I totally agree with canine surgery, that is medicaly called for like cancer, and the like, but not the cosmetic surgery, and Im not buying the whole man created ears thing. we arnt capable of creation so the drop ears had to come from somewhere. its not like thier synthetic, not to mention plenty of working dogs do not have their ears cropped (exclude protection work) and are doing fine, and plenty of dogs even that arent included in the "bull" breeds are not cropped. not to sound like a broken record here but my goldens sure arent cropped and for that matter would never be

yeah he had all three of them riding around like they were best friends, I guess it took him like a year to get them to "run smoothly" though

I usually like those shows too and I liked it today to because of the animals that got saved. But today for whatever reason it REALLY got to me

I saw a show once about a guy who claimed he could talk to animals, to prove it out walked a mouse riding on a cat who both were riding on a dog! the guy confessed later that the key to this was as follows mice feel at home when they can smell them selves, so the guy would put the mouses blanket on the cats back and let him run around for awhile the cat hated getting his feet wet so during the winter he made the only way possible for the cat to get out of the house to poo was on the dogs back the dog didn't need anything cuz he was a golden retreiver and we all know they are the nicest dogs on the planet :wink: I know this doesnt help you at all but you made me think of it :D

I dont find it necessary to crop unless working security or training for war outside of that, cropping has become an accepted form of mutalation, even I have fallen victim to its global complacency in regaurd to tail docking. I like the idea of my boxer having a docked tail, my girlfriend thinks its mean and cruel. I dont know why I feel so differant in regaurd to ears, but I do. I think it is sick and I am reinforced by the fact that Malina's sister's dobie spends time scratching and rubbing its taped ears on walls and furnature, it doesn't seem right to me to see that dog in so much discomfort

I'll keep that in mind, I dont know of anybody off the top of my head that I would worry about

Guest, I understand what you have just said, and I agree but I dont see what your point is? even if these puppy "slates" were not written on correctly or if the "slate" is geneticaly imperfact or geared toward agressiveness, it does not change the pup's innocence, either way he is victim of some human's dilution.
