I was on operationk9rescue looking at their "success" stories I was looking at neo named sterling and on the owners webpage she states that her favorite link is the one these pics are from I it very disturbing that this guy has that little "sugar" on that huge chain! and the only dogs that look anywhere near "good" are his brand new ones, I dont know what to do, I think I'll email him and find out where he lives, I dunno :x

OH I REMEMBER NOW Hobbit, you were talking about how after line breeding you can "secure" a trait into a dog type, or at least thats what I thought I read. Is that directly related to why you say not to assert Alphaness and dominance over herding breeds? Are they geneticaly "built" to not be conquerd, there for they can herd rowdy and much bigger animals?

well basically I said, in my other 2 that I didnot know anything about breeders as I have never bought a dog from a breeder, I have always adopted. so I'm not familiar with the lingo or what to look for in a puppy purchase agreement. The breeder's link you provided was interesting I liked his Oldes but didnt like the cage the pups were in, but I realize one with so many dogs has to use methods like that for containment. when seeing breders all I can do is formulate a peersonal opinion of the guy via what he has written on his site and look at his pics/vids both of these methods are very easily decptable so I must also take into account what the people of this board have to say. In general I know who I see eye to eye with and who I dont, so I can get a kinda-sorta idea of what I might think. Bulldog Faithfullest, you had said you knew this and some other breeders personally, might I request that you drop these guys a line about this forum and see if they could answer a couple questions for us? I would like to get as many opinions as I possibly can on the matter, I would really enjoy owning one of these dogs, but since it would be the first from a breeder I am a bit lost some Qs how many of these dogs exsit today in the US? it seems this breed has fixed alot of problems with the normal bulldogs but what issues still haunt this new "Olde" breed? has the breed been around with addiquit numbers long enough to really know what temperment and health issues are like or is it more of a scientific conclusion based on the breed mixes used? I know you may not know the answers to these but it seems like you may be close to people that do, so if you get the chance and dont mind it would be usefull if you could inquire for me :D
