Good, I'm not alone! :D Did this make you do a double take too?
I lifted the lid, body parts - legs ripped right off the body of the dog, fresh maybe a day old.
Why would they do this? It almost sounds like a shock tactic to make everyone think all the vets were horrible monsters who mutilated the dogs for fun. I just can't see a vet going, "Let's take a break and carve 'em up!" I worked for a vet. We put a lot of animals to sleep. All the bodies were disposed of properly, and not one was ever cut up - except a stray cat that was suspected of being rabid. Where's the other side of the story? I bet the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I'm still trying to figure out this:
I can honestly say besides the tragedy of losing my soul mate to cancer when he was 5 yrs old I have never been so devastated in all my life.
Is she talking about a dog?? I mean, I love my dog, but in no way is he my soul mate! :-? Ok, I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but this struck me as a bit warped.

No presents or puddles so he gets to stay out tomorrow too. I pushed in all the chairs, and I don't have much other furniture so I don't know what he could get caught on.
-
He was good! :D Ok, now he just has to get through the afternoon.

I left Kato out in the house by himself and this is the first time for any extended period of time. How much trouble can he get into with a cone on his head?
-
You can try Bully Sticks instead of rawhide. I'm pretty sure they are completely digestible and Kato likes them better too. I like when they ring them up at PetsMart and it comes up on the receipt as "beef part". I think it should say beef weener. :)

I'm with Horsefeathers. As long as they aren't doing it to me, more power to 'em.

Kato scrapes his little sandwich baggie on the ground. It's so sad, but I gotta protect that bandage.

I always thought it was more of a dominance thing. Am I wrong?

 That was the topic of my first post here. Gotta get the answers to the deep questions in life, you know...

My neighbors have 2 dogs, a male Shiba and a female shih-tzu cross, both fixed. Sometimes when I take Kato over they have a three-some. :o :drinking:

1..2...3...aren't there more than 10 on there? LOL What's wrong with Flint River Ranch? I've only heard good things about it. Glad to see Canidae is still on it even though I swear they changed the wet food formula because it is extra stinky now.

Newfie, do you have the results of the WDJ 2003 top ten dog foods? I heard it was in the latest issue.

I had a schnauzer that used to eat my Halloween candy every year, chocolate and all. One Christmas she ate 1/2 lb of those chocolate mints, and all that happened was she barfed twice. We didn't even know that she had eaten them until we were cleaning up the mess and discovered it's minty freshness. This was before people knew it was toxic so she never even went to the vet. I would say she was one dog that didn't have a problem with it. :o

He had a cut on his paw. I tried ointment for a week, but it kept growing this "thing". It looked like a corn or a wart and it wasn't getting any better so I had it removed. My vet sent it out for biopsy to see if it is a histiocytoma or just a corn. It was healing up really nice until he got his bandage off. I can tell he was licking at it. I hope it won't get infected now.
She chose to truck the excess dogs to Arizona rather than shoot them
Gee, she should get sainthood.

Kato had his foot operated on last Thursday and the bandage lasted until today when it finally started slipping down his leg. I took him back to the vet and they put a new one on that lasted until I got back to the waiting room where it slid all the way off. They stuck another one on and it seemed okay, but it just came off again. So I rewrapped it but the vetwrap stuff I got was not the 3M brand and not as clingy so you guessed it... I had to run to the store and get an ACE bandage made for people, but it seems to be working for now. These were all taped to his leg and everything.

Yep, I see it now. Otherwise she'd fly backward off the table trying to get away from the person in front.

Are those pictures supposed to make me want to buy one of their dogs?? How sick! And what is wrong with that Boston's rear end or leg (I can't tell)?
-
I can only give you my experience, but I had Kato on Wellness puppy and he looked okay. I ended up switching him to Canidae because he liked it better and his coat improved almost right away. He doesn't show any signs of missing anything in his diet. On the other hand, both my previous dogs were fed puppy food, and I really don't see any difference between them - nothing I could point to and say one way of feeding is better then the other. One argument for the all life stages food is that in the wild, your dog wouldn't be able to pick baby Bambi for puppies or rotting roadkill for seniors. It doesn't seem to be a very good argument though and wasn't what swayed me to buy their food - I just liked the ingredients.

Another Pit Bull attack... warning: graphic photo!

Well I think it's pretty obvious that her pink hotpants sent the dog into a fit of rage - so she deserved what she got.  -
Secretariat was pretty much a dud as a stud.

I feed Canidae and am very happy with it. It has chicken, turkey, lamb, and fish. I only have one store near me that sells it, but I've ordered it too. There are a couple different places you can order food from. http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/ Waggin' Tails is the place I've used before: http://www.waggintails.com/index.epl?AnimalID=1

It appears she was sexually assaulted as well. :o  -
All you need is a plastic clicker and some turkey! If I can train a Shiba to sit QUIETLY (they scream!) to have his nails clipped, you can too! It's really easy to do. In the beginning it feels like it's a much longer training method, but it actually only took me 15 minutes the first time whereas I was spending 30 minutes wrestling him into a headlock and ending up with a very unhappy dog. I can do all 4 feet in a few minutes now. If you've never tried it before, I can explain my method, but there is a ton of info out on the web that probably explains it better.
