1. me to....
2. that was a fairly rare and ridiculous question, you must be one of those idiot things I've read about I didnt read those articles posted, from what was said do I assume that it was about a neo who killed someone and people screaming "man eater" because of it, is that about right? should I read the article or is it basicaly another piece of anti dog bias sh!t? I dont like the cropped look on neos it just doesnt look right. But it sure is hard to find
3. yes I that is the site, I cant find the article though, maybe I found it off a link, hmmm I'll keep looking I heard and read both sides of the dog aggressive thing, and I feel from some phone calls I made and a handfull of emails that these dogs need to be very confident and not dog aggressive. remember they were originaly war dogs then turned gaurd dog, so I personally worry about people aggression. In the sense that if some kid breaks into my house and the dog (I already have a name picked out, Ceaser) busts the kid up, I'll bet I take a fall for it . The thing is a good confident dog really is not a danger if he has a clear head on his shoulders. Besides I plan on pushing him upward around 250 pounds so I really doubt anyone with any sort of cerebral function would aproach a house with a dog that size, but ya never know right? The thing that I worry about with having a mastino with a boxer is in regaurd to how they play, and probably not for the reason you think, that page has some info about how their bone structure is set up and how an active life style dooms them to bone problems much earlier and much worse than classicaly thought of. So like I said in the other post I will not get Ceaser until I'm not capable of that life style anymore or until I can spend every minute of every day with him. He will most likely be the dog I die with . But they are the coolest dogs I have ever seen and you can see pride on every single one even as pups they carry themselves a certain way. I have 5 pictures up on my bulliten board that I see everyday and I cant wait to have one :D no time to proof read, I hope I made sense .......see ya later
4. SWEET! just what I needed, oh yeah 8) thanx smoosh :D
5. my last post was way funnier than your laughin by the way I have never understood why the AKC and other "clubs" even exsist as far as us non showing dog owners go. it seems to me that not quite so educated people read how good every dog is in these AKC type publications and then they buy one dont like it and it ends up dead and I have also read so many articles about how their "show" qualities and required "form" damages larger breeds like the Neo and destroys what breeders have worked so hard to maintain but I dont know I'm not a fan of showing or dog clubs *I do know there are working dog clubs and specific breed clubs that help breeds and care greatly for their dogs*
6. in my best BIG BLACK guy voice with my fist to my mouth OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
7. you bring a dog to their "eligability" tests and if he passes their tests than you can use him in "training" and if passes "training tests" then we can go on to "specific training" ie narcs, tracking, protection.... "------" these are not the true terms but it was only explained to me once
8. they would have to kill me in the street if I ever went there, I could never go to or live in a place that made laws like this! K, is holland like this?
9. so those dogs all died on the basis that they were born as pitts?
10. the page is still loading but what does BSL mean?
11. I thought about the EMT thing to, but personaly feel its a "clean up" job in the sense that your not solving the problem just fixing what the monsters break, we need that, but we also need the ghostbusters or the guys who'll stop it from happening in the first place. I just feel more called to police work than the fire department or EMT but with out EMT you have twice as many people dieing so either or its alot better than...........being in the air force
12. guest said
Do you really think if the 'home' dog had been a beagle or golden retriever or a chinese crested the fight would have happened the way it did?
well in retrospec yes, and here is my reasoning if I am home my male retreiver is nice and shy (not in a insecure way, more of a young pup shy) but when I am gone and it is just the women in the house he turns into protection mode. if a dog came into my yard while I was home Oscar would bark and come to get me (it has happened and this is what both my dogs do) however going by what my girlfriend tells me he would definatly attack and intruder in their defense. and it makes sense that he would as the normal protector isnt there anymore In this case, without knowing the details, I agree that both owners are at fault but definatly more so the GSD than the pit, and its 100% this story is going the way that it is because the victor was a pit. In fact if this happened the other way around we would never even have heard about it
13. that makes alot of sense goo, thanks so if I intend to go for the K9 thing and if I deciede that I have something to prove with my boxer and/or AB I'll just have to work harder longer but all in all I can have a just as effective dog :D

Sick sick sick!

this is worse than that down south county that replaced lethal injection with .22 cal bullets.....oh this sh!t pisses me off.....you know I'll bet you could support 20 employees full time to patrol the country and stop this crap, what can we do? and I dont mean a petition, we should do that to but I wanna REALLY do something direct!
15. well, the age here is 21 mostly, but police departments provide their own insurance so its really up to the depatment whether they hire at 18 or 21 but most departments dont feel like 18 is a good age to be driving around at 120 MPH in a department cruiser, however a few cities do use 18 year olds but they are held to a greater standard than the rest. oh and corgi I'm 20 in feb :D  :) and any liscensed officer can carry a gun regaurdless of age, as far as the federal law goes but as long as the state law is more stringent local law takes president, its up to the city to determine whether they licsence under 21 or not in my bouncing around the local precincts I notice that almost all are looking for K9 officers and it also entitles a pay raise :D so I meantion to them all I'm interested in doing K9 work and they all recieve me quite well
16. real quick, how is malinois pronounced? I saw it like MAL-in-wah but I cant quite figure how that is supposed to roll of ones tongue
17. forget the judge he is a lost cause, give me the kids email address and actually I'd take his street address instead
18. you know as cheesey as it sounds I 100% believe our dogs go to heaven, because the way I look at it a dog provides a kind of joy that nothing else can bring and without that specific feeling heaven would lack something, so I know that I'll see my dog Tosh again she's waitin for me with a body that works completely, and it puts a huge smile on my face to think about seeing her again :D you know I dont know about your specific situation but that practicaly exact same thing happened to my aunt who had 3 rotties and a then got a GSD. we therorised that the 3 rotties packed up and had an established authoritive chain and the GSD just didnt fit. either way its a terrible thing for anyone to go through and I really hope you and your family can overcome and recover, and try as hard as you can to not hold it against the breed, we will never know everything that happens inside the animal realm, again I'm sorry for you and your family that is a very traumatic thing to go through, good luck with the new pup
19. actualy your total post number is a source of pride here and many struggle daily to beat out the others in their rank. So no offense takin and you have some catching up to do friend :) by the way how is Smoosh doin these days, has she passed me yet....hmmm I must go find out
20. thanx gals I knew someone would answer if I moved the post :) It's my main order of buisness today to prove that boxers or bullboxers are cut out for all around police work. but I'm also interested in the malinosis I already know by the time this thread is over I'll learn something big :D
21. okay nobody answers these things when they are so far down on the list so I'm gonna repost, hehe so who knows about police dogs? I am interested in my local K9 unit as they have offerd me the opportunity to take one of their training courses. I am wondering about breeds and what they are specificaly good at, I read the boxers are great police dogs but Ive never seen one. I also remember talking about the Malinosis as being better cut out for a cop dog, but again never seen one. At workingpitbull.com she praises the pit bull's ability in the police field of work, but guess what....I've never seen one. so what do you guys know, I'm assuming each dog has a handfull of traits that out do the others and that the GSD and Malinosis type dogs are just better rounded? But I also know once groups like cops and military find something that works they really stick with it instead of looking for new possiblities, so can you guys elaborate on some of the breeds I just mentioned and any others you know of, specificaly what they have done as far as police work thanx :D
22. you ever notice this kind of stuff never happens around people like us? (except the whole pup mill going on) makes you wonder if people like this know to keep their mouth shut around people who know what they are talking about
23. good luck all, and remember if all else fails buy a big gun hold them up and take the dogs, just kidding.....ok 50% kidding......25%.......no, no Im serious buy a ski mask and just shoot 'em dump the bodies in the power plant river and watch 'em erode away right in front of your eyes. no problems with that plan :D
24. I cant find the page right now, its a quite popular one though, written up by some doctor. he also talks about BARF and how people who show and breed to the AKC standards for Neos, are doing massive harm to this dog. I'm sure you have seen the page its got a grey backgound and a bad midi file that plays in the background....jeez its always when you try to find something that its gone, oh well I'll find it and post on it when I do
25. I've done more looking into this dog than ANY other and it's swarmed with opinions. The coolest thing I ever found was an article about stating, 3000 years ago these dogs ran side by side with greek and roman soldiers into battle. there are acounts of people who's villages were razed talking about "Demon dogs" and "great monsters controled by a master." this breed is very special and very protective, but just like any dog in the world good training and a healthy home life will render these dogs benevolent family pets. Be ready to have a dog that breaks 200 pounds though, these guys are HUGE and eat ALOT and drool ALOT. I will buy one when I retire my main reasons for waiting till then is these guys should not run awhole lot, almost never at full speed. They are to big and heavy to be super active all the time, like me :D . Also they are prone to cherry eye and one thing I have read repeatedly is by never puting a lead or collar on for the first 6 months will significantly decrease the chance of it poping up. so I plan to be with the dog all day every day for the first 6 months
