Thanks - that's very good to know that cooked bones are dangerous for dogs. If it was up to me, I wouldn't feed my dog bones of any sort - just to be safe. However, my dad is harder to convince. But i'll tell him what you guys said and hopefully he will listen. :)
Cheetah -- not trying to start any arguments, because this subject has been hashed over and over with GREAT debate. I just want you to know ALL the possibilities --- while at my vet's, in October, we were discussing the lodging of bones (feeding bones, accidential eating of bones, etc...). He showed me a hugh box full of x-ray's from dogs that were fed bones and the bones lodged in their digestive tract. He is totally against feeding dogs bones, cooked or raw. Please, I didn't post this for any arguments. Some people can feed their dogs bones from now on with no problem. Others, aren't so lucky. I just think that all the possibilities should be known and posted.
Sure thing! And yeah...I agree with ya on that one...Just like Six said, anyone with OUT purebred papers MUST have a NEW designer breed!!!
I'm so glad you said that. Unfortunately, these "NEW BREED REGISTRY's" prey upon people who just don't know any better or are sucked into their scam of "creating" a new breed. And the promise that their mixed bred dog gets "PAPERS". It takes YEARS to create a new breed, NOT 63 days! And I won't bring up the "NEW BREED REGISTRY" that I am actually eluding too. You know, the one that keeps ADDING breeds to their so-called registry. It's NOT for the enhancement of the breed, it's for the prestige, the name he thinks he'll make for himself, and the money. He is promoting the crossing of dogs so they can be registered in HIS registry and pay HIM the money. How long does this individual plan on staying in the "business"? What happens to the "Registry" if he decides he is bored with this or no longer wants to keep the records? If he suddenly quits --- what are the papers on your dog worth, now?? Okay, I'll step off that soap box.
Here ya go! http://www.wctatel.net/web/shiloh/
OMG --- are people really that stupid -- I guess they are. No shedding, that's a big fat lie. Sold with non breeding rights, yeah, so they won't have competition. ANOTHER "BREED" registry started for the purpose of making money and promoting CROSS BRED DOGS! :evilbat: Why don't they just branch out and start a "BREED" registry called, "SHIBULL's" or "SHOXER'S", cross their Shiba's with APBT and Boxers....! Rare, indeed.

http://pages.ivillage.com/maltipoos/ ....and this lady is starting a "BREED" registry for anything crossed with Poodles. Hum.....sounds familar doesn't it? Sort of like, a "BREED" registry that has been started for anything crossed with Boxers....doh! Just had to say that.
I saw him! I wonder what the problem is????
Strange, huh --- I can see him, you can see him.....no one else can. We are special!! :P
-
Will they medicate him to help sedate him???
Dear Lord, I WISH! No, it's up to us to keep him calm, no jumping, no running, no bouncing, no playing.....just a slow walk and only on a leash. Yeah.....a PUPPY that when he plays, plays wide open. I'm sure as soon as he starts feeling better, he'll have to be confined. Better stock up on plenty of toys, things to chew, apples (he likes those) and what ever else he'll play quietly with. He has that snuggle-up-to-you-because-I-want-something, down pretty good.
-
Thanks. The leg is starting to look pretty bad. BUT, next Tuesday, the surgery will correct and it....and he'll be on the road to recovery.......4 months of recovery........4 months of keeping him rather sedate. We have our work cut out for us!

Well that suxs --- can ANYONE see him but me? I posted from the http:// thing.

  I've got to go read some classified ad's --- good for a laugh (yes, sad though).
-
  Rotty X Heeler crosses --- sometimes the pups look exactly like a Heeler, only larger, extremely dog aggressive, and can flip a 2400 lb bull like it was flipping a pancake! I've seen a Pug X Heeler (red). She was really rather pretty. The cross elongated the nose, the color of the Pug, the build of the Heeler, and a size 1/2 way inbetween both breeds, the tail was shorter than normal, but didn't curl all the time. The lady said the temperment was "different" but tolerable. And a Malamute X Border Terrier --- the size of the Malamute, wire hair like a mane on the scruff around the neck and britches of the legs, extremely intelligent, color of the Malamute. It had a broken coat (some parts wirey, some parts smooth). It looked like it was wearing a lion's costume.
:D I LOVE IT!!! And oh so true!!! They are all true too!!! That whole bathroom thing... Felony does this EVERY time!!! If the door is all the way closed, she will lay down and try and stick her paw under the door, while crying!
Ohhhh, you KNOW how hard it is to do your business with a paw sticking underneathe the door, moving back and forth and flexing the nails so pitifully. Can NOT even begin to concentrate! :o
-
I've heard Border Collies called, "Boarders" :o oooookay. Then there's Pikaneeze, Cockerl Spanners, Poodels, Dobermens (must be plural dogs!!), Laberdoors, Springing Spanners, the list is endless....and too funny.
-
Okay...why can I see him and you guys can't ? It was posted from a web site.
-
Thanks. We really appreciate the heartfelt wishes. Bk --- keep trying. I don't think I have a band width limit. Try refreshing your computer.
-
Eric that was a very touching story. Pat --- Yep, we make time for ours too. They MAKE us pay attention!  I agree, old dogs, old people, old horses ---- some folks think they aren't worth their time. I think they all have lots to offer.

The all time best ad I've ever seen was; "For Sale: 14 hand black mule, still a stallion, could be used for breading". Talk about dieing laughing. This ad was in the paper years ago and I still laugh. Mules are a hybrid and are sterile....if you didn't know. And "breading" ---
Blue Healers, huh?! That's a very funny one!!! I forgot this horse one..."Sorrow horse for sale"...should have been sorrel. Hey, did any of you know there are miniature cattle? Seriously. Guess people have them for pets (even to eat, milk, etc) because they take less space. Odd, but cute. Connie
Connie, dwarf cattle is the big thing in Midland, Texas. They have them in their yards as pets. Most are "snorters" with severe health problems. And then there's the miniature horses.....miniature donkeys.....the list is endless.
