1. I agree with the others, wouldn't hurt to make a phone call
2. Way to go Cassie :laola: :laola:
3. primrose wrote.
Actually, if one poster suggests that another poster is intentionally lying and making up a story without any evidence that that poster IS intentionally lying and making up a story, that probably isn't technically permitted on this board. I think that that falls into the category of "First and foremost there will be NO personal attacks tolerated" don't you?
ahem... cough... cough.... what about people who blatently lie and say that the admins of this board have been deleting and modifying their posts when this is not the case.......
4. What a cool idea !!! Eveyone looks like they are having so much fun. I just love the one of the Golden flying off the diving board. :D

6. :klacz: Good job!!!
7. I am very sorry for your loss :( Though like the others have said we would need to know the details of the incident before any opinions could be formed on negligence.
8. :eek3: :errrr:
9. Here is our gorgeous little girl Kira. We adopted her in March and she was 8 months old at the time. I had been thinking for ages that I wanted a second dog but weren't in the best position to get another puppy so thought we should look for an older fairly submissive female that would get along with Indy. Since what we were looking for was quite specific I expected to have a fairly long search, however somone was watching over us because the first day I even mentioned on another board that I was looking for another dog a lady that runs a rescue organisation got in touch with me to say that as she was reading my post she actually received a phone call from a lady wanting to find a home for an eight month old female Malamute. We fell in love with her straight away and the rest is history. I really think it was meant to be. 10. He looks like a sweet little thing. Good on you for taking him in.
11. Malamum

New rescue.

Izzy, you really are an angel
12. I'm so glad you don't have to put up with him anymore. It's great news that he is outta there...
13. Shara, that little girl is the cutest thing ever.
14. We call Indy a bear because he sits up on his hind legs with his front paws of the ground and then bats at you with his paws.
15. I use our doggy door all the time. If one of us forgets our keys - through the doggy door we go. The other day I actually used it to put the rubbish out. Our bin is outside the door that has the doggy door installed but it was locked so instead of going to get the key I just took myself and the rubbish through the doggy door. Indy came running up to see what I was doing and tried to get his head through at the same time and looked at me as if to say "this is my door - use your own"
16. Poor Zebra, I hope he has a much better day tomorrow. What is it with morons and yelling out of car windows???? :-? :-? I can't think of anything that makes a person look like a bigger idiot.
17. Way to go matey. I was just thinking to myself, something like that has got to make you feel all warm and fuzzy... and then I read your second post  We can't all help every dog out there in rescue by taking them all in ourselves but helping out like you just did has to be the next best thing.
18. I think it's so cool that you guys in the US can take your dogs so many places. Here I wouldn't even be able to get a dog into the shopping mall itself let alone into any individual shops. It's just not the done thing here - which is a reall shame :-?
19. Aroura, Innova is a great food. That's what I ended up feeding Indy before I made the switch to BARF. There is two downsides to it though. In Australia we can only get it from bloody Pets Paradise and I hate that store with a passion - it always caused me guilt to give them my money. Second reason is it is very expensive. 9kg bag costs about $75.00 (they apparantley don't import the 15kg bag). If you do decide to go with it let me know. Pet's paradise has a buy 10 bags get the 11th free (or something like that). I think I got up to about 9 and then stopped buying it. I can post you the card I have that records the number of bags purchased and at least you can take advantage of the free one.
20. I think when we say "would you ever chain a dog" the question is too broad. I don't think the "chaining or tethering" is the actual issue - it's the reason behind the chaining that is the problem. I see nothing at all wrong with tethering dogs in a situations like Pumpkins or Hmmms. However the scenario I do have a problem with is the family that has a single dog, chain it up outside and the only interaction the dog gets with it's family is to have food bowl dropped in front of it once a day.
21. Welcome back Angel, it's nice to hear from you again. I can see the pics and all your gorgeous pets look like they are doing great. Good on you for taking in Weeman (love the name) and giving him a wonderful home.
22. She is so beautiful. The white and tan colouring is my absolute favourite.
23. Most of the time I will use both a voice command and a hand signal simultaneously. However Indy will respond to either on it's own as we have practiced voice only and hand signal only commands quite a bit. However since we haven't had Kira all that long I haven't yet been able to put the amount of practice in with her that I have with Indy. At present she responds best to hand signals.
24. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMAYA :bday: :bday: :bday: :bday:
