I AM A COMPLETE UNCULTURALIZED IDIOT!! Do you realize that it NEVER occured to me that any of you DIDNT speak fluent English???    What is the natural language of the Netherlands K? and I apologize, to all my non-english-speaking friends here, for just ASSUMING.....
I was thinking that too!!!  Wow, everyone's made me shed some tears reading this!  Everyone here is like family to me. My boyfriend REALLY doesn't get it, when he'll be like "who ya talkin to?" (on msn) then I'll be like "oh Steph, and K, and Zoe" or whoever, and he'll be like "WHO?" and I'll go "people from dogo" and he's like 'OOh, THOSE people" he doesn't understand how I really concider ya'll my friends!! I've only had very few friends who I could open up to like I can with some people from Dogo. And most of those people I could open to once upon a time, I can't anymore. I've gone through SO many friends and have been betrayed so many times. My boyfriend keeps telling me I'd have more friends if I was nicer to people, but he doesn't understand that most of the people he wants me to be nice to, I was nice to once and they hurt me lots. The people on dogo are the first to ever truly accept me (besides Kakky, and Jared) and who have never betrayed me in any way, and I not only love them, but respect them a great deal, which is a hard thing to earn from me because of what's happened to me with peopel in the past  Just gota give a shout... I LOVE YOU ALL! YOUR MY BESTEST FRIENDS! :D
I hear ya loud 'n clear Shara! :D No one understands why I "waste" so much time on the internet. Waste? Ha! I wouldn't call spending time on Dogo wasting my time! Never! I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I thought people would think I'm crazy saying that people I have never met before are my close, close, really close friends. It's good to know we all feel the same!
I LOVE YOU ALL! YOUR MY BESTEST FRIENDS!
Me too! :D
And to the rest of you, you all much more then cyber-friends to me. Yes, I may have friends I can hang around with, but they have their own lives and worries, and to tell the truth none of them like dogs ( ) I just have to say how much I appreciate all of you, and to tell you how much all of you mean to me, dog-related and NDR.
I feel the exact same! Dogo has changed my life... I don't care if it's "just a bunch of crazy dog lovers talking" as some people would put it. You guys have taught me so much more than just dogs!

DAL, I thought I was the only one! I, too, am very sensative. I've had my share of misunderstandings, arguements, and tears shed. Actually, the only time I cry on Dogo is when there's a sad story or someone we know is hurt or when someone has their dog PTS....etc. I find that when comment seem "harsh" I try and look at it from their point of view. I imagine them at their computer, and I try and imagine what they are thinking, and then suddenly "I see the light" and I realize that they are only trying to help. Sometimes, yes, someone will be mad/confused while writing a post and it turns out all wrong, and harsh. Sometimes lack of smilies also makes what was written as a friendly, sarcastic sentace turn into something mean and cruel. It happens on every forum, all over the internet. I guarentee it! I haven't read the other thread yet, but I know for a fact that no one on dogo will ever put Zoe, Cody, or you down! Your like family to us. I'm sure everyone that replied where trying to help, and/or wanted to state an opinion, which is what forums are for. Please let's not fight over things of the past. Everyday is a new day! A million thoughts are racing through my head, but I can't write them all down. I'm sure my post will be looked at in more than two ways. It happens to every post. I just can't write what I feel properly. I do hope, DAL, that you return. But I also hope you will understand that no one, especially Dogo members, ever want to put Cody or Zoey girl down! We love yah babe! Like family! I still haven't added you on MSN, feel free to add me at : rowie_the_pooh@hotmail.com Maurie

Aroura Montie is waaaaaaaaaaaaay tooo : :iloveyou: CUTE! :iloveyou: Those ears, those little paws! I WANT HIM! :bigcry: I'm so glad we finally have other pics of him! :D -
Ocherese? :x Oh God, what will they think of next? A good breeder leaves the coat texture and color for last. Most important would be health and temperment. I can't belive her friend just "had a Maltese" to give away! How would she allow her to breed it in the first place? This sickened me the most:
My Pek-A-Poo came in season, and I had no one else to breed her with, so I used this very willing, lovable Maltese.
Most breeders will plan YEARS before the actual breeding takes place. This just plain disgusts me! I bet she was just sitting in the kitchen and suddenly came up with the idea to breed the Maltese to the Pek-A-Poo. Don't most small dogs have problems during giving birth? I know that Pugs need C-sections sometimes since they're too small or something. Aren't Peke-A-Poos small too? Isn't a Maltese bigger? I'm not sure.... but what I am sure of is that this breeder is NO RESPONSIBLE breeder! AND I would never buy a pup from her, wether she bred "designer" dogs or REAL breeds! Come on! THERE ARE ENOUGH MIXES AT THE POUND! THEY GIVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF LOVE! :-? brennies_ma, please, please, please, please with a cherry on top join us! :D And show us a pic of your wonderful boy! I would love for you to join us! :)
Rowie, I wouldn't do it unless she has to go into surgery for some other reason. I wouldn't put a dog under anesthetic simply to have their dew claws removed, if they were going in for another reason and you want them removed while the vet was at it, thats another thing, but simply to get it done because of the slight possibility they may catch on something is alot of extra trauma on the dogs body, probably for nothing. I'm sure Rowie is fine how she is :D
Thanks Aroura! :D I've been thinking about it ever since I got Rowie. She's not going in for any major surgeries soon (I hope :o), so I guess we'll keep the dew claws! Thanks again Aroura! :)
This statement alone would cause me not to buy a puppy from this kennel: ""The buyer agrees to feed Iams Puppy Food and at the appropriate age (as advised by your vet) to switch the puppy to a food recommended by the breeder or, in special circumstances by your veterinarian. " NO ONE(especially a vet.) will tell me that I HAVE to feed my dog a certain food. (Espesially if it is Iams.) And the REAL stickler, If you DON"T feed what they tell you to. The guarantee is NULL AND VOID! Here is another think "I" don't like. "Puppies sold on an Agreement of Sale of Pet Puppies shall be spayed/neutered by the Purchasers before the dog attains nine (9) months of age." (This info is located on their "Agreement of sale" page.) If I was you, I would tell them that Iams isn't available where you live and see what they say. (Just for curiousity sake.)
ohmydog! I didn't read that part! I guess I was so excited! I read that they fed Iams, I knew it was bad. But I let it pass, I was thinking of telling them all the bad things I heard about IAMS and that they should switch to Canidae. I never knew I HAD to feed it! Thanks Black GSD for pointing it out! It doesn't really matter anyways, I found a good breeder right here in BH! :D Thanks everyone for the replies!

:D Great news! The Dog Show was a blast! The Borzois from the January show where there, including Salukis, Great Danes, West Highland White Terriers, Cocker Spanials, Yorkshire Terriers, Manchester Terriers, GSDs, White GSDs, Rottweilers, Dobermanns, Golden Retrievers, Daschunds, Shetland Sheepdogs, a Cockerpoo ( :o), and alot of mixes! There was a BSPCA stall, where I got an adorable 2004 Calendar full of BSPCA dog and cat pictures, there also was a stall that had everything I ever dreamed of for dogs! Okay, not everything, but most! :) The judging and showing was wonderful to watch. The Borzois where so graceful! And the Manchester Terrier was adorable! But the best news is about to come! Me and Nadooshkinz where walking around and taking pictures of people's dogs (we have some awesome photos of the dogs! We just need to upload them.) when I saw the most ADORABLE Golden Retriever ever! It looked eactly like my Rowie, except it's fur was much more thicker and silkier, and it's head was a bit more "block-ish" then Rowie's was. Well I couldn't help myself and went up to the owners (an adorable Indian couple, very sweet people!) and their children, and asked them if this was their dog. They said yes and that he was a male named "Craigga". What an adorable name! Anyway, so I told them I had a Golden too, and they where delighted. They asked me how old she was and I said she was turning two in January. I went gaga over the poor Goldie. I scratched him behind the ears while "baby talking" him. I asked them where they got their dog from? And they said that they got him right here in Bahrain! Can you believe it? So I asked them who had sold them the dog? (And I was going crazy by now) and they said there was a "dealer" (I think that's the word that they use for breeder) that they got him from. Now the dog looked like he came from a very good breeding plan. He had a wonderful structure, coat color and length, his personality was great, his fur was thick and silky, and his ears and teeth where odour free and clean. I couldn't help myself, and asked them for the number of the man. The owners took out their mobile and gave me his number. I thanked them BIG TIME, then went overboard and kissed the dog! Us crazy dog lovers can't help it, can we? It's not that I want a puppy now. Nope. Not for another year or two at the least. But it won't hurt to check this breeder out. I would LOVE to check out a real Golden Retriever breeder other than on the internet! :) This is all so exciting for me! We're going to call the man/woman and ask him/her if we can come over and see his/her dogs. Nadooshkinz is coming with me of course! I also met another adorable Golden! A very deep copper colored one. Of course, we went and asked the owners if we could take a pic of him. I asked them where they had gotten him from, and they said they had him shipped here. He was adorable! BIG and bulky! So that was my trip to the dog show! And some MORE good news! The Canine Society of Bahrain is holding a REAL dog show in febuary! The kind where you get a title and everything! :D OF COURSE I'M GOING!! All the judges at this show where training for this big show in feb, and have been training for the last two years! So it's going to be pretty big! :) Just needed to tell someone.

I can't belive it! :x How cruel! Why is it always "the bad nieghbor next door"? I've never, so far, had a good neighbor. Except once. But that was a long time ago. Poor kitty! It's better off with you anyways! Why don't you take him to the vet to heal the brocken tail? :)

Rowie only has her front dew-claws. She was born without back ones. I, too, am not sure wether to keep them or not. They are a lot of responsiblity. Keeping them trimmed. But I feel it is too late. She is almost two years old! She must be used to them by now. Personally, I don't mind the extra clipping! What I'm worried about is that it might get caught on something. Rowie is an active dog, and she also leaves scratches on my arms! :-?

I have no advice, as I don't know much about cropping! I just wanted to say that Jada is adorable!!! :D

http://www.rebelcreek.com I was goofing around on Google when I came upon this. Golden Retriever breeders that ship worldwide! Which means.... they can ship here! Oh happy day! :D Of course, just because they ship worldwide doesn't mean I didn't check, and double check the website. They have all health clearances, worming, vaccinations, health checkes...etc. They seem to be very resposible breeders, who are doing it for the breed. But of course, I couldn't send an e-mail or do anything in fact, without getting the Dogo Seal of Approval. So guys, what do you think? (Yes, I know I am getting annoying with all these Golden Retriever Breeders questions...)
