1. That's great to hear. What a relief.
2. I posted that as a comment not so much a question and it was in general not specifically aimed at you. With Cymmie's cute face in the post above it was more of a "what's not to like". I have no problem with the reason that you don't like Bulldogs or the fact that you don't like them. Hell there are few breeds that I don't like mainly, because I find them unattractive. However I don't find any need to say it here just for the sake of it by doing so I would probably hurt someones feelings, so what have I got to gain by doing that? (again a comment - don't expect an answer). Again nothing wrong with having an opinion, yes even a conflicting one but sometimes it doesn't hurt to use some tact.
3. Sorry my bad... since I don't crate I tend to forget that others do. Yes, that is way too long in a crate. Since you are taking the other two, I think leaving him home alone (uncrated) and having the neighbour pop in to check on him is probably your best option.
4.
I'll say it again, who cares if someone states they do not like your breed of dog!!!!!!! And isn't this a discussion forum where all opinions are allowed?
Of course all opinions are allowed but I think there is a time and place for everything and there is a thing called manners that should still be considered. If three friends were together and two of them started talking about one of the people's dog and how cute it was etc.. I would consider it very rude if the third person chimed in to say "oh I don't like that breed of dog". That may be the case and there is nothing wrong with that but in that instance there was no need to say anything. I consider the scenario we have here the same. All everyone was doing was getting a bit of enjoyment out of ooohhhing and ahhhhing over what we consider cute puppies. If you don't think they are cute, skip over the thread. There is no need to bring everyone else down. Just because this is the internet there is no reason to say things that would be considered bad form in real life. Now if the thread was about the breed standard of bulldogs and how the breed has evolved for good or bad then by all means state you opinion regardless of what is is.
5. I think Kendalyn's solution sounds fine. I'm probably going to get frowned upon for saying this but I don't think that 10-12 hours is too long to leave the dogs at all. Ours are pretty much at home on their own for that length of time every day while we are at work.
6. Interesting article.
If a bad driver crashes his truck, we don't try to ban Fords -- we punish the idiot behind the wheel. And so it should be with dogs driven to bite by terrible owners.
I really like this analagy and have used something similar myself in the past. To me it's just so simple and I really have a hard time understanding why some people just don't get it. Car accidents are probably the number one cause of unnatural deaths, however cars aren't banned. We have laws in place that force people to drive in a responsible manner. Dog ownership should be no different.
7. I think they are adorable. How can you not love those wrinkly faces.
8. I remember reading somewhere the other day that a female who is spayed before her first heat will have less pronounced nipples.
9. What a cute little muffin :D
10. Marion, I'm sure Cleo will be sooooo happy with you, Bri and the girls.
11. Good luck.
12.
I still say Pit Bulls should be banned.! I have had dogs all my life including German Shepherds. Great Danes and many others and they were all loveable to me and my family. But let a stranger approach and they would growl, it is bred into them to protect and I think that Pit Bulls have been bred to be fighting dogs. All dogs worth their salt will attack if the owner or family member are threatened by strangers. I love dogs and Pit Bulls can't help how they are trained but they should not live near families, especially with children around. They are dangerous.
It's probably not the right thing to do to copy someones post from another forum and have a go about them, but I couldn't help myself with this one. This person says pit bulls should be banned but then goes on to say that they have had dogs that growl at strangers - and they seem to see nothing wrong with that. I bet most of the pittie owners here could attest that their dogs don't growl just because a stranger approaches. WHAT A MORON!!
13. Had a bit of a read and my god there are some stupid closed minded people out there. Sash - I really feel for you. I think if the APBT was my breed of choice then I would feel the same as you.
14. That was cool DAL - and of course I noticed the Mallie in there
15. Sending lots of positive thoughts. I'm not sure what type of work you do but if it's an office job would your boss let you bring her crate in and you could have her stay in it under your desk all day. I'm not sure how feasible it is as I don't think it would fly at my work but it's worth a shot. You can only ask.
16. Happy Birthday Jesse :bday: :bday: :bday: :bday:
17. Congratulations :D
18. Good for you HF. She is gorgeous.

Greenies

Ahh I see we are getting ripped off for pet related products in Oz once again. I think $13.00 for a bag of 14 is reasonable but $8.00 each is a joke. :-?
20. DP, I would jump at that sort of holiday it sounds great to me. I have never canoed before but I have been kayaking and I had a great time doing that. I was even crazy enough to enter a 14km race with hardly any experience and I thought my arms were going to fall off by the end  I have also been camping on the beach with no facilities so the toilet thing doesn't put me off, so count me in..... just need to get to the other side of the world
21. I am so sorry HF. I am positive that for time Rocco was with you his life improved immensely. RIP gorgeous boy

Greenies

Mine seem to love greenies but I very rarely buy them as they are soooo expensive. The large ones cost $8.00 each here. :o How much are they in the US?
23. I am sooooo glad you have found her but am so sorry about her injuries. Thank god she is back with you for you to take care of her. Give her a cuddle from me.
24. Wow that looks just gorgeous - I am sooo jealous. I say take Zaphod. You never know he may totally surprise you and be on his best behaviour. If Kaviak is generally good on trips like that Zaphod may follow his lead and do as he does.
25. On reading the post title the first thing that popped into my head was "hell Yeah".... but for some reason the title made me think of a new quy you were in love with and that he had a dog and that made 3........... anyhoo..... that big boy is just gorgeous and you know best as to whether he will fit in with the family or not.
