1. Great job. I actually think making progress on the seemingly simple things like that are the most impressive.
2. My dogs get fed BARF so like Kiwi I'm not sure that I would consider it better - to me it seems gross. I even pretty much close my eyes as I'm cutting up their liver, kidney or hearts etc on offal nights as it really disgusts me  However, I know I put way much more thought into their food than I do mine and I know they eat a lot healthier. I won't let them have anything that I consider "junk food". I also make sure they get a lot of variety, so they don't eat the same meal day in day out.
3. OK, the details on the sheet she gave me are as follows: Becky & Don Walters Eagle Pack - NSW Agents PO Box 751, Kings Langley NSW 2147 PH: 0500 532454 Email: eaglepacknsw@ozemail.com.au I have a price list here too, but it lists all of their products and as I've never actually used it myself I'm not 100% sure which is which. I'll give you some examples though: Eagle Puppy Pack: 7.5kg $48.05 15kg $86.90 Eagle Natural pack: 7.5kg $48.91 15kg $84.73 Eagle Power Pack: 7.5kg $ 47.75 15kg $86.42 (this one was highlighted so I am assuming the one my breeder uses) Eagle Holistic Select Formula: 7.5kg $83.53 15kg $104.64 That price list is dated 2002 so has probably changed since then, but it should give you a bit of an idea.
4. Good work DAL. You did a great thing - most people would just turn a blind eye and not want to get involved. I don't think that these kind of creeps should just not be allowed to own Pits - they shouldn't be allowed to have ANY type of dog - or even any type of animal.
5. Hi Aroura, Where are you planning on getting Eagle Pack from? When you say importing - are you going to import it yourself or just order it from someone who does? My breeder feeds it and gave me all the details of the person she orders it from. If you want I can find them for you so you can compare prices with where you were planning on getting it from.
6. DL, I'll take some more pictures and post them soon - I promise. You never know, I may offend Rabid-Poodle by doing that though. He/she may consider my two fuz-butts too ugly. Or he/she may thnk they are wolves and way too mean. Though I will have to be VERY clear on who is who, because you know they are the same breed and that makes them look alike so by posting pictures of both I may confuse everyone and have them thinking they are seeing double or been :drinking: :drinking: too much. We all have to be real careful of that from now on or we will be getting dogs mixed up all over the place. Hell I'm surprised that most lab owners even manage to take the right dog home if they have been to the park etc.. Ok.... I think I have finished taking the piss now
7.
Well if you LOOOOVE Primmy so much why don't you two start your own board? You could call it COMPLETELY CLUELESS or IGNORANT IDIOTS, something to that effect. Being stupid is NOT a crime so you are free to go.
DL, you really do crack me up
8.    oh dear......... how some people manage to function in society is beyond me. Guest.... go crawl back under your rock and STAY there. You are not welcome here.
9. You guys crack me up
10. I just got back from the States and that movie was showing in the plane and the picture posted above was what was shown in the movie guide. Of course that made me want to watch it but I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open and I missed it :( He really looks like such a cutie (the dog - not Ray Romano - can't stand him)
11. If I could see your features I would probably very well describe you as ugly. Get a life. :x
12. :o What a crap day! I am so glad it turned out that India was safe and sound.
13. K, I see where you are comming from.
14. Sweetie, I am so sorry I can just imagine how upset you are. I know you have mentioned that Lilly is dog aggressive before but I think this is the first I have heard of her being aggressive towards people or kids. Has this always been the case or is it just a recent thing? I can't help you with the aggression towards people but Indy is also quite dog aggressive. Walking him used to be a nightmare because like Lilly he would lunge at other dogs like he wanted to kill them. I've really been working with him on it and he is now so much better. I don't think I will ever let him off leash with other dogs just in case but he can now be around them ok on leash. It would take me ages to type everthing I have done to get him over this so if you want to talk to me about it send me a PM and I'll give you my phone number and we can chat about it if you want.
15. Westrox wrote
I would like to know why we were never told before Deja was not solely his dog? That is a large thing and not something that I would keep to myself if it was me.
Going back and reading the whole thread again it seems that Westrox was really the only person harping on Deja’s co-ownership. It really stuck in my head so I guess I mistakenly thought that others were making a big deal out of it too. Hmmm wrote
Also, on the note of Deja... Just so everyone knows, Im not trying to hide anything but I have co-ownerships with several dogs. Most of them are in friends homes or on other peoples yards. All but 3 on my yard are fully owned by me.
I am assuming Hmmm was thinking along the same lines as me. If co-owning your dog and not announcing it to the forum every time you post about your dog means you are a liar and trying to hide something then there a few of us who would be considered guilty. K wrote
this maybe a bit rude and you do not have to answer but will Indy be required to stud under your co ownership contract?
No matey, not rude at all. :D It is however impossible for Indy to be used as a stud dog. His breeder can give it a try but he’ll be shooting blanks as he has been given the snip. Just in case anyone thinks I’m fibbing there are no visible manparts or neuticles for Indy. (sorry, that was tounge in cheek but I couldn't resist) We did buy Indy as a show dog as I was thinking about showing (not breeding) but I decided it was too much for me to take on at that time so he was neutered when he was 7 months old.
16. I've been reading along with this thread but have been so busy at work that I haven't had time to read everything and form an opinion. There is one thing that bothers me a little. Why is it such a big deal to some people here that Deja is co-owned? Indy is co-owned between myself, my b/f and Indy's breeder. I may or may not have mentioned that here, I can't really remember but I probably haven't because to me it doesn't really seem relevant (unless of course the topic of discussion is co-ownership.) Why should RnP, myself or any other person who has a co-owned dog need to spell that out in every post. As far as I'm concerned Indy lives with my b/f and I, we are his care givers - he is our dog. I'm sure RnP feels the same.
17. That is FANTASTIC news!!!! When does he arrive?
18. I am assuming you meant council registration so I said yes. Here it is the law for all companion animals to be registered.
19. Yup, I have a dog that follows me into the toilet or lies outside and whines if I shut the door on him. He also lies in the bathroom while I have my shower. The only problem I have with that is when he lies in front of the shower door and won't get up.
20. Courtnek, I really don't know if she likes to swim. This is the first time we have taken her over there since we got her. I don't think she had much time to be scared as soon as I heard the splash (yes she fell in the deep end) I was up and out of my chair and reefing her out by the collar as quick as anything. I am glad she is a lot lighter than Indy because there is no way I would have been able to get him out like that.
21. Your two really do seem to make a great team
22. We were taking Kira to the vet this afternoon, decided to take both dogs and pop in to Michaels parents place to say hello before we went to the vet. We were sitting outside and two minutes before we had to leave Kira fell in the pool   I was quite embarrassed turning up at the vets office with one very wet dog
23. I'll be thinking of you both on Monday, though I'm positive he will be fine. I know it's hard but try not to stress too much.

Mix

Just to reiterate what everyone else has said - I am not against cross breeds themselves but I don't agree with people who intentionally breed cross breeds.
It also seems that the people here think that if you breed mix dogs your A. back yoard breeder B. a puppy mill or C. only in it for the money, and I am sorry but I cant agree with that,
Ok then, can you give me an example of a person and their situation who breeds cross breeds that doesn't fall into one of the three categories you mentioned above?
25. Cool
