collar on and get us eliminated before she even runs!), show lead for showing, braided lead and flat collar for obedience, normal rope lead for training and I always have a few spares in case any break!

Caesar? :P

Its very simple. Just turn the ear flap over and hold the dogs head at a slight angle so that the outer ear canal is visible. Use your finger and thumb in a brisk movement and just pluck out any hairs that are in the canal. You can't do it wrong this way, but it may take yor dog a little time to get used to, so you may want to try just touching the ear as routine to desensitise him.

Instead of intentionally attempting to mess with genetics of a breed that you are unlikely to find common in america, and adding to the escalating problem of unwanted puppies, I suggest you go to your local shelter and observe some dogs there.
-
When the pups are weaned take your bitch to be spayed to prevent further puppies that add to the growing problem of unwanted pups in shelters.

Glad that hear that you got Pixie sorted out :)

A while ago I said that I was going to go to a chiropracter spiritualist type woman to havemy inner chi aligned. Well I found out this woman also does horses and dogs. Meg still isn't sound and rest isn't making any improvement, which makes me think that something is out of alignment along her vertebrae. I talked to this woman tonight and explained and she said that she would see her, so I'm going to talk to her owners for the go ahead. Hopefully my baby will be put right. :D

That sounds like bliss :D
