I can agree that I don't like door to door solicitors either...... we never use our front door, everyone that knows us comes to our back door. So , when the front doorbell rings, I peek out the window and if I don't know them, I don't answer the door !! Simple as that. :P My SIL is a Jehovahs Witness and it's wonderful for her, she never tries to jam it down our throats. I have 2 brothers however that are Southern Baptists and they have no qualms about telling you , you won't go to heaven if you're not one of them.... :-? :roll: My statement to them is I live my life in a good manner and I'm kind to other people and animals. I believe in God, and I don't have to go to church to do it. :wink: I also say this to them..... :agrue: And what makes YOUR religion the RIGHT and ONLY religion ?? How about the Muslims, Catholics, Buddists, ect..ect...ect....???? I'm sure they all think they're religion is the best too !! Sometimes (like my brothers), religious fanatics are the biggest HYPOCRITS !! :evil: Everyone should be free to believe what they want to believe without any guff from anyone else. That's what this country was founded on. :D

:x I agree with everyone else...... I think she goaded that dog into biting at the "hand". It's my understanding that your supposed to try and pull the dish away when they're eating and pet them with it.....not poke and prod them till they finally do snap !! This woman is still in business because nobody cares about these "throw-away dogs" and that is why she has the power she has. :evil:

Jeff, I owned an Akita/Rott female for 15yr. (she passed). She was the love of my life !! She was my constant shadow, loyal and true till the end. She would let kids climb all over her and tolerate alot from them. BUT, she was also very dog aggressive. That was her only flaw. I love that dog and to this day I get teary eyed thinking about her. It took 8 months for me to want to get another dog. Now we have 2 Jack Russells and a Lab/Rott. Just couldn't live without the love of a good dog !! :wink:

We go to my Mom and Dad's for Christmas Eve, my brother and his family that live in town come too . Sometimes, my brothers from N.C come up and stay. This year 1 of my brothers from N.C is here with his wife. My daughter and her 3 children will be there too !! We just have easy foods , so that it doesn't put too much strain and pressure on my parents !! The adults pick names, that way we don't spend alot. Everyone buys for the kids. We have a really good time, and I'm looking forward to it !! The kids then get to stay home Christmas day and enjoy their loot that Santa brought !! I have quite a few things on my list this year..... I'd like a Gameboy SP, Xyron 501 (scrapbooking) , Creative Memories stuff (scrapbooking), anything and everything Jack Russell !! (Specifically a nice Throw blanket) A Painted Portrait of my 3 "Grrlz", The Osbournes 2nd Season DVD Uncensored, Rod Stewart CD...... Do you think I've been [i]this[/i] good ??? :wink:

Has anyone heard anymore about the Pit Bull attack in Colorado ?? I just happened to turn on the Early Show this morning and they were interviewing some man who said he had been attacked by 3 Pit Bulls ?? The Pit Bulls in question also attacked and killed a woman at the same place, I think they said the woman was a horse trainer at this place..... I guess it was some sort of Horse Ranch ?? He said the only reason he was alive was that he yelled for his son to get his gun and the son shot at them..... they were later put down by law enforcement ?? Does anyone know any of the particulars about this ??

When she is referring to herding dogs on farms , with tails that become laden with feces..... is this in the year 2003 or is she talking about the middle ages ?? If it is indeed now, those dogs aren't being properly cared for !! While there are dogs that are still doing the work they were bred to do, I think they are really in the minority. I really think the majority of dogs are kept as pets. I have a Lab/Rott and she has a beautiful curled fan tail , similar to the Rott they were illustrating in Sweden(?). Yes, when she gets excited that tail goes a mile a minute, but she's never hurt it or anybody with it. I totally agree with Mouse, dogs should be showed and left as the good Lord intended them to be AU NATURALE !! :wink: And WTF is that REFRIGERATION all about !! :o I don't agree with that at all and I don't care who she's quoting about that practice !! They're all full of CRAP !! :x

TerriNC, It must be very scary to have a beloved pet that is acting in such a manner..... but really everyone on here is giving VERY GOOD advice. I know when you are new to the forum sometimes constructive criticism can seem hard, :agrue: but really everyone is here to help. :D I have 2 JRT's (females) and 1 Lab/Rott (female) and they all live in the house. As you can probably tell , most of us are Pro inside dogs. I believe they need to be with their pack , not locked away from them. Even doing this at night may make her wonder why she can't be with you all. Maybe try and get your husband to soften up on his Anti- inside stance. :wink: The JRT's even sleep in bed with us , UNDER the COVERS :o !! Lab/Rott - Gretchen is on a nice comfy comforter right beside the bed !! :lol: We wouldn't have it any other way !! :wink: :angel:

8) Aren't they cute ?? Someone on another Dog site (JRT) had to get a pair for her dog because he lost the sight in one eye and she didn't want him injuring the eye more when playing or running through brush because he wouldn't be able to see a stick or something. I guess they take a little getting used to for the dogs...... hehehe. :lol:
