I have just one dog. An American Pitbull Terrier named STITCH (after Lilo and stitch). I named him Stitch be cause in the begining of the movie Stitch was made out to be the vicious monster. But by the end of the movie everyone saw him for what he really was. A loving member of a family.
That's beautiful, Image1! :D Plus, I love that film! One dog, Rowie. 2 years old very soon! (Golden Retriever)

Wow, Aroura, you've made a huge difference in him!! :D In the top pictures, his coat is sparser, and he does look sickly. In the bottom picture, he has a thick coat, hair behind his ears, and he actually looks happy! (Kind of looks like he's smiling!) You've made such a difference in his life, way to go! :D

Way to go, Kat! :D Holly is so beautiful, and her coat is nice and shiny! Way to go and keep up the good work!!
Thanks so much for the kind words Rowie. I will try and go back to class. but i will have to wait and see how i feel about it next weds.. I'll keepyou all updated. as for Cody i really need to get him in to the vet and on some prozac. Lee Anne said that would help[ take the edge of him.. It's just hard becuase she wants that dog for her service dog to help her... oh well... ahh... :(
Most welcome hun, we're here for you!
so she might just be giving him some.
By that I mean a little quantity of grapes.
-
I never feed Rowie anything unless I'm 100% sure its safe. Actually, I only feed her treats especially made for dogs, I can never be too sure. The only thing I give her that isn't made especially for dogs are small bits of salami. My friend has a Lab who is approx. 3 years old, and she told me she gave him grapes as treats. I didn't know it was bad for dogs then so I didn't say anything. She used it to train her dog, and she said he loved them. I don't know wether she's been feeding him since he was a puppy or just recently, or wether she gives it to him in large quantities or small quantities. All I know is that he's fine, so she might just be giving him some. I guess I should warn her? :-?

I've seen it before, still hilarious!

Omg he's sooooooooooooooooooo cute! :D I love the animation! :iloveyou: Give him a kissy for me! :buzi:
Thanks Rowie .. Haven's owner IS the trainer ( lee anne ) we allready have a getwell card signed from us and Cody and the money.. but still i'm just so upset over it... i dont know. i really love going to class and lee anne is great. i just dont want her to be upset with me at all... i doint know :(
Most welcome DAL! I won't tell you NOT to be upset because I know you can't help it and that I would be upset too. But what I think you should do is go back to class. Believe me after the class is over the akwardness (sp?) will be over and gone. It will all be forgiven and forgotten. If Lee Anne is the trainer, then she will have to forgive you. She must have seen stuff like this over and over in all her years of training. Remember she is a dog trainer and she will help Cody. I don't think its fair on Cody if he doesn't go. You can both help him through this, and remember, the injury wasn't serious or life threatning. That's funny! My trainer's named "Lil-Anne"
Well i dont know if i shoudl go back to puppy class although hubby and i got a card for her already and on pay day we are going to put $150.00 in it and give it to her... help guys.. what do i do? i'm so upset and seem to have taken 10 steps BACKWARDS and not forward
Woops! Must have missed that part! The cards a great idea, and I love cards! Sign it off with you and hubby's sig, and Cody's paw! I think it's an adorable idea! :)

Noami, you must feel terrible. :( But, I think you should go back to the puppy classes. YOU couldn't prevent it at the moment, it happened and it was meant to be. As your post says, Haven's owner wasn't upset about it nor was the trainer. As long as both of them are okay you should go back. If Haven's owner really was upet, then she would tell you. I think its good that your paying the vet bills and etc. I don't think it would be fair on Cody either if you left the classes, plus, you LOVE it! Maybe you could get a "Get Well Soon" card for Haven and owner, and sign it off with your signature and Cody's paw print. I always thought it was a cute idea! :) *Big Bear Hug* Love ya, DAL! :D
Rotts and Pits look NOTHING alike. I honestly can't believe some people. And the ignorance never CEASES to amaze me...
Me too! A guy once came up to me and said :"Wow, that's a stunning GSD you've got there!" (Rowie is a Golden btw!)

   You know, we should have a video camera at hand at all times, so when our dogs do something clumsy, we record it!!!! Rowie once jumped up on our outside plastic table, and the whole table (being very light) toppled over! The look on Rowie's face was unforgettable! But I swear, this dog doesn't feel pain! After she fell off, she got up again wagging her tail! Once she jumped on my bike, and her paw got stuck ibetween the metal wires, and all she did was yelp! There was some blood, but she didn't even notice it! Any of you gals have dogs that don't seem to feel pain?

Evil turkey bone... dumb dog
You could get one of the trash cans with the locking lid...the metal wire thing that slides over a slot on the top. I've never seen a dog be able to figure one of those out yet.
Sounds like a good idea! -
:( They get themselves into such trouble sometimes. Zaphod is a counter surfer and has recently learned how to open the garbage can lid - time for some creative training I guess. Good luck to both of us
Rowie learned how to open the lid to the garbage can too! :-? She tips the can over, then with her paw "pulls" the lid off! Clever cookie! Now we keep all our trashcans inside a closet or blocked off by a baby gate, spray it with bitterapple, and im trying to teach her the garbage can is OFF LIMITS! -
So true! :D I wish I had a sign on MY door, I think I'll make one! :D
just an update on stuff..... molly (puppy) has not gone over the old neighbours house for weeks!!!!!!!!!!! :) but now she's goin over to the other neighbours house who has two dogs :( arggggg.....it just feels hopeless sometimes. i'm goin away for christmas so we decided not to get a trainer untill the new year. and in the spring, we'll be page wireing the road and the neighbour parts of the property....no problems with the barbed wire parts of the property. molly is also doin much better with the cats, and unless she's super hyper will make sure she ignores them when anyones around. my one cat asks for it though, sitting on top of the hay shed batting at the air and hisssing...its funny but i kno molly still tries to jump on the cat when the cat comes in the way of her run... thats something we'll need to work on. and the other day molly was heading for the neighbours and i called her and she got righ t to the end of my driveway and stopped, looked, and came running back! i was so happy! anyways, have a good christmas and a happy new year!
That's great! Happy Holidays! :)
NVMY03GT posted on another site, stating her (his?) dog was out of control, there was no time to spend with the dog and was untrainable. And would getting another dog help. She was told absolutely NO, another dog would be twice as bad, so she got another one  within a week. Because it was cute.
Omg....which site?

All I have to say to Snow is: Don't judge a whole board by a few member's posts. It's just like the "Don't judge the breed, judge the deed" quote. If you want to leave a board because a COUPLE of people are doing something YOU don't like, then think the WHOLE board thinks the same, then that's up to you! Leave if you want, we can't stop you. I just think you'll be making a mistake leaving Dogo. Besides, I'd hate for you to leave thinking Dogo is a bad place, because it isn't.
