You might try posting a message about pulling under the topic Sports and Activities! :)
-
No, sorry to say I don't do pulling, but I have been looking around on the internet about this sport. Wow! Your guy must be strong!! I have checked out many pulling pages and your dogs name sounds familiar. Has his picture or pulling weights been posted? Max, my rottie has arthritis in his front left foot from an injury before we rescued him. And Ben, my saint, is a huge couch potato!

Got any pictures? We LOVE pictures!

Ooops, Hazel - You must type faster than I do!

No, I don't think that's right... I am a regular dog owner as are many of us on Dogo. I thought you only wanted to talk to another breeder!! :D There are some who are breeders, but we live in many different time zones, so some will not see your post for quite some time... :niewiem: What breed/breeds have you been breeding? I have a rottie and a saint - both rescues.

She is a beautiful little girl! :sleep2: Irresistable!

 So much to remember! :confused1: My doggies will forget!

I did the survey! Will rotties be next? :o
-
That's good that you can now be more private. I wouldn't like that situation either. :-? Thanks for the heads up! :D

Good advice on looking up feeding information based on age, activity level, etc. of the saint. All I know is that my saint eats the same amount of food twice a day as my rottie. Their level of activity is widely different, but their appetites are the same. My saint weighs a good 50 pounds more than my rottie. Good luck with your project!

Daisymom..Congratulations on your nursing care. This is wonderful news. :klacz: I am so relieved for you.

Julie45, thanks for your update. While it is true that a loved animal cannot be replaced, I do think it is good that your brother has a new puppy. He will be a good owner and the puppy will be a great comfort to him as he deals with the loss of your mother.

Excellent!

I hope the news on Daisy is good for you today! We are rooting for her! :D

Have any of your dogs been on Animal Planet?

Too right, Mouse! :-? -
I agree. I didn't even see a requirement in Michigans regulations for vet care! :o

That woman didn't hear a thing you said, did she?! :-? Aggravating.... :x

No, JackieMaya, my dogs are not video stars. They are famous only to me...the rest of the world has not seen their fine qualities!  But it would be cool to catch some cute thing on video and send it in! Good luck! I don't have access to Animal Planet!!! -
Max HATES the vacuum...he avoids it at all costs! Ben couldn't care less about it..."Just sweep around me please!" One of my cats loves to be vacuumed in the summer due to its cooling effects!

:eek3: Lucky you found your keys! Fishing them out must have been a treat! :(

:-? I think it's just some cat wandering across an unattended keyboard!

Rotties - Ummm, I think I'm over it, maybe......
behle replied to Daisysmom's topic in Everything about dogs
I agree that it is not fair that rotties and pit bulls are PTS is shelters. I agree that it is not fair that they languish in their cages in no-kill shelters. I wrote that "I would hate to take a Rottie straight from a shelter unless I had a lot of prior experience with this breed". I did not say you should never adopt a rottie from a shelter! (I am of the opinion that quite often smaller, more high-strung breeds are more prone to biting than the larger breeds.) I also said in my post that dogs are individuals. People who take on ownership of dogs with "bad reputations" have to be extra careful about training, socialization, and proper stewardship of their dogs. It is unfortunate, but still true. Even the rottie rescues label some dogs with "must go to home of experienced dog owner".
