1. I'm so sorry. :( Fingers and paws crossed here. I wish you the best luck in whatever you decided to do.
2. Oh good god..where do these people come from?! I'm glad so many people are on there supporting Pits. Some of the posts just scare me..some of the people are just so blatantly ignorant and believe everything the media tells them. Uh..I wish that we could somehow ban all the stupid people.
3. Zebra hates it when I'm on the computer. He will stand in the livingroom and watch me use the computer then he will just start barking and barking untill I finally get up and pet him. OR he will come up to me and nudge my left arm everytime I try to type so I keep misspelling words.
4. :o Aghhh! You'r encouraging me! Stop or I'll end up adopting him without my parents permission. I just want him soo bad..but I know I can't have him...uh. My mom said I could get him if I paid for and fenced the entire yard by myself.... :o  MajiesMom- Gee thanks sooo much for posting that pic...now I'm in love with that breed! I just love brindle dogs and that one in the pic is sooooo beautiful! :D Hillside- One problem with the dog in my sig is that...he barks...and barks..and barks..and..well you get the idea.
5. I figured since I volunteer at the HS I would eventually find a dog that I really liked and wanted. I was just hoping that this would happen later rather then sooner. But today I found the cutest pup and I just HAVE to have him! Ok so realisticly I know I don't have the room/time or money to get another dog but...I STILL WANT HIM!!!!!!!!!!! I already tried to con/guilt my mom into letting me get him because she is usually a sucker when it comes to dogs but still she said no. He has muddy looking paws just like Zebra does and that makes me want him even more! He is listed as a brindle GSD/Akita mix but I don't think he has a lick of Akita in him. He is super cute and super friendly. Wahhhhh I want this puppy! His pic dosn't do him justice at all. He is way cuter then that.
6. I'm parinoid about this too. I always think about the "What if..."'s.
7. I'm so sorry Izzy. I hope you, your wife and all your other fur kids are holding up ok. Run Free Tabatha.
8.

Especially if you factor in that breeders back in the 60's and 70's didn't have all the testing and knowledge that we have available now and bred a lot more. Breeding was fairly different back then. The process for responsible breeders in the intervening years has changed drastically.
That doesn't make it right! Backyard Breeding is pretty popular and accepted by a large number of people but that doesn't make it any less horrible. If Rodgers has changed her ways and has stoppped overbreeding, then that's great. But it doesn't make what she did in the past OK.
Que? Come again? I don't get what your saying at all. If she was practicing the breeding standard at the time (60's 70's) you can't compair that to now. She shouldn't be penalized for what she did 40 years ago now. That's like arresting you now for stealing candy at age 5. And I don't see any hard evidence that she was a BYB or overbreeding. As other people said it's not impossible to have 150 Championships in 40 years especally if she co-owned them. 150 Champions does not equal 150 dogs that she breed. Oh and Odnarb can I have that dog?? PLEASE?! His face is sooo cute! :D
9. I'd love to give you some advice but I don't realy know all that much about what happend. I think we need some facts before we can understand the "why" behind the bite. How long have you had since you've taken him from your dad? How long have you had him in training? How old is he? What were the circumstances of the bite? Do you think it's agressive bitting, fear or lack of socalization?
10. Izzy i'm so sorry. After everything Tabatha has been threw now this, I hope she gets better.
11. WOW! She is beautiful! Her paws are huge though!
12. Zebra is a little over 2 years now but he still humps occasionaly. But he only humps his pillow/bed. He has never attempted to hump a human or a dog, just his pillow. I try to get him to stop when he does or i'll get his attention with food but generally I don't care.
13.
I don't need to explain myself to you all, and if this is how I am going to be treated after being a member here for over a year. Then you all are not my friends and I don't need to be here. :agrue:
Just because you have been a member here for over a year does not mean that we will look the other way when your dog has a litter of mixed pups. And considering that you have been a member for some time you should have known that some of us wern't going to be happy about it. And if I remember correctly didn't you volunteer at a Humane Society or shelter before? Did you not see all the animals that needed home there? I honestly don't know how you could have let your dog have the pups knowing that there are millions of dogs in the world that need homes. :-?
14. Please god tell me that you had her spayed and that all her pups are spayed/neutered? :-?
15. Zeb has HD, but it was diagnosed when he was about 1 year and it's a high/medium HD (does that makes sense? ). Zebra is on Glucosamine/Chondroitin and is doing well. Definitly watch Taurus' weight and don't let him get fat. Exersize is great but nothing to vigourous. I have a special orthopedic foam bed for zeb that isn't too hard on his hips and supports his weight. Good luck with Taurus and give him a little cuddle for me. :D
16. Hey Izzy! Long time no see. :D How have you been? How are all your animals?
17. I always get so happy when I hear about celeberties adopting. So many young people (and older people) look up to them and it's great advertisement when they rescue. Actually about a week or so ago I was volunteering and two of the stars of The OC came in to look at the animals, I don't think they adopted any but they were definitly interested in a pug mix. :D
18. If this guy dosn't even take care of his animals I shudder to think about how he treats other peoples animals. :-?
19. Oh I have to add I would never own a Chow Chow or a Cocker Spaniel. I have never meet a nice Chow or Cocker, everyone I have meet has tried to bite me or attack me. And like HF said Chows have there own "Language" and I can not speak or read it. I'm sure there are nice Chows and Cockers out there..I've just never meet any. I'm not sure if I would ever own a 100% Purebred dog. I'm too fond of mixes and mutts. :D
20. From what i've seen in my area it would probably be Labs, Goldens and maybe pits.
21. What do you mean by nightmares? Do you mean twitching and some vocal sounds? Or something more server? Zebra has had dreams before where his paws move and he makes some sounds. Then he has had some nightmares where he looks like he is having convultions and wakes up barking and scared. I just comforted him when he woke up and he was fine. He hasn't had any in a long time. How old is cinco and how long have you had him?
22. I don't think I could ever own a small dog (30lbs or less). I like big dogs and always have. Like HF and Corrie I don't think I could ever own a Pit Bull, it's not that I don't like them, because I do. I just don't think I could handle 1.) All the negative remarks and attention I would get and 2.) I would always be worried about any other animals I brought into the house. I could not own a high energy dog like a BC, I don't have the energy to keep up with them. Hair dosn't matter so much to me, i'll take a dog with long, short or no hair. But I couldn't have a dog that drools excessive amounts. A little slobber? Sure that's ok. But tons of it to the point where it gets on the walls and on all the furniture is not my cup of tea.
23. Good luck Mutts! I think what you want to do is a wonderful idea. I hope you can get ahold of someone soon so you can get thoes pups on Petfinder. AllAmerica- Don't give up trying to volunteer. It took me about 5 months to even get an application to vounteer. Keep trying, they will eventually need help.
24. Gee thanks sooooo much Sizzle! I couldn't stop looking at that pic! *Sigh* I want a Dobie!
25. Dog I should print that out and start handing it out to the people at the shelter who "want a puppy for chistmas for a suprise" or the "he is going to be outside but we want him before chirstmas" OR the "we will keep him in the garage untill chistmas moring"!!AGGH! I think I need to go slam my head against something very hard..excuse me.
