1. :-? Some people just love confrontation and he's obviously one of them. Although if he's going to be like that he should have a better arguement and not sound so stupid. Do you have leash laws where you are ? If you do, I'd turn him in for having his dog off lead. I can't stand smart alecky people especially with smirks !! If I were you I'd have wanted to belt him myself !!! Hopefully you won't have any more trouble with Mr. Snotty Pants !! :evilbat:
2. Glad Tuckers going to be alright !!! Gretchen had a swollen eye once, probably the result of a bug bite or bee sting......Vet had me buy Benadryl and that seemed to take care of it. But poor Tucker with the whole head blown up !! I think I would've reacted the same way you did and RUN to the Vet !!
3. CC, I'm glad you brought up the wash cloth, rag idea....... I do that too !! Dont'cha hate when the sponge breaks up ?? :x
4. Welcome !! Go down to the bottom of this page and select Pictures Forum. Near the top of the Pictures Forum there is a sticky post on "How to Post Photo's " !! Good Luck !! :D
5. Maisy is a well known garbage picker.....especially the bathroom garbage. Most of the time I make sure the door is slightly shut...... I do Daycare in my home and one of the Moms was picking up her child and she says to me "What's Maisy eating ?", I look over to see what she's got and it's a "used" tampon......... :o  I was like "Ewww....I don't know" and I ran over and picked it up really quick and threw it in the kitchen garbage !!! From that day forward I always threw them in the kitchen garbage !!! Now since I've had my surgery I don't need to worry about that anymore !!! :drinking:
6. Mouse, you must be a lady !! I don't think I would've been able to restrain myself as well as you did !! Good for you !! P.S I love your new siggy !! P.S.S Loved all of your come-backs !!
7. Dampen a sponge, just so it's damp not dripping wet...... then wipe across dog hair/cat hair in one direction until you've got it in one pile and vacuum. I too use the sticky tape rolling wand thingie.......name escapes me too !! My Jacks hairs usually brush off pretty easily but my cat......his hair is evil :evilbat: !! It sticks and the damp sponge works fantastic !!
8. Everyone is right, there technically is no such thing as a WHITE Lab, just a very light Yellow. Like Carol wrote in her post there are varying shades to each color, but the colors are the 3 basic colors; Yellow,Black,Chocolate. Sounds to me like someone trying to cash in on a supposedly "rare" puppy....... :-? I myself have a Black Lab/Rott, Gretchen 2 1/2yr. (all black) she has never been an eating machine.......I've practically had to coax her to eat every day of her life.  ( Labs are known to get obese very easily if their food isn't kept in check and they don't get exercised.) Gretchen's 95 solid pounds and is a gorgeous girl !! But I will say Carol you're so right about the not matureing till after 2 !! Sometimes I'd say she's still very puppy like !!
9. I can definitely see the Anatolian in him !! I don't know why nobody would want him he's gorgeous !! :D
10.
We at Dogfancy.com have also noticed several misleading statements on her site. While her intentions are good, to inform buyers about a dog before they make the mistake of purchasing a dog who doesn't meet their lifestyle, she does have a lot of misleading information. Us who know our own breed very well can teach her and inform her of the *correct* information.http://www.dogfancy.com/anforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37949&whichpage=1
I tried doing just that....I E-mailed her at least 3X with the "correct" information and offered her any help with the JRT's that she needed.....the only thing she ended up changing was the coat type...... :-?
11. R.I.P little Street dog......now your on the bridge with food and drink aplenty.......healthy and happy again ! Izzy, how sad for you to be put in the position, but God bless you for caring  .....I'm sure many more people walked or drove right past her...... :(
12.

It's been an interesting week. A few days before the coyote, we got a white duck who'd been shot (we named it Geico),
HEY! The Gecko is Geico! The duck is Aflac!!!!! (Yes I watch too much TV!.... )
You beat me to it Divine !! I thought exactly the same thing...... I guess we all watch too much T.V !!!
13. :( red X's here too.......
14. I am owned by 3 dogs: 2 Jack Russell Terriers; Sassafrass Louise (3yr. in July)my little white "Snow Queen" Maisy Mae 2yr. She is my constant shadow......sticks to me like glue.... 1 Lab/Rott; Gretchen Josephine 2 1/2yr., the sweetest thing on 4 legs  ....... beautiful black coat, sometimes I call her my RottenLab, Labweiler, or Rottrador !! She's no Retriever believe me.....she'll go get it, reluctantly and not bring it back. She also hates water....... And we are all slaves to 1 cat: A big fat Orange Tiger named Kato Kat 2yr. :evilbat:
15. :bday: Happy Birthday Zebra !!! :bday: Hope you gets lots of toys and treats !! :D My son is 12 today and my Dad is 72 !! :bday: :new-bday: :new-bday: :new-bday:
16. I think I'll look into getting one of those......I have one of the big upright Bissell steam-cleaning machines and it's not practical for small spots.
17. All of my dogs are licensed, it's town law  .....It's $12.50 for altered and $25 for non-altered. They don't require that Cat's be licensed here, but I wish they would !! Then people might pay to have them fixed and we wouldn't have the huge population of cats in shelters here. :(
18. I'm so glad your story had a happy ending....... at first I thought the worst :( !! Phewwww !! I was so relieved at the end !! :D Welcome home India !!
19.
I still crack up about this one... My cat used to be 18 lbs. fat, with a thyroid condition that is now controlled. I had him in his crate once at the vet, and someone asked me (cuz his head was facing away from this person) if that was one of those "pot-bellied pigs..."
Court, You saw my post with the JRT sign and my cat Kato ? He weighs 19lb. at 2yr. old. He weighs as much as Maisy !! :o He has a rock hard body like a bulldog. I have an appt. at the Vet for him, just to make sure there isn't anything wrong with him. (He's neutered and he only gets dry cat food)
20. Yeah Court, I hear ya !! My 2 Jacks are the noisiest things going !! Sassy absolutely hates the sound of the mail truck and gets on the back of the couch and barks her fool head off at him while she looks out the window !! The mailman just laughs......... The surprise for any burglar that thought there were only Jacks in the house would be to encounter Gretchen (Lab/Rott)....because she doesn't bark !! The visual is just too funny !!
21. :( I can't see them either....... Looking forward to seeing a fellow sister in her "grungy" P.J's !! I hate getting dressed !!
22.
you could always make one yourself, all you need is a leather collar and spikes. you can get the spikes at bike shops and some local music shops and stuff.
That took me back some 18yr. ago.......my youngest brother was in high school and for shop class had to make a project, yep, you guessed it !! He made my dog Nakita (Akita/Rott) a gorgeous thick black leather collar with spikes !!! She didn't wear it all the time, just for show and when we went places !! She was definitely a leather and spikes kind of girl !! I still laugh when I took her to a Groomer and she came back with a bow on !!! Poor Kita......she looked so silly !!
23. :( I'm so sorry Aroura....... I don't know what to say. Have you ruled out any medical cause for her agression ? How old is Lily ? She is a beautiful girl, and I know this must be very painful. It's very hard to make this type of decision, but only you can know what is best. I wish you peace........
24. Over a number of years we got robbed a couple of times...... After we got Nakita (Akita/Rott) we were never robbed again. Nakita is gone now to Rainbow Bridge, but she had a wonderful life of 15yr. This is the sign on our back porch window, it's more comical than anything...... Of course that's quite deceiving....because we also have a 95lb. Lab/Rott in the house as well !! So come on in boys !! :P
