At Crufts she was the reserve dog for the team so she didn't run. I went after I posted the last post to try see her and she wasn't there...probably at the vet because the other 2 dogs were there. After that I just walked for a while trying to make sense of this crazy situation. He still hasn't made contact with me after me putting the letter through the letter box this morning. I just don't know what else to do and thats the truth. :( My eyes are so bloodshot from crying all day. I can't thank you all enough for the support you all have given me. Thank you is too small a word.

My worst fears are confirmed. I went this morning to the house and again the padlock was on. I passed the front window and his wife was there getting her hair cut and saw me. I rang the door bell and got no answer. I think I waited on the doorstop about 10 mins but I was ignored. I rapped the letter box and her hairdresser answered. Margaret saw me then and I asked about seeing Meg and she said sammy was in bed and i should talk to him. I asked about the padlock and asked was it for me. She answered that she wasn't getting into it and I have to see him. That confirmed what I suspected last night and I walked to the back to see Meg over the fence and poured my eyes and heart out to that little dog then walked home. I got back home and sobbed over and over. I wrote the letter like I was going to and in it I wrote that I don't understand what I have done wrong or why our relationship has been affected, then I poured out all my emotions about Meg and my love and bond with her then ended the letter asking him to please contact me so we could try and talk. I have sobbed all night and today I got up and tried to convince myself today would be different but after seeing Margaret I broke totally and I have cried all day in my room, then at work in the stock room when I was alone and when I got home as well... the tears just keep flowing. . The thought of never seeing Meg again sickens me and I guess now the ball is in his court. He didn't even have the decency to come to me and say anything, but I now am being told that at Crufts my name was totally defaced and its just a good job that I have true friends who will relay information to me  I just don't understand what I've done wrong. Its just like my worst nightmare. I'm exhausted of emotions and feel so hurt and dejected and yet still I can't stop sobbing...they even ignored me as I was standing on their very door step...like i was a piece of filth or something.. :sadCyber: :placz:

oh geeze I'm chasing my tail round in circles. I'm not in such a state anymore and I'm thinking more with my head than my heart. I've scrapped the letter and I'm going tomorrow morning to see her. If hes there I'll mention i was there and say about the padlock and pass a comment that its for house security or something. I just don't know. Its new and I went mental when I saw a physical barrier between me and Meg tonight. You folks must think Im a right nutter relaying all the problems here :-?

Relax as much as possible. Take your dog to the loo before you run. Most dogs adapt very easily to running indoor if they have been running outdoor. Also make sure you stretch your dog well before he is due to run. Jog up and down with him and get him to spring on his hind legs to stretch out his back. Also make sure he gets a small feed a few hours before he runs. Never starve a dog or let him run on an empty stomach before competing in agility especially. We would never be expected to run a marathon on an empty tum and the same goes for a dog. As for the crowd? I see the crowd before I walk into the ring with Meggie and regardless of whether its a few people or several thousand, they will just melt away when you start to compete. Once you are in that ring you won't even notice the crowd. You will see them before and after you run but the inbetween bits its just you and your dog running as a partnership. one last thing: Most importantly remember that no matter what happens you will ALWAYS take home the best dog on the day. Good luck and have fun!

You guys n girls are too great. The latest tonight is that I went to see her and theres a padlock on the gate. I scaled the gate and she was on her own in the shed where they have their kennels and she went mental seeing me. She was whimpering and i just couldn't console her because she was so worked up and trying to tell me how pleased she was in her own wee doggy language. She had me in tears just like I'm sobbing again now and thats the gods honest truth. Hes away to the dog club now with the other 2 dogs and I'm going to write a letter and put everything down on paper. I don't know if that new padlock is for my purpose or not but it is killing me inside...it hurts so much to think that he would restrict me from seeing Meg. She may just be a wee dog to some but shes my whole life. It just hurts so much and i feel like i'm going to be sick.

Thanks for listening to me today folks. Only doggy minded people understand how I feel and I appreciate you girls n guys letting me vent out on here. I've never wished ever for Crufts to be finished quickly and I've never refused going but this year was to make a statement even though she was still taken. Its over now and I'll see my baby tomorrow :D

I keep getting texts that shes benched and very depressed looking. It appears now that she may be used because so many are retiring their dogs because the jump used for retrieve over hurdle is not safe... rightly so but if its not safe, I can't see him putting her interests over his.

This is a photo taken from this morning by ObedienceUK.com where they photograph all the teams. Now tell me please. Does that look like my happy little Meg? My heart just goes out to her so much and I just want to hug her and reassure her right now. I'm in tears now seeing her like that. Now you know why I protested so strongly about my girly going with him...

yep I think the English setter or the Beagle will take it though it depends on todays working and pastoral results

way cool! I want a border collie one!! :D

sorry Mei Mei I'm not there this year to take the pics, so can just get from the kennel clubs website. www.crufts.org.uk You can also follow that link to get to Crufts radio as well  Tv coverage this year however is totally rubbish. Too much time spent in the commentary box with new commentators and less time out on the floor with the dogs!
-
Toy: Chihuahua (smooth)- predictable as the judge breeds chi's! Utility: Japanese Shiba Inu (this will please ya Gigi  )
-
Marion have a great time with the others! :D I'll see you all there next year  The latest today from the Bitch Obedience championships is that 2 bitches have pooped in the ring because of the breed dogs last night dropping their bottoms in the main ring and the smell of disinectant is over-powering so I'm told. Just goes to show that even at the top, anything can happen on the day!

Its a real breed and registered on the import list with the KC. They just look like a curly Bichon x poodle really from what I've seen of them at shows and at Discover dogs.

How did u fall for ur dog(s)?
imported_Kat replied to CincoandDahlilasgirl's topic in Everything about dogs
Great stories from all you folk. I haven't actually even chose a dog before. My dad chose Zoe as a 2 week old puppy because she was the most mischievious of all the pups and even at that age she was pottering and yapping as she wriggle over to him hehe. Meg was chosen by her owners or rather the breeder said to give her a trial as the woman fell for Meg the quietest pup and the breeder planted her in her lap as they were about to drive away. The first time I met Meg however she was very clingy with me and we just bonded :D -
stupidity is even too good a word to describe this girl :o

Hes taking her to crufts tomorrow. I've said all I can say with dignity about the situation but i know I did the right thing by withdrawing my entry with her. Some people just are so selfish...
