Max and Ben don't have separation anxiety, so I have no advice. :( But I do think one of the joys of having furkids is that each time you come home they are so very pleased to see you! What's wrong with a little jostling, lots of tail wagging, a few kisses, and a couple of "ROOS" when it shows how much they are glad you are home? It's therapeutic! I do admit that from time to time it can overwhelm guests, but the guys settle down so quickly that it's really not too big of a deal. And I think that most people who visit us are pleased that our guys are so happy to meet them!

The first time I checked her web cam she was standing horizontal to it, so all I could see was her BIG hairy left side. But just now she is laying down like the sphinx with her tail to the camera so I could see her spine. I'm going to keep trying until I can see her FACE!

My husband and I got married later in life and have no children, so of course our boys are our kids and we are their Mom and Dad, and our relatives are their relatives too! When we send greeting cards, etc., they are always included (but sometimes they have to buy their own cards if there's a real cute dog on the front!). :D

 Both Ben and Max get a little taste of people food from me when I am finished eating. They are very good about it. Ben will lay on the floor beside me just watching me eat - he is so patient. Max is usually somewhere else doing his thing, but he has a early food warning system so always shows up in the nick of time to get his bite! If they don't get a bite they stare at me accusingly and then go away and pout. I am the bad influence in the house. My husband rarely feeds them treats!

Congrats on the new flooring Julie. Just put down a little runner for them that is non-skid from door to door. They should be okay with that! My god, I can't imagine carrying my Max through my kitchen! :o Or Ben, my saint!!!

Ben, our saint, would be the kind of guy who shuffles around the house in his slippers and robe and stands in the light of the open fridge in the middle of the night looking for that perfect something to eat. He would be found in the recliner snoring with his mouth open, always ready with the excuse, "Oh, right. I was just getting ready to do that for ya." His clothes would always be messy and he wouldn't be too particular about his job either. But he would always be available for a good hug or two. Ben would drive an old van with plenty of room for friends and barbeque supplies. Max would be out playing tennis, jogging, golfing, or doing some other individual sport on most days. On the other days he would be at his physical therapist trying to get himself patched up so he could go back out and play again. He would only have time for a quick meal and a peck on the cheek, before hitting the greens again. He would always carry his personal planner, a cell phone, and drive a sporty little car! -
You guys, all your squeaky toy stories are too funny! Sounds like we need a squeaky toy hall of fame! My story seems to be just the tip of the iceberg! And yes, Rosebud, I will need all the help possible when I finally go over the edge and try to destroy the evil green squeaky ball!  JackieMaya - I actually had one of those monkeys in my hands at the pet store the other day! Yikes! A narrow escape! K - Great news! I did some checking around about the Dyson "Animal" sweeper and have placed an order online for one of these machines. I just wear the snot out of regular sweepers - I have killed two uprights since moving into this house! So in a few days I will be joining the ranks of Dyson converts! Updates later!

Yes it is! Our previous vet always seemed a bit nervous and was always talking about how he really wanted to be an archaeologist! His wife was also a vet and she was always on the verge of a lecture! Hmmm...they were good vets, just not a good fit for us.

Mouse - Believe it or not, the dang squeaky ball still works. :o Even as I am typing this Max is squeaking it. So, Paddy's is safe....aren't you happy? K - What's this Dyson mantra you're chanting....? :o
