I think each dogs personality is different and depends on their relationship with the dog that died. I know my Sassy loves playing with her sisters, but I have a feeling she'd love to be an only child.....errrr..I mean dog !! :oops: :lol:

I guess I'm kind of lucky as I work out of my house so I'm here 24/7......(that has it's pro's and con's) and when I do have to go somewhere my hubby is usually home or visa versa..... When we do go out together on those monumental occasions such as Birthdays, or Anniversaries...... :lol: :lol: the Grrlz get free run of the house. They are never left for over 5hr. And they get pottied before we leave, haven't had an accident yet.....(knock on wood) :wink: I don't have a fenced in yard, but I would never leave a dog out in case of possible escape, dognapping, or just plain rotten neighborhood kids that would tease/torment. :evil:

Whether or not this dog was part "wolf" has no bearing on this story what-so-ever....... The whole point here is irresponsible pet owners, once again !!!!!!! :-? This dog had been previously injured and nowhere in the story did it say the dog had been seen by a Vet or otherwise....... What it did spell out in HUGE print is that the boy was tugging on the dog's injured leg...........and then the boy petted him on a separate occasion after and the dog bit him. Obviously this dog was never seen by a Vet, that is total neglect and cruelty by the owners (grandparents) and total neglect on the Parents/Grandparents part knowing this dog was injured and in possible pain and let this kid interact with the dog not once but twice !!!!! :roll: What is wrong with PEOPLE ???????? I feel like I'm reading about a bunch of brainless morons.............and the press just reinforces their idiocy !!!!! The dog shouldn't have been put to sleep it should've received the medical care that it needed and the owners PTS !!! :evilbat:

:o I am amazed that little stinker is getting over a baby gate !! :lol: That is too funny....... I have 2 Jacks that have never tried to jump over the baby gate.....even to this day if I need to keep them out of an area I use the gate and they respect the boundary.:wink: I think the nickname Spidey fits him well !!! :D

I'd say she's acting normal......especially for such a wee dog. When I had my Jacks spayed they came home that night.....all they wanted to do was cuddle and sleep. :wink: Vet told me to keep them calm for a week........ :o :roll: About the 2nd day they were moving a little slow but almost normal. I think I was more worried about them than I needed to be :oops:

Naomi, Do they sell Dawn dish liquid where you live ?? I don't know if it works or not but I read somewhere that if you add a squirt of that while bathing your dog it gets rid of fleas.......... 2nd hand info, but a cheap enough thing to try !!! :wink:

WOW !!! That A C & C sounds like a NIGHTMARE !!!!! :o Here each county or district has their own Animal Control. We also have Pet Rescue places like PAW or SPEAK that take in animals too and adopt them out for a fee......We have one place here(Animal Care Council) that only takes in cats and they have close to 400 cats !!!!! These places run on a shoe-string budget and through people/businesses donating $ and supplies. It really is sad that more people don't neuter/spay their animals....... :( That A C & C sounds criminal !! :evilbat:

Does this happen in a certain season of the year ?? My JRT Sassy (white) loses pigment in her nose in the winter months and I believe they call that "snow nose" ??? The pigment comes back after the cold/winter are over. :wink: Just clutching at straws here.......... :lol:

My grrlz got two of those for Xmas from a friend.........hmmmmm...... :oops: They love'em and they still have them and haven't managed to destroy them yet !!! :wink:
