Actually I think it was carol, not me, about the vicks. However I have had success just sprinkling a little red pepper around the yummy wood furniture that needs "doggie custom carving". Vacuum it up later, it's easy. Or you could start a business with your new designs. Also K will yell at your dog over the computer if you ask her to. Works wonders.
Stretching and drying peckers is an artform?! In the South?! I'm obviously in the wrong part of the South. I wonder if there's a museum somewhere...:-?
       Hey Hobbit, speaking of way too much information:
Trivia: Kangaroo's and other Marsupials are bifurcated. Some people are also (they do it themselves ).
:o :o

I turned the brush over for awhile, so that I wasn't really brushing the dog but running the back of the brush across him. After he got used to that i turned it back over. :)

Ok here is the scoop.... it is a REALLY BAD hotspot, right on his tail stub. It is huge and runny? I thought hotspots were red and dry-ish? He got a prednisone shot and a butt shave  and some cream to put on twice a day. I feel sure he had a temp on Sat. but today it was 100.3.....normal, right? All in all it cost me $38. He was very bad and tried to bite everyone. He fought the whole time they were shaving him.
I would love to see a public education campaign, but is there ANY way we can consider this and leave PETA out of it (not that they'd be interested)? :-?
What is another group we could approach? The ASPCA? What is that group of actors for animals called? There are a bunch of actors who are like, animal advocates. Someone help me out here. :)

Oh ok well mine is the gel....it is diluted with bee pollen and stuff. I have even put it in my mouth on a sore. So hopefully it will not hurt my little guy.

 :o Hilarious! We did not go to petsmart today as planned. the trainer said we do not ~need~ the Basic class and can go straight to Advanced. Please hold the applause. So we will do our pizzle search next week!
I actually read a post on Lab list Friday about a dog passing from Tea tree oil....
What??? Oh my GOD! Now I am panicked...I used it last nite....he has slept almost all day...he doesn't feel good.... are you sure it was the oil? Not an illness or something?
NO MORE NIBBLING TOBY!!!!!! (did that help??)
  Yes thank you, he straightened right up!

   OHHHHHHH how do you stand that???? :evilbat: I voted awhile ago...just didn't post  but my question is this: why in the world would you NOT want shelter pets neutered???? and WHOOOO would oppose it?

Chows are VERY willful and stubborn. I had a female who just didn't get the picture (that I was alpha, not her) until I grabbed her one day by the scruff and flipped her over and growled in her face. I know that is not the recommended way to deal with one but she had snapped in my face. She never did it again!!!! She turned out to be a lovely dog. She was loving and friendly to everyone. Her name was Sugar Bear.
I'm sorry, that wasn't very helpful. I just wanted to rant about Biospot.
I'm with you there, Mei-Mei. The annoying thing is, they have a money-back guarantee  but I used the package to wrap up the little tubes, so Koda wouldn't chew on them (trash junkie  ). So I don't have it and I am SURE they would require it. I am thinking of sending a letter and a copy of my petsmart receipt. At least they would have my complaint.

Toby has chewed on his tail (stub) until it is bleeding all over the place!!!! What is going on? Here's the story: about 2 weeks ago I used a once-a-month flea drop called biospot. He still had fleas afterwards (I could see them). Usually I use advantage and they don't have fleas....I had run out though....and this was cheaper, and it was THERE, so more convenient  anyway so yesterday I got some Advantage and put it on him. I had noticed he was chewing around his tail. Well according to the adv. box, all the fleas are dead in 12 hours. so he should not have fleas. But he has CHEWED HIS STUB until it is bloody. He also seemed not to feel good today.....laying around.... No one is here to help me hold him for a look-see, and he won't let me look much. He has bled all over the couch though; it is NOT NORMAL. And of course the vet is closed......grrr.....was just there(with a cat) at 5 pm but didn't realize this problem then....... suggestions? would tea tree oil be ok to put on there?if he were to lick it off, would it hurt him?
He also has a funny thing where he takes ALL the food out of his bowl, mouthful at a time and puts it on the floor. When the bowl is clean, he lays down to eat it. Chili (my BC) won't eat from a bowl, either. She takes big mouthfuls and puts it on the floor then eats from the floor --- but she just does one mouthful at a time. Each to their own, I guess. Glad I have hardwood floors! :D
My dad's Corgi (which I gave him  ) takes all the food out, buries it, then digs it up and eats it. Also if he tries to switch brands, she dumps the bowl on the ground and then tells him she is hungry.

yes scooter you do it....you want the dog to know he is yours! After meeting with the trainer, she said mine doesn't need Basic. So he is going to advanced and my daughter is going to do it, as she claims him as "her" dog.

Hey guys.....tonite on Animal Planet they are RAIDING A DOG FIGHT. Or a kennel of fighting dogs, I forgot which. Watch it!!!!

OHHHHHH I think it sounds grrrrrrrreat! Can I come???? I do stuff like that by myself all the time, do not worry friends :) And when you get back we'll all start that dog biscuit business.... Ye Olde Biscuit Shoppe......gone to the Dogs

I do not understand why they used Corgis for a bob tail. Corgi pups CAN have a naturally bobbed tail, but the majority of them have REAL TAILS. I will post you a pic of Fella's gorgeous tail. He is a purebred Corgi from champion lines, and would be AKC reg. if I had bothered  and docked his tail. It is furry with a white tip. He likes his tail and is very cocky about it. Of the breeders I know (Corgi breeders I mean) I only know ONE who has ever had pups with bob tails. She said about 2 out of 5 have the natural bob....only in ONE of her lines. anyway....thanks for the link Hobbit....borgis indeed....ya learn somethin' new every day!

It's ok Sasha, I stayed at least 1/2 hour and forgot to buy the DOGFOOD.

:o OHHHHHH.....yes there was a whole row of BULLY or some word close to that....I see....obviously lots of people are in on the secret.

:o I've missed something here but anyway.....again, LIABILITY. If vets admit meds (THEIR meds that THEY recommended) cause probs then they end up in the middle of lawsuits, court etc....tie up their valuable TIME. A personal anecdote: I had that birth control thingie in my arm....what was it called....they had to do a surgery and it lasted 5 years???? norplant????? about 3 years into it my immune system went bonkers....NOOOOO it can't be the norplant....NOOOOO we have never heard of it before..... finally I was in a chatroom and a girl with a moniker like "angelnurse" PM'd me and said, go to this website....it was full of stories JUST LIKE MINE.... it was too late I was already sick. But this stuff is being swept under the rug. Sounds like the same thing is happening w/ the interceptor? I gotta go back and find the beginning of Jacsmoms story!
