They have a city named Chihuaha in Mexico. I'm not sure if they named them after the City. But what I do know is they us to breed Chihuaha's as an aphrodisiac. That is what they were used for. :( Very sad and sickning. :evil:

Nostalgia is named after my other black lab that passed away It means "[u]longing for someone or something[/u]" I had a Chihuaha named, Mei-Amor (spanish for "[u]I adore[/u]") I also had a Mix named, Comalia (come-a-lee-a) She was named after the movie "dark crystal" I had a Shih tzu named, Martinie. Of course named after the drink. I also had a male Shih Tzu named, Tokyo. Named after the country. I had a blue Shar-Pei named, Gordo (Spanish for "fat") When i was a child I had a pit bull/boxer mix named, Tiki. I'm not sure why she was named that.

I know what you mean. It's so hard to not want to keep everyone of them. including just one. I did not intend to keep Nostalgia when I was helping out with my friends litter. But I just got so attached to her. And besides, who can't resist those cute puppy eyes and that wonderful puppy breath. :D I don't know what to tell you rosebud,:-? I know if I were you. That way when she got restless I knew to take her out side. Ofcourse I had to lift her on and off the bed, but that was no problem. But when my husband moved back in with me, he does not allow her on the bed. Nostalgia and i go to bed a little early so she can sleep on the bed with me for alittle while. As soon as my husband comes marching down the hall, she jumps off and slides under the bed. Like she was never up there. She is such a clever dog. But it all depends on how you feel, and if you think your dog is ready for the bed. If she has been in the crate now for some time, she might be use to it and want to stay in the crate. I was also wondering how many different mothers she has in kennels? Any really good breeder would only be able to handle two females and a male. It cost so much to take care of the health of the mothers and all the pups, And to make sure that the pups are in full health before they find a new home. If she has more then two mothers then I would be very cautious on wither or not she is running a puppy mill. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to say she is, I would just be alittle concerned.

Oh, I am so happy for them. That pup is really what they probally need right now. Can't wait to see some pictures. :D

When i volenteered at the humane society a really cute Husky/Chihuaha mix came in. It was 8 weeks old. All black, had the pretty husky coat, face, and curled up tail. But it was very small like a chihuaha. :o It was the cutest thing i ever did see. :D Of course, the pup had a home that very day it came in. I am so glad that you have got the problem solved. :D I to have a 3 1/2 foot fence too. Nostalgia my black lab has never tried to jump the fence. But i'm affraid if she learned once that would be the end of it. She would be sitting at our front door waiting to get inside. She is such a good baby-dog.
