1. Welcome to you and your rottie!!! I have Max, a sweet rottie (aren't they wonderful dogs)! Plus Ben, a smooth coat saint!
2. My Peppermint that I had spayed years ago came out of surgery full of pep and energy, but she was a small little thing! I went to pick her up at the vets and I could hear her barking in the back. It never slowed her down at all. She hopped right on the couch that same night. Your girl will rest for the evening if she needs to, or longer if she needs to!
3. Oh, I wish I could see her picture.....
4. When we first got our saint he had a time adjusting. He had been raised in a home with toddlers, then was fostered in rescue, and then came home with us where there were no babies. And then he had to get used to our rottie. It took him quite a while to accept all the changes, but after about 6 months he seemed to realize that we were not going to "ship him out" again. He has been fine every since. Some dogs are just more sensitive to change. He will settle in..... :D
5. I hope your "grammy" is doing better today! :)
6. That is strange. I typed in the address and got in right away! Thanks for fussing with this. Now I can check it out. It doesn't seem reasonable not to be able to click on the link. I'm just glad it works when you put in the address manually. Thank you!
7. Yes, I clicked on the link you had posted just above and got this message...
8. I am still getting the "You do not have the credentials to visit this page" message on the dreaded white screen.

Cute! It sounds as if it needs to be set to a catchy little tune! :B-fly:
10. I'm getting the red x on the pictures on the dogo site, but am able to see pictures other members post. I hope this doesn't forshadow a problem getting connected! Augh! :o
11. Daisymom - I'm so glad you are feeling a little more at peace with your decision today. We have all been in a similar situation and know the stress that you have been dealing with. Take one day at a time. :) Your memorial to her was sweet!
12. Gigi - I think that is an equitable arrangement!
13. Boy, DogPaddle, that is a tough one. People with hair trigger tempers aren't likely to take kindly to any interference no matter how well-intended. I really don't know what to think. Maybe someone elso on the board has some experience handling touchy situations like yours. I hope so...
14. Your photos just make me want to pick that cutie up and give him a big hug!
15. Cheetah - That's a real "gritty" poem. No sugar coating there! Post it on some sites as K suggested. Keep writing!

Memorials

Roo - What a great addition to the site. Thank you!
17. HeHeHe! He needs a little pair of doggy snow shoes!
18.  Words cannot express the sorrow I feel with you on the loss of Trixie, your dear friend. We are thinking of you...
19. Poofy - I will keep her and you in my thoughts tonight!
20. Yahoo! Look at him go through the snow! Is it thick and heavy snow or light and fluffy? He doesn't seem to mind it. When you get more he'll have tunnel through!  He looks so pretty against that field of white!
21. I just read this thread. Oh my, that's a lot for your family to deal with Goo. How is the floopy-lipped Haley doing now? It sounds as if your friend just doesn't want to deal with the responsibilities of dog ownership. Grrr! What's been decided?

Courtnek - He could be saying goodbye, or maybe he just needs to snuggle up to you for a little warmth during these cold days. Sixteen is pretty old for a kitty, even though they can live longer. I think the winter time is just harder. I hope he is OK....
23. I know you will find the strength to get through this....for Trixie. My thoughts are with you today.
24.  Cute! I needed a good laugh today, and this gave me one! Thanks for posting it!

Yes, I wrote it, I keep a journal. All these posts about losing a loved pet made me think about the times I have had to endure what others are now going through. Thanks for your comment. I believe that ours should be the final hand they feel and the final voice they hear, even though it breaks your heart.
