i just switched my adult dogs from diamond original to diamond lamb and rice. and hopefully soon i can switch them to premium edge or chicken soup dog food..

is synflex a pill or a power or what? i need to get maggie back on something for her arthrits..she is just on glucosamine.. i had her on glycoflex since we got that free bottle..and she did really great! but that stuff is really expensive! what is the website for synflex again?

People confuse Eli(apbt) with a boxer :-? and tons of people think Ozzy is purebred Golden..but i guess he does look it..

it's not that hard to tell if a dog is purebred. i mean yes some are so badly bred that they dont look lik their breed standard. but just cause they are in a shelter doesnt mean that what breed they are is questionable. when I went to the shelter the other week there was a purebred GSD and a purebred Boxer. not question about it, they were purebred.

Like it really matters what you call a dog. ALL dogs are mutts. I prefer to say call sheeba a chow/akita mix instead of just a mutt. i think mutt or mongrel is degrading..dont know why..but I do.. but it really does NOT matter what the heck someone calls a dog. Shadow IS a great pyrenees/lab mix. her daddy was a pure great pyrenees and her momma was a pure black lab. so that is what i call her. i mean really, are people THAT worried about what someone calls their fricken dog? :roll: i mean i understand when someone gets a lil ticked off or whatever when someone calls their dog a doodle or some other rediculous name, but there is nothing wrong with calling a dog a shepherd/husky mix or what the heck ever.

that depends. The HS here SUX. They dont really seem to care about the animals and where they go. All you have to do is walk in, pick out a dog(or two or three or four or however many you want) pay the money and you get the dogs(or cats) :cry: that's really sad, cause they dont spay/neuter or vaccinate or anything. with rescues, you have to fill out an adoption application, have it approved, pick out a dog you like, they see if it suits you, have a home check, and then you get the dog(AFTER the dog has been vet checked, spay/neutered and vaccinated). but then again there are HS's that screen the adoptees, they vaccinate the dogs, they spay/neutere, and they really care. and there are rescues that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot poll. and generally HS's are run by the government and rescues are run solely by donations

The first thing you need to look for in a breeder is if they do Health Testing! If they don't, then run and never look back. but dont get me wrong, just cause they health test doesnt always make them a good breeder either. but the fact that your breeder doesnt health test(unless she does and just doesnt put that on her site..wich I doubt that cause if ya health test you put that on the site so people know..) Health testing is VERY important with ALL breeds. Another thing is if they show. and what kind of titles do the dogs have? and did the dogs really earn the titles or did they go to small shows where they only competed against one or 2 dogs and those dogs were crappy so they won(when a judge is given a bunch of crappy dogs..he/she still has to pick a dog..) How many litters do they have a year? A responsible breeder won't have more than 2 a year, and a really responsible/reputable breeder only has maybe 1 every 2 years. Do they interview everyone who wants to buy a puppy? They ask you tons of questions and they make SURE that prospective buyers are in it for the long haul and they will give the puppies/doggies a great home. This is just the basic stuff to look for. Don't think your puppy is any less of a dog because of where he came from, love him for who he is. and just because he came from a BYB doesnt always mean he will have health problems..it's just more likely that if he would have came from responsible breeder. my 2 purebred dogs did come from BYB's, but the difference is is that I didn't pay for them, so therefore I didnt support the breeder. Maggie was free to good home..and eli..well I kinda rescued him..that's a bit of a long story.... but most people do end up buying a dog from a BYB, even if they dont always know it.. and your right, rescue dogs do come from BYB's...that's why they are IN rescue..cause the BYB didnt care enough to make sure the pups got a good home and didnt check up on the puppies..

I cant handle doing that, that early in the morning but i do because i cant leave it there. I will not do this for the rest of Magic's life. We are going to the bahamas in a little over a week and im so afraid to leave the dogs to my mom. I dont want her to have to come over here and clean that up. I have been thinking about having Magic put to sleep. I know that sounds horrible and maybe im a horrible person but i cant do this anymore. Im tried of crying about it. My stress level over this is thru the roof. I just cant take this anymore. Im praying that God gives me the strength to do the right thing. Thanks for listening, i really needed to get this all out. i'd mail them regular mail, your mail man/woman would deliver them and yes i can do 2 heads on one piece. i have set my prices as small(6 1/2 by 3 inches) $15 large(8 by 10 inches) 25 $5 for each additional pet(so a large with 2 pets would be $30) i accept cash and money orders. i mail it out as soon as i receive the money.
