Kato's a ladies man. Maybe they should meet. :iloveyou:
Oh Sally would be so honored, but I can't allow that she is only allowed to see CH Rhodesian Ridgebacks, preferably from strong lines with strong ROM's.
-
:D Oh boy is she a flirt, check out a post I have a little while back, I think I titled it Sally's a tease. She plays the boys against each other.
-
:D   I think it's more like she wants to be where the boys are.

:D Sally-rose is too smart for her own good. Last night Deb asked if I was going to go to the lake; Did Sally or Rocket look up from her nap at the mention of the word lake, NO, not even an ear perk. I replied, No, I am going to take the babies to the park; Did Sally bolt her head up, sit straight up and stare at me with these eyes :o YES Of course she did. She then put her head in my lap and pouted, I just pet her and then she went and got to her bed to go to sleep, guess she wanted to get well rested. Then at 6:00 am sharp she woke me up, I told her no, not today, tommorrow, she barked at me, whined a little and then did some really pathetic Chubacah sounds. Paced the halls, running to the door every time I even looked like I was going in that direction. She has figured out the difference between the park and the lake, and quite frankly she obviously prefers the park, but then again who can blame her, her boyfriends are at the park.

:D
There are international distributors for EaglePack. See if there is a close one that can ship it the rest of the way to you: http://www.eaglepack.com/pages/distr_internat.html
My dogs absolutely love this brand. I feed the Eagle Natural for large breeds, but after seeing Sally & Rocket's brother who is on the Holistic, I am really seriously considering switching to it. I swear by this brand, great stools that are clock-work. I have never owned an animal that has a poo-poo at the same time every day. Absolutely no allergies or digestion problems other than the occasional frog supplement (when will he learn). Great coats and teeth, Paku had a perfect coat (he's on the Holistic). Now I add real meat or the canned food and they get good stuff like yogurt. Rowie - see if your store will become a merchant for this brand.

:D That's what the post is for Horsefeathers. Would love to hear some of your tips you use that are from him.
-
:D Then I could get one with 2 RR's and an IG.
-
:D Forget to say that she is gorgeous.

:D
Welcome :D Lovely dog- they must be very rare if you had to look for 10 years! I've never heard of them. Are they related to the Rhodesian Ridgeback?
There is some debate as to whether the now extinct South African dog (Koi-Koi Dog) that the RR is descended from is descended from the Thai, or the Thai from the Koi-Koi. There is a theory that the South African tribes did merchant business with the sea-merchants from the regions near/around Thailand, it is through this trade business that they believe the ridge and unfortunately the dermoid sinus traits were shared. There is also a theory that the breed originated in the East and that travelors migrated to South Africa with the breed. So glad that you finally found a Thai, although I am going to be partial and say you should've got an RR. But, I will forgive you if you intend on breeding soundness to preserve a breed in danger of extinction.

:D I love them........... He doesn't do Ridgebacks.

:D Thought I would let everyone hear read what I had to say to the man.
Well, where will the breed banning stop, if you ban one breed the irresponsible owneres will just make another breed severly aggressive, then you will have to ban that breed until finally the beloved Lab is in jeapordy of being banned, not because it's a vicious animal but because the irresponsible owners didn't have any other breed to make aggressive enough to dog fight and of course we have to punish the good owners to keep the bad owners in check. I suggest you think about what you are suggesting before jumping to a rash desicion. A true dog lover

:D
instead of those over priced, unhealthy dog treats.
You mean Dog Candy! That's what I call it, the second ingredient is usually SUGAR. I wish I had your self-discipline, I want to eat organic and pesticide free but it's hard for me to discipline myself that way.
-
:D Wow Cassie, do you need or want any borders, say two RR's an IG and Me.
-
   Michele & Crested the two of you have some spoiled rotten babies. Glad the babies are loving the yogurt. You can't say the word in my house, unless you plan on giving them some.
Evening Primrose Oil capsule (normal cheap human one a day style) either burst over their food, or if your dog is like mine, and thinks it's a lovely treat, give them it whole. Great for their coat, and apparently their joints too. Didn't know about Olive Oil, I used to give mine plain old veggie oil (tablespoon on their food) - but if I cant get hold of the EPO, I'll use Olive Oil instead, always have some in the house, just didn't know if I could use it...... :D
Didn't know Primrose was safe for dogs. Olive Oil is better as it helps to reduce cholesteral. Note on this statement to K- we posted same time, and after what I read about safflower oil, I may switch to it.
-
:D I would love to hear about everyone's tips and tricks for keeping their dogs healthy. Anything goes, coat care, nail care, teeth care...etc. I'll start first. 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil added to their kibble once a week for their coat. Yogurt 3-4 times a week for digestion.
:D in case anyone else has drain issues peel a lemon and keep the peels. About a third of the peel is good for cleaning out the garbage disposal. Put the rest in the freezer, for use later on. Start the disposal, run water and it will grind up the peels, and the whole kitchen will smell like fresh lemon...REALLY fresh lemon, not Mr. Clean lemon - LOL - then take the lemon and juice it, and make lemonade!! fresh lemonade is the BEST!! ok, I'm done doing the Martha Stewart thing now.... :D
Here's another Martha Stewart type tip: If you have a septic tank, pour a beer down it once a month to keep the enzymes healthy. The yeast helps to speed up the decay process of the waste.

:D :D Starfox - Sally :o ate :o my pool last year, she tore a hole the size of my fist where the blow-up plug is. Sally & Rocket like to play at night after the sun goes down, but now I really have to play close attention to what they are actually doing since Rocket has developed a taste for frogs.

....They did suggest that BARF might help if it's IBS - amazingly a vet who doesn't push Science Diet - ....quote] Keep that vet, don't let him go. I hope that Kato gets better. I am not trying to scare you, but: You posted something about another dog dying after going to a show, where you at that same show?
-
I use cheap old hydrogen peroixde on wounds...Neosporen is good to use also.
That's what I use. Don't let the pup lick or drink the Hydorgen Peroxide; that's what you use to get them to throw up.
-
:D Yeah, and the fact that I would actually eat it with my babies is an added bonus, just think of how special they will feel to get to eat ice cream with you.
-
:-? I thought dogs were not real wild about eating fish to begin with. I think I will substitute the fish with some nice carob chips and let the babies think they're having chocolate. and use vanilla instead of garlic.

 Girlfriend - We at Dogo understand that children are going to be a part of a board and firmly believe that you should be here to educate them not put them down and force them to learn on their own. We also could care less if someone uses the correct spelling or punctuation, people from other countries are not very good with english and we know what they are trying to say. We also know that trying to correct someone else's children on their use of profanity is inappropriate. We are a very devoted, caring family here and do our best to make people feel welcome, you would probably do well to understand that and actually join us here and help educate these kids that are just trying to do the best they can given their own individual circumstances. I guess what I am trying to say is that the majority here believe in compassion, caring, understanding & education.
(by the way some vets recommend it because they sell it) Just what I was about to say :-?
Another note on this: Most vets rely on the distributers/manufacturers/researchers to tell them what the best stuff is. They also rely on other vets experience with the food. Most vets are not nutritionists and tend to recommend what they sell. That's the one thing I don't like about my vet, he recommends Science Diet for my RR's when I have done my research and know that Eagle Natural or Holistic is the best for them.

:D absolutely wonderful, I can hear the Chewbauca duet right now, grunts and all.
