Sassy and Maisy sleep under the covers with me and hubby. Hubby doesn't want them on his side of the bed because he says he doesn't like to feel fur touch him when he sleeps :roll: So , Sassy sleeps in the crook of my knees and Maisy sleeps up by my chest with her face in my neck. I think it's the most wonderful thing ever !! :angel: Gretchen chooses to sleep on the floor , she's too big for the bed and she gets too warm. But she has a nice big comforter on the floor right next to my bedside. :wink: We have a queen sized bed but I'd like a King !! :D My girlzz get groomed weekly, they get lots of kissies and hugs, treats, they are never crated and have the run of our 3 story home. In my eyes they are perfect. :wink:

Marion, I certainly can empathize with you..... I was the same way. I had my beautiful dog Nakita for 15yr. (Akita/Rott), when she got on in her old age , for some reason I became intolerant and always complained about dog hair, etc..... When she died I became a basket case. Nakita was a loyal , faithful, protective friend to me for 15yr. , she was my constant shadow. And this is how I repaid her in her old age. This is very upsetting to me even now..... *tears* :cry: I have now become a much more tolerant person and a total Dog lover. The 3 girrllzz I have now are my world , and I think Nakita has changed me and made me a better person. I just hope when we meet again, she can forgive me. :cry:

And it's unfair to stereotype them all into the same little mold, Sassy is so refined and lowkey, you'd almost swear she wasn't a Jack !! :lol: Maisy on the other hand is Dennis the Menace in Fur !! :o But ya know what that's part of her charm !! And she cracks me up all the time !! I just can't stay mad at her !! :wink: Every dog has its Pros and Cons, but if you've done your homework, you know how to deal with the little quirks that each one has :angel: ...... I didn't even know he had been on that site till one of his buddy's mom's called and told me !! I'd love it if I had the room !!! :o Misstiblu, Hi would love to see pic's of your babies !! My Jacks are Parson Jacks(long-legged) ,smooth coats, Sassafrass Louise is going to be 2yr. on July 29. She is basically all white except one tan ear. Maisy Mae just turned 1yr. on April 15. She is brown and white with a tiny bit of black blended in here and there. She also has alot of ticking which gives her the appearance of having a giraffe coat !! My hubby calls her Freckles !! Looking forward to seeing everyones babies ! Jack Russell's no matter short legged or long are wonderful !! They are curious, energetic, intelligent, loyal, snuggly and loving , plus a whole lot more I couldn't add. They're definitely not for the first time dog owner, unless you've done your homework and think you can take on this fiesty "big" dog in a little dog's body !! :lol: I agree that all the commercials and shows/movies depicting them in a way that people think they are just so malleable. They get them home and find they can't deal with them and off to the pound they go..... :( I have 2 Jack Russell's, Sassy is the product of a short leg and a long leg, she appears to be long legged but she is a little shorter than Maisy who is the product of 2 long legs. :lol: They also say Jacks are cat killers and not good with children...... :agrue: but I beg to differ, I have a cat and I do Daycare, and my dogs love the kids and the cat !! Maisy and the cat (Kato) even groom each other !! :o When the little kiddies that I watch snuggle up for naps, snuggling right up beside them are the Jacks !! :angel: I'll tell ya , I love a lot of breeds of dogs, but I'll never be without a Jack Russell Terrier !! :angel:

We didn't have computers when I was a teen, but I got grounded from plenty of concerts !! I still remember being grounded from going to Rod Stewart !! :evil: I was so mad !! :evilbat: I can't even remember what I did now...... :o We did just ground our son (10yr. old) off the computer , because we found out he and one of his little buddies went to www. naked ladys . com !! :oops: :o :roflt: :roflt: :roflt: Guess my hubby will have to install those Parental locks !! :lol:

My brother lives in Monroe !! :o I think Mary's right, the old lady is OLD ! She needs to be placed in an assisted living placement for the elderly. She probably has a few screws loose !! :roll: That was just awful, 14 dogs to a 4 dog cage !! :x It really makes you wonder...... :evil:

I used to take Gretchen to a nearby groomer and was pleased with her work. Gretchen is a Rott/Lab so she's pretty much a wash and go kind of girl !! Someone then told me about a Technical School in the area where High School Sr. are taught jobs such as Cosmotology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Daycare, and Animal Science (grooming). People can bring their pets in for wash,dry,brush,ears,and nails. They are supervised by Professionals. Gretchen weighs in at 90lb. and they only charge me $8 !! :D These kids are getting experience and I'm getting a great job for a really reasonable price !! I was paying my Groomer $29, for the same thing. Now instead of every 3 mos. , I can afford to take her every month , for her Beauty Spa treatment !! :wink:

You know Guest I don't want to insult you either but #1 what does religion have to do with a Dog site ??? :agrue: #2- What makes you think that your beliefs are any better or truer than say a Buddist or a Catholic or a Jehovah's Witness, Islamic , Jewish , etc... My brother is a Southern Baptist and he's always spouting that crap , telling the rest of our family that unless we give our lives to Jesus we won't get into heaven !! :roll: :roll: :roll: My beliefs are, as long as you live a good life , and are good to other people and all living creatures you will have a spot in heaven. :angel: God loves everyone and every living creature, he's [b][color=darkred]not [/color][/b]selective. :wink:
