4.
 BK is manic in thunderstorms. He doesn't mind lightning but if there is thinder he will stay out in the yard barking ALL NIGHT. He won't go to bed until the thunder has gone. Then he thinks he's scared it away and looks so satisfied with himself.
That is to funny! I can just picture him smiling as he walks around so proud of himself for scaring the thunder away.

 10. Nostalgia don't mind the thunder to much. When there is a big crash of thunder, she will lift her head up then find another spot to sleep. I guess she thinks if she finds another spot to sleep she will not hear the thunder as bad next time.

 18. Hey guys! :D Thought maybe you can help me on a little problem i've got. :-? Well first let me tell you that i am watching my friends dog for her for a couple of weeks. She is a west highland terrier. And her name is Bonnie. She is a very sweet dog! And Nostalgia loves her. :calus: She is not scared and follows you every where. She is laying on my foot right now as i type. Here is the little problem..... Nostalgia and Bonnie eat different dog foods. Nostalgia eats Nutro Max and Bonnie eats Bil-Jac. (Which i've never heard off) They look like little bunny food pellets. :o If I were a dog, i don't think i would eat them either. Nostalgia on the other hand.... she will eat anything. :o  Anyways, I leave food out for Nostalgia during the day and they want use to keep a cup of Bonnie's food out for her during the day also. Well the problem that i'm running into is they both want to eat each others food. They both have no aggression towards each others food which is a big relief. It's just them eating each others dog food. I don't want them to get sick from eating another kind of food, or get the runs. :( Please help me, any advice would help. :help1:

 23. Kiger, here is something i came aross on petfinders about raw food. They give a web site to go to and even give a recipe. Notes: We strongly recommend that dog owners feed their dogs a "raw food" diet. It's easy. It's cost effective. And, it is much healthier for your dog! We can say uncategorically that we have switched to a raw food diet for our personal dogs and many of our rescue dogs, and the results are undisputable. Dogs heal quicker, have stronger immune systems, cleaner teeth, brighter eyes, better coats, and are less likely to suffer from chronic problems if they are fed the type of diet that they were designed to eat. We have had many dogs -- many of whom were released to rescue because of chronic skin conditions -- who have shown almost immediate improvement merely from a diet change. Even dogs who do not have any apparent physical problems will show significant improvement in overall health when being fed a raw food diet. A raw food diet is not complicated. It can be as simple as a few chicken wings . . .a turkey neck . . .a little bit of hamburger . . .and some pureed vegetables. For a pictoral, go to www.auntjeni.com/barf.html. There are also a number of places where pre-mixed raw food diets can be purchased. Our favorite pre-packaged raw food can be purchased through www.auntjeni.com. Although it seems that raw food is more costly than kibble, in the long run, you save a great deal of money by feeding a raw food diet. The money is saved because your dogs are healthier and because you don't have to have costly dental work done. Raw bones keep a dog's teeth sparkling white! A great book to read on this topic is "Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats" by Kymythy R. Schultz. Please consider raw food. Your dogs will live longer, be happier, and they will love you for it! Here is a at home recipe that we use also. This is an everyday meal 1 large bag green beans (thawed) 2 boxes spinach chopped (thawed) 1 bag carrots (eliminate carrots if your dog has a yeast problem and substitute an above ground veggie. There is sugar in carrots and yeast feeds on sugar.) 2 box summer squash (pureed type) 2 sweet potatoes cut into pieces (excellent if added but eliminate if your dog has a yeast problem) 2-3 tbs.. garlic powder (optional -- let your nose and your dog decide) 7 lb hamburger, ground turkey or chicken (raw) (This will make a very large amount (at least 14-20 baggies, which can be a two week or a one month supply, depending on whether you use a half bag a day or a whole bag). To test this with your dogs, cut recipe in half the first time) In a food processor or grinder chop up green beans and dump into a large bowl. Add the spinach, carrots (if you are using them) squash, sweet potatoes (optional) and mix. Add your garlic (your nose will tell you how much) Add the ground meat and mix well This is meant to be frozen raw, not cooked so you get all the benefits of the vitamins in the veggies and the meat is not dangerous if kept fresh and frozen. Scoop out what ever you think you'll use for two or three days and put in a baggie. Flatten and stack in the freezer, only pulling out one bag at a time. If you have to thaw, only thaw 1-2 min in the microwave or put baggie in cool water to thaw. Don't forget to roll a few tiny raw meatballs to toss to the dogs as a really special treat while you're bagging the mix up. They perfect the game of "catch" with this treat. Do not add corn or wheat to this vegetable mix or anything you think might trigger allergies. This recipe has shown that allergies can be controlled and the dogs don't have to scratch and itch all of the time.
 24. I know this may sound hard, but maybe you sould consider finding her another home where there are no other dogs and someone can give her the full amount of attention that she might need with no other dogs around. It sounds to me that she is a very timid dog. She probally is intimidate by other dogs and has a security issue. I am sorry that you are going though this, i wish there was more that i could do. Good luck and please let us know how it goes.
 25. She is a very pretty dog! Looks like you've got a winner there. :D
