This topic is so much fun! :D I mentioned how BK reacts to another dog getting attention before, jealous-bum that he is. :) When Grandad had his two dachshunds Oscar and Fritz, they would take it in turns to be nursed. So I would pick up Fritz first, nurse him until my leg went to sleep, then put him down, then Oscar would be there jumping up or pawing at my foot, so I'd have to pick HIM up and nurse HIM too (and he would grunt like a wombat in my ear constantly). Then Fritz would come back and want another nurse... it was the never ending cycle of attention. :drinking:

OK I think enough posting stuff from other boards. Let Laduenda make or break her reputation on this board alone- posting on other boards is her business and not ours. :)

It probably IS a dominance thing because BK is just one of those dominant dogs (I would hate to think what he would be like if he still had his balls :lol: ). But maybe it's not because we used to have a Cocker and a Basset and they used to do it too, and they were just "normal" dogs- not hyperactive, insane, annoying, bossy or crazy. 8)

BK is not shy about being a sook. To get attention and pats he will do one or more of the following: whinge, bark, squeak, stamp his feet, run round the yard like a madman, lick any part of you that happens to be exposed, jump up, crash back down and thump all over the back verandah which SOUNDS painful but he doesn't feel a thing, nip your ankles/heels, run cirlcles around you, breathe all over you, put his foot on your foot/hand/thigh/lap so you can't go anywhere without him knowing, push his way between your arm and your side so his head ends up on your lap, oh and if you happen to be patting another dog... for Rinny he just pushes him out of the way, if it's a dog from the dog park he will ignore the dog and come up and get all shirty with ME. :roll: :roll: :D

BK is an angel at the vet's. It is disgusting the way he sucks up to the vet like he's the Perfect Dog... but the vet knows better and if BK ever tries his attention seeking ways on him (foot stamping, whinging etc, always when the vet is paying attention to Rinny) he lets him know his turn is coming! :roll: :P

Hummmm not THAT mad... yet... :tard: Is it because of CJD/mad cow disease that you can't have untreated bones? (did it reach Europe or just the UK?)

Yeah it is sawed in half (you're not going mad K) 8) . You can buy them from the supermarket here like that or whole. They are cheaper from the butcher though and from most butchers for free! :D

While it is impossible to prove Laduenda fights her dogs or not, if she did indeed fight them (she denies this and you have to take her word for it I suppose) then that would be an automatic ban. I think it has been well documented particularly in the last month or so that dogfighters are not welcome. I believe K is posting some board rules in the near future; then everyone will have a clear idea on what to expect. :)

People used to say the same thing to me about BK, "oooh he's so handsome, is he going to have puppies with a girl dog?" I don't think so- he's a mutt!!! :roll: :evil:

I don't know. Nothing can be proven that Laduenda fights her dogs (and she says she doesn't, unlike Hmmm), but if it is going to cause more fighting then maybe it would be for the best... :-?

You could try peanut butter, a lot of people fill up Kongs with it so with a marrow bone I suppose it would serve the same purpose? I don't know how big/small the hole is though so maybe it's not very practical (I don't really know my bone types :oops: ) What are the BIG cartoon style bones called, with the knuckles on each end? BK loves those ones because they're huge and keep him busy for quite a while. :D

I HOPE he made a difference- that his senseless death wasn't in vain. :cry:

I think you should teach her some useful things- like how to use the vacuum cleaner and get drinks from the fridge. (but never NEVER teach her how to use the TV remote LOL!!!) 8) :lol:
