1. very cute !!!!
2. Well this is hard cause he's your BIL, but if you really want to see something done....I would call the Town Clerk or whoever you register dogs to and turn him in. Maybe you could do this anonymously......or if you have a Dog Warden or Officer. I'm not sure what your laws are on dogs having shots but here it's at least mandatory for Rabies. And most Vets won't treat dogs unless they are up-to-date on ALL shots. Mine always ask, because if they aren't they give them right then and there !!! And you have to pay. I take mine to the 1/2 price clinic a local Vet puts on and then I let my Vet copy the paperwork for his records.
3. :o wow, that 2nd one was kind of ............ :drinking:
4. :D Sock it to 'em Amber !!!!!! Way to go girl that was very well written !!!
5. You can be sure that they got BOMBED with response !!! LOL I'm on a Jack Russell Forum and someone posted the same story and petition !!!!
6. Oh, Gee and I thought that meant you were manning the PB Kissing booth.......damn ! :-? :evilbat:
7. I live in Binghamton and I haven't heard of any such restriction.....they were thinking of banning or upping insurance rates for people with "aggressive" dogs....but nothing ever became of it. I think it totally depends on who your land lord is.......... You can buy Rottweilers freely here with no restriction.
8. The site is crap.....and the music drove me to want to slit my throat !!!
9. :o I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone !!!! A miniature Rottweiler ?????
10. Loved it !!! I copied it with your name and will send it to all !! Great poem !!!
11. I'd say it was a 2 person job.......have someone hold while the other does the drops !!! Poor Tigger !!! Her eyes look so ouchy !! Hope she's on the mend soon !!
12. I hear you Jen, I've been paw wiping for years !!! When I first started doing it over 18yr. ago people thought I was nuts !!! I have an enclosed back porch and when the dogs come in....before they're allowed entrance to the house they get their paws cleaned/dried off. My old gal Nakita was so used to it she would lift her paws for wiping  !! My 3 grrlz now, know the drill (so to speak) and won't try and go in the house till they've had their paws wiped. Gretchen is so cute cause even if I have the kitchen door open.....she won't go in till I've wiped her feet !! I keep a nice big wicker basket out there filled with clean old towels, makes it very convenient and cuts down on dirty carpets(Butter Cream Frost) and furniture, which saves on my cleaning !! (I'm all for that !!)
13. :o I don't suppose you have any horses around ??? I had a cat (long ago....) that couldn't meow because she was stepped/kicked by a horse. The barn owner gave her to me to keep her safe. She was a great little cat....she also didn't grow, she stayed little.
14. :( Sounds terrible.....poor little guy  I know you must be a nervous wreck too !! {{{HUGS}}} I hope this Vet doesn't charge you more for his mistake........ And I hope the poor little guy gets to come home soon and he recovers fully !!
15. :( Poor guy......hope he recovers quickly so he can get back to his old self and not be bored.......
16. My grandson goes to school with a girl named Rainbow........ :P And all the celebrity's now are naming their kids after foods...... When my daughter went to school there was a girl named Toshiba, and I asked if she had a brother named Mitsubishi !!! What are people thinking when they do this to their kids ??? :o
17. :o DP, I had to laugh........Gretchen is the same way. When I take the grrlz out we go through the kitchen with a linoleum floor, I have to open the kitchen door all the way for her to come through (she's so skittish going across the kitchen floor !!) and she looks sort of like she's ice skating !!! She's a tall Lab/Rott and she doesn't like to be up high either.......  Thanks for the chuckle !!
18. :D TRULY WONDERFUL !!!
19.

Well I have a Lab/Rott and I've got to say she's the nicest, most passive, loving, dog. She is a little hyper right now when she meets people, that tail and hynie wag and wiggle a million miles a minute !!! But she's only 2 1/2yr. so at least she's glad to see everyone.......... She's the sweetest thing on 4 legs.......
Yeah, well I'm totally against breeding mixes intentionally, they sure can be sweet and healthy dogs compared to many "purebreds".
OH, be sure this wasn't an "on purpose" breeding..........the woman I got her from has 2 Rotties and supposedly she was bred only by the male. Well obviously, a Lab got to her somehow, cause everyone of the 11 pups were PURE BLACK !!!!! I'm against mixed breeding too on purpose........
20. You have got to be kidding me.............. You mean to tell me the law makers in Brazil have nothing else better on the docket than making laws about pet names ???? WOW.......... My dogs/cats have always had people names, first and middle.
21. Isn't that nice ? :D My Schwans man does the same thing....he always carries treats in his pockets !! The grrlz used to bark at him and now when they see his truck pull up they're so excited to see him !!
22. Well I have a Lab/Rott and I've got to say she's the nicest, most passive, loving, dog. 23.

From the info I read they are Terriers. I personally have 2 JRT's and they are NOT hyper. That's one big fallacy that stereo-types all JRT's.GRRR  Mine are also living in the same house with a cat and they groom each other.......JRT's also come in Rough,Broken, and Smooth with 2 different hair lengths. And they certainly are great companions and snuggle at every opportunity !! And JR's are very good at Agility, from what I have observed. And JRT's are AWESOME,AWESOME,AWESOME dogs too !!!
debbie, they are not terriers. :) and don't get me wrong, i love JRTs too and own a JRT/mutt myself, but it's not the same thing at all. not even close. JRT's, and almost all other terriers, are bred to have a high prey drive and are working dogs with a precise purpose - hunting. kromfis were bred as a companion and house dog without this kind of prey drive and the typical terrier tenaciousness. i'm not saying that JRT's don't make good companions, or never get along with other small animals, or aren't good at agility. but as a JRT owner, you will agree with me that a JRT isn't a dog for everyone and that they have very specific needs which have to be met, or you will end up with a nightmare of a dog on your hands. i see the results of all those misconceptions about JRT's ending up in shelters in my area just because people think they are cute little lap dogs that are content to sit at home one the couch all day. typically these dogs are under 2 years old when people dump them at the shelters because they can't/don't want to deal with them. it's very sad. the kromfi isn't a working breed that requires lots of mental stimulation and exercise like for example a JRT or a border collie. even someone who has never owned a dog before and doesn't lead a very active life isn't going to feel overwhelmed. the bottom line is, don't compare a breed to another just because they look similar. it just doesn't make sense. i'm familiar with the kromfi since i lived in germany until 1999, i'm not just talking theory here.
That's great !! I do agree that JRT's aren't for everyone.......and because of shows like Frasier, Wishbone, and the movie "My Dog Skip" they were over-bred, bought and ended up in pounds........you are dead right there. :-? I guess I'm a Jack person, and am a little Lioness- like about my Grrlz and I won't ever be without one !!! Cheers !!
24.
TDG, that is wonderful to have the terrier look without the terrier prey drive :D Debbie, typically JRT's have a high prey drive and were used for hunting. Of course most show types are watered down and not bred with the drive of their hunter counter parts. Any dog with a high prey drive can live with a cat or small pet, just because they have a high prey drive doesnt mean they are going to go around trying to kill all small animals :D BUT, and a big BUT here :D a dog with a high prey drive (bred to have the full series of prey sequences) can be more unrealiable around moving prey objects out side of their home. For instance most of my dogs with high prey drives have been wonderful and loving with my cats and rabbits and even out side the home they were wonderful with confident cats and other small animals. But, have the small creature run away, it automatically triggered predatory drift and led to the chase.
I certainly won't argue that !!  Mine aren't show types, Sassy's parents were working terriers and Maisy's parents were raised on a horse breeding farm, Jacks are very big with the horsey set.
25. I don't think there's one breed of dog that can say there was never an aggressive one in the breed.....ever. I think all the over-breeding is what's causing the problems today. It all comes down to people and the almighty $$$$$. :-?
