Meg and Zoe both love to have something to show you when you come home and I can remember there was one time when Meg was younger about 6 mths old, she couldn't find a toy nearby so she grabbed her brother Shane's tail and dragged him up to me with tail wagging full speed lol

Hi Aurora, perhaps you could foster one of the RSPCA puppies for a short time? When exactly are you getting your own puppy? As long as you leave the house puppy free for about 2/3 weeks before yours arrives, you should be fine with taking on one of the shelter puppies (or 2 or 3!). As far as your own puppy goes, wait until he has all his vaccinations then wait for about 5 days to take him out. Even keeping him in a sling will mean that he will not be completely safe from airborne viruses and it really is safer to keep him in your own territory.

Welcome Sash, your furbabe is a wee sweetheart

Congrats on the new addition. She is a very pretty litte girly :D

well hey if it works, and just as long as when they are given another command they aren't reluctant to do it for "fear" anticipation of a nasty reward :P

erf DAL, I've nothing constructive to offer but I hope you get it sorted out ok

Very interesting with ref to the collar. At the moment in the UK the KC are being pressured to change the rules to allow dogs to wear a flat clip collar. Personally I dont see the harm if it is a close fitted collar and I haven't ever seen a dog get caught on equipment, so I'm for the change.

ahhh I've only ever seen solid poodle colours too but that parti-colour poodle is amazing! :D

These sorts of situations are purely infuriating.. unfortunately we can't be responsible for other peoples actions  At least you tried to educate her

You don't even need the captions to know that they really enjoyed each others company and had a fab day out. Wonderful photos and great to see very happy doggies! :D

My dogs would never get rawhide bones, only the roasted bones. Raw hide bones don't fully dissolve in the dog's gut and can become trapped if ingested in large chunks. There is also a link to cancer that has been under investigation for the last lot of years.

erf Shar come on you're stronger than that. Next time kick a wall, but remember our dogs are only there to comfort us and Apollo will forgive you. I'm sure its probably very hard but rise above it all and give Apollo a big hug.

Based on the nature of the breed I have to agree that it is a good idea for pits and pit mixes to be kept on leads at dog parks and to be avoided. I know it may make some owners feel like they have the plague but hey its better than having a potential incident which could potentially through damage and euthanasia risk the lives of dogs and owners. It is such a shame that these dogs have been labelled and I would love to see their image changed but society and irresponsibility along with genetics wil ensure that these dogs are always classified as a public liability. :-?

:bday: :new-bday: :BIG: :new-bday: My Golden oldie Zoe is 13 years old today and I'm delighted to say she is still very much enjoying life in her carefree Golden way! :D

Well Carol just put the trip down to an experience. I'm sorry that it didn't go so well for you and your Mum and the dogs, but just loon on towards the next show that you will be at. One thing I caught in your post that I'm interested in. In America are dogs allowed to wear a collar while under an agility test?

It sounds like it hits home Eric. Over here in the UK our strongest ad is from the USPCA showing euthanased kittens and puppies in a bin. Its sad but sometimes its the imags that get people to think.

Gee whizz Kendalyn that is bloody ridiculous. Well let me tell you that by them treating you like a sub-standard human they have done you a favour as with that huge number of dogs in a class, Buck would have learnt nothing and he would likely have just got more anxious around other dogs. The ratio of dogs and trainers is certainly not normal, and certainly not safe either as it is impossible for a trainer to keep an eye on that volume of dogs constantly. Work with him at the park in the meantime and have a look about for obedience classes that are more amicable and know how to train.

Sorry that was a typo.. should have read hyper allergenic reaction in my post.

awwwww don't we all have such cute furbabes :D
