Does anyone do this? Some brands have some pretty interesting flavors and I was thinking they would add a little variety. Wellness has Duck, and Prairie has Venison. If they are all quality foods with similiar fat content, etc... would this be okay?

Look out! It's coming right for us! Ok, nevermind.

Poor baby. :(

Wait until you see the next batch of pictures. They are on the regular camera so it will be a few days. The snow is over his head and he and the neighbor dog were climbing up the dirt pile next to us and sliding down it - it's about 15 feet high, but with 2 feet of snow on it, it's a small mountain.
-
No it's not, but this is the first one he's had to plow through - and this is only half of what we are supposed to get. I'll have to take some more when it's up over his head.
what a georgeous dog. how long did it take for him (?) to get used to being on it ? he's really pretty.......
That's his first time on it. We gave him a bath and a blow dry too - first time with the dryer and he didn't care about that either. He's very trusting.
-
Kato would have invited him in for tea and biscuits.

Okay it's just a grooming table, but it's one step closer to a show. I sure hope he grows into that butt!

I didn't like the puppy stage either, and I'm glad he's past the worst part. Trying to watch him every second, following him all over the house, all the pee breaks - no fun! Next time I'm getting an adult.

I'm still waiting to turn on the news one day and hear, "No terrorist attack yet, but in other news, 35 people died of suffocation after duct taping themselves inside their homes."
-
I sprayed Bitter Apple on the piece he chewed on, and when he sniffed it I told him no and he left it alone. Usually that is enough, but we shall see. I left him out again today, but it's only for 2 hours and he has a new bully stick to chew on - it's more exciting than the old one he got 2 days ago.
If plastic and duct tape would keep airbourne chemicals and biologicals out wouldn't it keep air out as well and therefore wouldn't you sufficate if you stayed in there for a week? Anyone live in DC or near a US national monument?
Yes to both questions. A totally airtight room would have to have some kind of outside ventilation system with filters on it. That's why I find the whole duct tape yourself up in your house thing so silly. And I live about 10 miles from DC. This morning they were scaring us with evacuation routes, Hummers with Stinger missiles, and cops with automatic weapons. It's a great place to live right now. :drinking:
How old is he and what things are you doing so he won't get bored?
He's 6 months and oddly enough, it sounds like we do just about all the same things - except the answering machine thing because mine doesn't let you hear the message while it's being left.
-
I am getting a little concerned about what we're going to do if something happens. Any ideas?
Step 1. Bend Over Step 2. Grab your knees Step 3. Pull hard Step 4. Kiss your a** goodbye Sorry to be flip, but really, that's about it. My husband works for the State Dept. and that whole thing about plastic rooms and duct tape is a "keep the crazy masses calm" tactic - much like "duck and cover". I guess now it's Duct and Cover (with plastic). Boo - that was bad I know.
How long is he being left?
This was an experiment. He is usually confined to a large x-pen in the basement while we are at work. I come home everyday at lunch to let him out. This was day 3 and he's never chewed anything up before except his chewies - 3 of which are laying on the living room carpet. I thought that being out in the house would be far less boring then the x-pen, but now I can't trust him so he's back in there until he gets a little older. Or maybe I'll just go get some Bitter Apple. I don't like that china cabinet anyway. :evilbat:
oops, way my day is going I thought subject line meant our employers. 8)
That's a given. :P
-
Kato's been out in the house this week. He was good for 2 days. Today he chewed on the china cabinet - granted the one piece of furniture I despise, but still. He has never shown any inclination to chew on wood before and knows the chewies are his. Now I'm ticked off at him, and he's back downstairs in the x-pen. :-?

That's the problem with pets. They don't stick around long enough. I'm sorry for your loss. :(
-
He's pooping on the step...nah, just kidding! :P
-
No I missed it. How was it? They are never as good as others I have seen....
Kato agrees. :D

Here he is. He's "ok". At least it wasn't the other dog that always looks like he's smelled something bad - he won the Eukanuba Classic. [img]http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/breeds/wm03/garden/images/NM78353302.jpg[/img]

Did you see the Shiba? Everyone already knew that dog would win months in advance - all politics.

Anyone elses dog pee and poop at the same time? He just started doing this...
I also gave my dogs greenies for the first time last night, they all loved them.
Have you discovered that Greenies reassemble themselves at the other end yet? :o
