I had a suspicion it would be BEAR! Most EXCELLENT NEWS! Thanks so much for posting this news...I had been thinking about him ever since you posted his picture and story. Yahoo! :D :D :D

Okay you guys -- I am reading your lists with growing astonishment!! How can you afford to replace all your stuff? :o :o I think we should begin to tally the dollar amount of the stuff our dogs have destroyed and just see what it adds up to! I bet we would be amazed!! Yogi-my chewer who is now chewing at the Rainbow Bridge incurred these expenses. Here is my estimate of replacement costs of three antique kitchen chairs, baseboard and doorjam trim, and multple screen windows (courtesy of Ben): $250.00 I have not included their toys since I expect them to be chewed up! This amount is NOTHING compared to the costs your pets have incurred! Who among us has the "Most Expensive" dog/dogs? I had to edit this post for clarity...

Good for you! I applaud your efforts.. :klacz: :klacz: She's a pretty thing! She sure looks like somebody's dog.. :( Good luck with your search. You are an  Good luck with your parents!

Miles is such a cute little fluff-ball! :iloveyou: I bet he's a riot!

Mary's a beauty! Although a cranky looking beauty...

Poor Cleo! It's lucky you were there! Watching your Mom suffer has got to be awful. You know how to care for her and I am sure she is very appreciative of your tender care. I think that nurses just get overworked and begin to forget that there is a person who need kindness and consideration inside that body they are trying to fix up! :-? I hope you have a nice drink, put your feet up, and relax. You surely deserve it!

Angelboddy - My rottie, Max, has never destroyed a single thing. He is a very good boy! So you do have some company. Ben, our saint, has only ever chewed a couple pair of my husbands briefs (when he had mild separation anxiety after moving to our new old house). It just seems that hubby couldn't quite get them to go into the hamper just one foot away from where he put them on the carpet! :-? Ben has now given up chewing since he now feels safe here and knows we are never going to leave him permanently! I do feel fortunate to have such non-destructive dogs right now. In the past we have had some chewers..

Oh, excellent! :Dog_run: What great news that Abby and Cracker are settling in with each other! That's a huge relief for you! :D Welcome back!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Daisy...It must be hard to have a sick doggie and a puppy at the same time! :o Positive thoughts coming your way!

So glad to hear that Zebra's tube is now gone and that Zebra is slowly returning to normal. Big hugs from Michigan for your little patient!!! :D
-
Thanks for the interesting tip. I have peppermint extract in the cupboard; I'll have to try that on Max next time we have a loud storm! :D

That woman is seriously deranged! She needs some anger management training in addition to time served and fines paid! :o

Greyhound racing industry!! They don't want to be bothered to find all their "used up" dogs new homes....much easier to slaughter them all. This is truly disgusting....greyhounds bred, used, and then slaughtered simply to feed the burgeoning betting industry!!

Welcome back, Snowpaws! Glad to hear you are keeping busy, but have missed your posts.... :D I guess you have a lot of reading to do now to catch up...good luck!

Oh, I'm so sorry Zebra had to have this procedure done... They didn't give him anything for the pain? I'd be pretty annoyed if I had a rubber tube sticking out of my side! I'd fuss with it too! (My Max has a drain tube through his stifle from one side to the other right now from his surgery and he bothers it a little, but not a lot. He has his Deramaxx he is finishing for the discomfort, plus his antibiotics.) Has Zebra settled down a bit? I hope so and I hope he is drinking water too and eating a bit.....poor thing! Sometimes my saint won't swallow a pill and my husband will pop it in his mouth, sort of hold his mouth gently, and stroke his neck from his chin to his chest. This usually does the trick for our saint. Good Luck with Zebra! Hope he's better soon!

So.....another pupper has come to join the pack, eh? He is adorable! :iloveyou: You will fix him up right for sure! Congratulations on Devin's arrival, and good luck finding him a nice home......hee, hee, hee!

Personally I wish there were a way to make this woman HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO ALL DOGS! Let's see her run a BYB operation then! :-?
-
 I hope that her illness is something that the doctors can treat effectively. Poor Kira and her family. What a tough time of waiting....
-
Sounds like a fantastic little pup! I can't wait to see pictures....

A big thanks everyone! Max is doing OK - been taking his pills well (doesn't hurt that they are wrapped in bits of meat or cheese  ) - sleeping quite a bit - eating his meals when he is supposed to - and not bothering the incision too badly. So I'm happy. :D Big brother Ben is slightly miffed. :-? I don't know why; he gets a treat when Max does! But he will get over it. Marble - I think his leg looks funny....it reminds me of a leg of one of those old retired duffers who stroll around in the summer wearing walking shorts with black socks and their regular shoes; exposing lily white varicose-veined legs!

Thank you everyone for your well-wishes for a quick recovery! Max is snoozing away, very happy to be home. Max is already spoiled rotten and after several more days of spoiling rotten treatment at home he will no doubt be totally disgusting... :D ....and totally pleased with himself! :o

Ellieangel - Thank you so much for your response and your words of encouragement for Max's recuperation.
