1. Good Luck!
2. special kinda stupid  I think they call that loaded!!! Rich people don't usually give a crap about anyone else. That includes animals, it's all about what is in at the moment.
3. Sounds like it could have been a seizure. I'm no expert, but I'm sure it would scare the crap out of me if it happened. I'd call the vet quickly.
4. He is so good looking. I love the second picture. He looks very happy. He is a big boy though. Toby is about the same age and only weighs 21 lbs.
5. That's a good one. I don't know what Toby means. Gotta look it up. Duh I knew that. I mentioned the name Tobias to my husband. Guess that is where Toby came from. Anyways, it means God is Good. :D
6. Sounds like they really felt bad about it. I think you handled that very well. Hopefully they have seen that what they done was wrong and will not do so in the future. I really think you did good with this, somepeople would have just gone to the parents screaming and throwing a fit. Way to go.
7. You might as well offer to take the dog off her hands and find her a good home. She may dump her on you anyways. Gently explain to her that dogs need love and attention and that if her life is that busy she does not need the stress of a dog. I feel bad for that poor dog, sounds like she has had it rough. Way to common of a story though.
8. Toby has to stay in the laundry room when no one is here. He has tons of toys and it is a pretty large room. Normally I am here, but Friday we were gone from 7 am to 10 pm. He did fine and when I got home we played a little before I went to bed. I felt bad leaving him that long, but we had a trip we had to go on. I don't think it really affects most dogs. They just go with the flow.
9. Toby is pretty freaked by things and the car is a biggie. He didn't throw up but he did slobber everywhere. The vet said he would get over it after a few trips in the car. He looked so sad when I got him out of the car I don't know if I could put him through it again. There is motionsickness medications for dogs. If it was an extreme problem I would say go that route, but yours doesn't sound so bad. I think you may be making to big of a deal out of it and the dog is just overwhelmed. He doesn't understand why it is such big deal to you and therefore doesn't know how to react. He is probably more comfortable that you think he is, he is just confused as to what you want from him. Tone it down and just say good boy on his way in and out of the car. A quick pat on the head and let it go. He will figure it out. I would obstain from trying treats in the car as they might make him sick if his tummy is upset.
10. I saw a three legged dog and TV and got to wondering something. It is easier on them to lose a front leg or a back leg? I know its not easy to lose a leg, but I mean easier to recover and adjust to.
11. DO, I could have used you at the vet the other day. Toby totally freaked and wouldn't come out of the crate. The vet had to drag him out. I also agree that animals tend to trust some people more than others. They sense something in them. Animals are pretty good judge of character. Some animals connect better with people also. McKenzie and I had this amazing connection. It was weird to desciribe, but it was a great relationship of total trust and love. I wonder if Toby and I will have that. He is closer to my daughter, for some reason he is crazy about her. Guess it's just different people and different animals. I still don't believe that people can translate dog thoughts into human speech. Just like I don't believe people can communicate with the dead. If it isn't alive and doesn't speak the same language you do it is very hard to communicate. Unless of course there is a translation book laying around. I have yet to see and english to dog translation book, or vice versa!
12. YAY...and I am wearing the exact same slippers that I see under that chair. Toby loves to bite them when I walk by and will sneak off with one if he gets it!
13. Boy you sure are blunt and straight forward aren't ya???
14. Sounds like she knows what the bed is for  Sorry, couldn't help it. We had a female one time that humped. I was very confused by the whole thing. It was hilarioius though. I don't know what to tell ya. I think Kendalyn's suggestion is a good one.
15. I don't really believe in it myself. I just can't see it working. Humans and dogs don't communicate very well. My daughter barks at the dog and he barks back, but neither knows what the other means. Even though my daughter says she knows. Just my opinion.
16.

since noone has guessed well i'll tell you what the rescue vet told them, St and corgi!
SAINT AND CORGI? Is that even possible? :o
Was wondering the same thing. Can you picture that conception??? :o I hope the momma was a saint, because a corgi have pups that big would be super corgi!!! Actually, I can see it now that I think of it. Poor McKenzie when she went into heat, she would lay down and try to get the smaller male dogs to get her. HO. The big dogs were no problem but she did lay down for this one small dog so he could attempt to have a go. Luckly no pups from that heat. It was funny, but that was when she got locked up so they couldn't get to her. Adorable puppy. Can't say I see corgi, but OK.
17. AAWWW, sweet but silly. Hey, when do most dogs start lifting the leg? Just so I can watch for Toby! Wouldn't want to miss his first big tinkle moment!
18. Oh I love good news. Sounds like great fun. Congrats.
19. Um, no...I see nothing but some words at the top that don't make sense.
<META name="keywords" content="abandoned, animal shelters, second chances, love, loyalty, euthanasia, adopted, adoption, rescue, used, shelter dog, mixed breed, purebred, pitbull, pitbulls, black pearls, hero, My name is Sam, Gems of the heart, Top Ten, Black Dog Syndrome, needs a home the black dog, positive dog training, pet behavior, blackpearldogs, dogonecrazy, bite prevention, game board, dog gone crazy, training,
That is all it said????????????????? :o  I'm confused
20. Ok now I know there is something odd to peeing on other animals. Duece, my parents min-pin, lived here briefly and there was this one little pup that he would always pee on. Everytime the pup would come in the yard Duece would mark him. HEHEHEHE, dogs are silly. Duece pees in his water bowl. Everytime you give him new water he pees in it. It's so gross! He does the same with his food. Maybe just a little to much male in these dogs!!! I think I would be upset if a dog peed on my child. I'd get over it as the dog didn't know it would upset me, but still thats odd. :o
21. I read it, I just couldn't think of anything to help ya. :( Sorry.
22. Bad news and good news kinda. Well I hate to hear about poor Pooh Bear, but things come and we deal with them. Poor baby, I sure feel bad for him. Everything will work out and you will do all you can I am sure. Good Luck and good thoughts to Pooh Bear.
