Aww how horrible that someone would do that to a poor little dog. But thank goodness he was abandoned at your house and not somewhere else. Your such a good person to be taking care of him. Does he have a name? Because you know once you give him a name you'll never be able to give him away.

I thought you said that it seemed like everyone on this site agreed with one another and wouldn't argue?? Now you are saying that we like to argue?? Huh?? :-? :-?
...I know you're probably used to everyone agreeing with everyone else in dogomania, at least that's what I tend to see in alot of posts...everyone's afraid of saying something else in fear of getting jumped on...

I guess people like to do this alot ===> :agrue:
Zebra had a bad day today. :( First he was scared out of his mind because there was a HUGE bang noise outside. It was a gun shot, at least that's what it sounded like. He was inside and cowering and barking. I felt so bad for him. Then a few hours after that I took him outside and while he was sniffing to go the bathroom someone drove by and they slowed down so the passenger could lean out the window and scream as loud as he could at me and zebra and then drove off laughing and pointing at zebra who got scared and tried to run inside the house. He was so scared after that he couldn't even go the bathroom and I had to take him inside. So he got no playtime outside because of that jackass. I guess the jackass had to scare a dog to make himself feel better. I swear one day karma will bite that guy on the ass so hard!!! And on top of all that Zebra had Diareah(sp?) all day today. My poor little guy had a bad day and I couldn't make he feel better.

Oh yeah, what a great post! :P Ok Zebra is my 2 year old Golden/GSD mix. I first saw him at the Petsmart adoption one early Saturday morning. See the only reason my mom and I went to petsmart that morning was because we forgot to the day before and our rabbit needed some hay. So I realy wanted to look at what dogs they had there. There were 3 adult dogs and a big penned area with 5 or 6 puppies. Well of course I HAD to look at the puppies and I saw this little brindle boy in the back all by himself. One of the AC officers came over and asked me if I wanted to see any. Well I said yes that I wanted to look at the brindle dog. All the while my mom standing next to me saying "Melanie don't do it, your going to get attached and your going to want to bring him home. You know we can't take a dog home, we don't have the room and we have a rabbit.". So I promised I wouldn't get attached (HAHA!). The AC officer took him out and he sat down right next to me and acted like he didn't have a care in the world. The officer told me that they had had him for two weeks and that they picked him up off the streets of L.A. :( She told us that he was her favourite and the best behaved but she felt bad because he had been there for two weeks already and no one wanted him. :( I felt bad but I knew we couldn't adopt him. So my mom and I went inside to get what we needed for our rabbit. When we came out of Petsmart I had to look at him one last time. I went over to his little pen and he was sitting down looking at me with is big sad eyes. I KNEW then that I had to have him. I must have argued with my mom for 15 mins before she finally gave up and said she would call my dad to ask him. My dad was NOT happy and did NOT NOT NOT want a dog. He was sure that any dog in our house would kill our rabbit  . Somehow, and I have no idea how, my mom convinced him that we were getting a dog. I signed and payed for the adoption myself (I had saved up 100 bucks for a tattoo that I was planning on getting but used it to adopt instead). So after the papers were all signed we walked right back into Petsmart and bought everything you would ever possible need for a puppy. A $5 dollar trip for rabbit hay turned into a $200+ shopping trip for a new dog. When I got home my dad and brother were furious at me for getting a dog. My dad didn't want one and my brother was afraid of dogs. Oh well too bad for them. I had to wait a week to get him while they did his neutering. I remember exactly how the nurse brought him out holding him and handed him to me. He was bearly bigger then the full grown chihuahua that was in the vets office. He was only 12 lbs at the time. Now he is 80!!!!! :o I also remember the first thing he did when he got into my dads car was pee in it.  Woo anyways that's the story of Zebra and how I got him. Now the little bugger is as happy as can be. :P

Loves being squirted in the face with a squirt gun (as punishment),hates running water (bath tub, etc). Steps in mud puddles (and only MUD puddles) but walkes around/jumps over any water that is stagnant on the concrete. Loves the rain hates the ocean.

My dog tourettes may have saved a life...
StarFox replied to Queen Bitch's topic in Everything about dogs
Good job Corrie. And yeah for your dog Tourettes! -
Zebra gets so excited when someone comes home. He will grab a toy and try to give it to you and if you don't take it he will stop right in front of you so you can't move. Usually he is wagging his tail so hard that his entire but wiggles all over the place. It always makes me laugh to see how happy and excited he gets. But then of course I have to take him out for a pee break because he gets so worked up that he gets his bowels moving.
-

Pet Peeves or funny things your Dogs do
StarFox replied to xavierandrea's topic in Everything about dogs
Annoying things Zebra does- At night when everyone is relaxing or going to bed zebra will whine...and whine...and while..do this horrible sharp bark and whine some more. It's just beyond annoying. When he finds kleenex and eats them causing his poop to be....paper. Jumping in front of me everytime I start to walk somewhere, so that I nearly trip and fall on top of him. Cute things that he does- Giving people doggie kisses when he walks by them. Bringing me his toy and putting in on my lap. Putting his head on my lap and wanting to be pet. Doing little hops and jumps when he knows he gets to go outside. -
Poodles come in mutli colours?! What? What rock have I been living under. :o  That black and white Parti one is so beautiful. The corded one is very cool, never seen anything quite like that before, but to be honest it reminds me of a mop. Brindle dogs are my fave, I love the way the look. It seems like no two brindle patterns are the same.

HF I'm so sorry. :( Poor little guy. Honestly I had the same thought as Court when I read your post, but it's your decision and you know what is best for him. Have you tried a Holistic vet? Accupuncture(sp?)? I realy don't know what to suggest. :-? Give Devin a little hug and kiss for me.
