1. $9.00!? That's it for that beauty? Aww I hope he gets a home *cough*Adopt Him!*cough*
2. Ohh a lab/weim mix..interesting. Come on corrie you KNOW you want her. Just look at thoes eyes they are saying "Please corrie take me home I don't like being at the pound. I'll be your best friend forever!" So what exactly is stopping you from getting her? She is just a few miles away. GET HER!!! :evilbat:
3. I did feel like a mom who's child said something embarassing. I'm just glad he got over it quickly. Cinco-Nope I don't think your crazy. I hope they post a pic of the dog at the shelter. I love the dog in my siggy he is such a good boy, he has been at the shelter forever! He's a hyper boy and needs someone that will pay allot of attention to him and buy him lots of squeeky toys. He managed to destroy 4 squeeky toys in under 30 mins when I took him out the other day.  Yoladybug-I think our dogs might be related. If Zeb sees a bicycle or something his butt will get real low to the grownd and he will run as fast as possible to the house.
4. Yesturday my mom and I took Zebra to Petsmart to get some hay for the rabbit and to shop around. Well there was this old woman and her very old mother there. The oldest woman was in a wheelchair and had a patch over her eye and her daughter was pushing the wheelchair. They saw Zebra and said "Oh how cute! Can we pet him?" . I said sure and they started to come over. Well Zebra has never seen a wheelchair before and got scared. He was whimpering and trying to back away. The two old women said they were sorry that they scared him but I told them it was ok, he just wasn't use to seeing a wheelchair and that he was fine. The oldest woman insted that he was scared of her eye patch and she looked so upset that Zebra was afraid of her. :( I assured her that it was the wheelchair that he was afraid of and told her that he was afraid of things with wheels (bicycles, skateboards, shopping carts, etc). She even put her hand over her eye so he wouldn't be so scared. Finally Zeb got the courage to go up to them and started to lick there hands. The women were both so happy and kept saying that he was a sweet dog. I just felt so embarassed and bad that Zeb would act like that and be so afriad. I felt so bad for the oldest woman because she thought it was her eye that scared him. Odd thing is that when Zeb saw them in the checkout he kept trying to go over to see them, like he was saying "Wait I know them! Lets go see them again!"
5. Did you see what city this guy was located in? Sale City, Ga. Figures.
6. Oh that's great news Izzy! :D Hmm have you ever thought about going into the animal rescue business? You seem to have a way with finding animals homes.
7. Great pic! She is beautiful! I just meet a pyr for the first time at the shelter last week and wow! I never relized how HUGE they were! And I also never knew about the double rear dew claws so thanks for talking about that in one of the other threads. :D
8. Congrats on being able to volunteer!! You'll love it I just know it! :D
9. Oh I shouldn't get into this but err.. I can't keep my mouth shut. Wrinkles I know that the puppys at the petstore are cute and look so sad and pathetic that you have the urge to take everyone home. I know I feel the same way. But the fact is if you buy from a petstore you ARE supporting BYB and puppymills. I know it feels like you rescued the dog but the thing is you only made room for another sick puppymill dog to be put into that tiny little petstore. As sad as it is you have to look at the bigger picture instead of that one little puppy. I would sacrafice thoes pups by leaving them at the petstore rather then support puppymills and keep them in buisness. I can say 100% that no one on this board would like to see pet store dogs die or be euthanized, but sometimes you have to pick the lesser of two evils. Also I have a hard time understanding how you could go through the process of adopting from a rescue but can turn around and buy from a petstore? I'm sure that your dog is very lovely but the fact is you did support a puppymill nomatter what way you slice it.
10. Congrats HF! :D
11. Happy Birthday Fiona!! :bday: :new-bday:
12. Voted! He is only one vote behind to tie it with the Lab/Golden mix!!
13. Just curious but while running does your puppy fall allot? I know that pups are clumsy and trip over there own feet but have you ever seen his legs give out on him while running? I doubt that it's HD or anything serious because of the age and the breed of the dog but I'd see a vet to easy any fears you have.
14. My goal is to eventually be a special agent for the SPCA. Hopfully that will happen in 5-7 years from now but I have to work my behind off at getting school done, and actually getting a paying job at the Humane Society.
15. I swear when Zebra barks sometimes is sounds like "yes". So if I ask him "Do you wanna cookie?!" he woofs "yes!" He has a BIG dog bark and growl though, he sounds twice as big as he really is and when he barks you can hear him when your in the car and he is in the house. But he gets a very low growl when he is very angry.
16. Maybe she was mad at you because you didn't make her a sandwich? Or ya know maybe she just really likes carbs.

Tipping the Groomer
Do you tip the guy who pumps your gas? or loads your groceries? or cleans your house? when does it stop really?
What?! Someone pumps your gas and loads your groceries? Oh man I don't get that kinda service around here! I do tip the groomer though. I think of it this way, I tip my hairdresser because the next time I come back I don't want to end up with a mullet. Tip her today, she'll do a good job next time. Same with a dog groomer, tip them today, they will be happy to cut your dogs hair next time. It's like a "thank you" and insurance that they will do good next time. At least that's the way I see it.
18.
We don't call it "wagging," though, we call it "fluffing" because her tail's a big, fluffy pom pon. I think of her as a cheerleader, fluffing her pompon and yelling. In my av, I was holding a treat over my camera to get her to fluff, and she was going wooo-woooo (aka give me gimme) :D  After reading some of these posts, I guess another good thing about her tail being on her back (besides the fact that I love the way it looks) is that she doesn't hit anything when she's fluffing!!!
 Mutts I love your dogs tail because Zebs is exactly like it. Although Zeb does manage to knock things over with his tail. :D
19. Oh you can NEVER have to many collars and leashes! Zeb has three collars, two gentle leaders, a harness to walk him with, a car seat belt/harness, and a couple of differnt size leashes. And of course he has all the collars that he grew out of but thoes don't really count.
20. Zebra is a side to side but occasionally he will wag his tail in a "oval" motion..very odd.
21. "The Puppy ChannelSM on TV is just "puppies, puppies, puppies," accompanied by little more than relaxing, instrumental music. Nobody talks at you. In fact, you rarely see people, other than an occasional visit by a little child, or a heartwarming visit to a senior citizen." Has anyone heard of this? Puppies 24/7on TV? According the the website only Southeast Cleavland, OH ; Northhampton, MA and Evansville, IN get this channel so far. I dunno about everyone else but I would love to get this channel! http://www.thepuppychannel.com/tvframe.htm
22. Voted!
23. Ohh he is lovely!! I just love his smile. :D His coat looks very nice and glossy. I hope you can find his owners tomarrow so he can get back home.
24. Glad to hear that Peaches is acting normal again and isn't holding you personaly responsible for the mishap this morning. And I'm glad you didn't have any more accidents today either. Now may I say that I probably look forward to reading your post more then anyone elses for the simple fact that most of your posts have me laughing so hard I need to pee. For example:
shaking like a bird crapping peach seeds
That visual had me peein' in my pants. Seriously HF I love the way you write.
25. Well for some reason lately Zebra has been the best dog ever! I think he is finally starting to calm down and not still in his adolecent/play stage. For the last 2 years we have had a huge problem with him wanting to be "top dog" and guarding items and snapping. He mostly snapped at me because he was testing his position in the house. Well we have been having major breakthrews with him lately. I can literally take things from his mouth that he is "guarding" without him snapping or even a growl! Also after 2 and a half years of tying to get him in a down stay he has finally mastered it and will stay in a down stay untill I give him the "up" command. It's been a long time for me to learn how to deal with him but I think we both have figured out what we need to do. I'm very happy with my Zebra. :D
