I've been asked by many people if Sassy and Maisy are the same breed..... :o I reply "Yes, they're both Jack Russell Terriers, why do you ask ?" They say " Because they're different colors" :tard: I wish we had an emoticon that smacked his head and fainted !!! Because that would be me !!! :roll: :lol:

I E-mailed her and tryed to educate her and try to give her more information on the JRT's. And the only thing she changed was the Coat Type. :evil: She also asked what other breeds I felt she wrote inaccuracy's on and I told her to come back and read the post, that other people had replyed. The waya lot of these dogs are portrayed on this site it'll be a wonder if anyone wants these breeds !!! :roll:

I wrote to my Assemblyman ASAP !!!!! :wink: Anyone in New York State should reach out to their appropriate Legislator as per the list on the site, regarding bill A10169 to OPPOSE the passing of this bill !! Reach out to your local newspapers through letters to the editors to further inform people (non-internet community) that share our love of dogs to the idiocy, and the neo-nazism of the proposal of A10169. People especially low income, and the elderly are not going to be able to afford these extraneous expenses. Dogs will be abandoned or turned into shelters that are already bursting at the seams with unwanted pets. And no breed should be banned. :evil:

:lol: :lol: :lol: Neat toy, I've seen them in the Pet stores. I got my Lab/Rott Gretchen something called a "Hurl-A-Squirrel" It's a heavy rope in a circle with a stuffed squirrel image in the center. I just took pics, but unfortunately I have 35mm and have to wait for developing...... :(

I too saw that show a while back and I thought it was a Cane Corso. I agree with Courtnek, they probably just said Mastiff, for people watching that didn't have much "Dog" knowledge. :wink:

Besides my 3 "Grrlz" (dogs), I have an Orange Tiger cat named Kato Kat. In my life I've had: Dogs- LabX- Duke, GSHX- Hildegarde, Boston Terriers- Boots, Skeeter,Maddy, Akita/Rott-Nakita, Borzoi's- Sersa and Meisha Cats- 3 DSH, Slithers, Priscilla, Victor D'Fur Fish- Goldfish, Katie and Brett Parakeets- Sampson, Delilah, and Garth Hermit Crabs Hamster- Tom All are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge....... :angel:

:o I've always understood a "Hoarder" to be someone who takes in a lot of animals that they can't afford to keep properly. I've always imagined them in houses of filth and the animals in poor condition, because the person can't afford to feed them or Vet them properly. :wink: I really think your Vet was out of line when he called you that....... doesn't he like your business ? You obviously take excellent care of your pets !! :wink:

I would have her checked for a Urinary Tract Infection, this is sure tell tale sign of it. The Vet will require you to bring in a sample of her urine to test. If she does have it, she'll have to take antibiotics. My Lab/Rott Gretchen had this when I got her at 8wk. and she had a terrible infection, so bad it took 3 rounds of antibiotics and early spaying to cure it. She's 2yr. old and has never had it since. :wink:

:cry: I was so saddened by your news.......I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes as I read. I'm so very sorry for your loss and I know it's going to hurt for a long time. I still get tears when I think of my Nakita who passed in Jan./01 after 15 years together. My only consulation is hoping I see her again on Rainbow Bridge. I feel so bad for Boomer too, he's going to be totally lost for awhile, I hope he adjusts. :( R.I.P Holly...... :angel:

My favorite breed is the Jack Russell Terrier !! :D I have 2 Sassy and Maisy I also have a Lab/Rott cross Gretchen I would also like to have someday- Great Dane, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and possibly a Basenji. I will always have a JRT in my life. :angel: Dogs I have had in my past include; Boston Terriers (growing up) German ShepherdX Hildegarde Akita/Rott cross Nakita Borzoi's Sersa, Meisha (Hubby had when we met) All of these wonderful pets have passed on to Rainbow Bridge, and I will hopefully see them again someday !!

I will agree that 2nd hand smoking is bad for people and animals, and it's a very nasty habit. :evil: My Mom smoked since she was 19yr. old, she's 71 now and still smokes even though she has emphysema and 2yr. ago had 1/2 a lung removed :o ! She is a more considerate smoker however, than when I was a kid. Since learning of the 2nd hand smoke effects, she does not smoke when any of us are around and will not smoke around my kids. :wink: I would definitely compare cigarettes to an addiction to drugs....they are very hard for some people to kick. My Mom has tried several methods to quit and she fails every time. :(
