I was thinking 80 degrees for a human...without the fur coat.... :D :D I think that if she loves to run in the cold, that may be your issue. Sitting and soaking up the sun is alot easier than running in it. My dogs both have short (really short) hair...but Free gets overheated and I have a baby pool for her just for that. She'll run around and play, but when she gets too hot she'll dip into the baby pool til she cools off.

all of Cassies suggestions are good, and right on the money. Those are time consuming, but should be done. In the interim, there is rescue remedy, that has a calming affect on dogs. There are also pheremone machines that can do the same thing. Leaving the radio or tv on sometimes helps....soft music is relaxing. If it is seperation anxiety, the above might help. If it is boredom, then the neighbor or friend to walk the dog is the best solution. Even a cat might help. so he's not alone all day, if the landlord will allow it. I have always had two pets, one dog and one cat, and now two dogs and one cat. They do tend to entertain each other. Just the companionship is enough to keep them behaved.

she may be heat intolerant...I say that because I am as well. If it's over like 80 degrees, I cant do anything athletic....

It's very pretty, but I dont know that I buy it. It's TOO much exactly like a terriers head, including the ridging that looks like fur....the pointed ears and the neck. It's just, well, "too" perfect.....      It would be a cool piece of artwork to have, especially if you're a terrier fan, but I'm thinking "sculpted", not natural... 8)

Thank you again Mouse....I appreciate the help. Thanks too Kendalyn....she really is a sweetheart, but knows those eyes win her lots of attention. Smarter than most prople think....

they bend the rings out of shape enough that the tags slip off...and Laurel's wasnt on really secure anyway, since the tag wouldnt slide all the way around the ring....Laurel's ring was still on her collar, with no tag. Free both tag and ring were gone.....I found them in the yard, but they cant be bent properly back into shape....

    Laurel's eyes are my downfall...she looks so sad all the time, and worse when she wants something, I spoil her rotten...

Well, both the nutcases managed to lose their name tags again...even though I had them on with car-key rings...I found both in the back yard, apparently they were scruffing and grabbed and pulled on each others tags... so I found a place with COOL personalized collars...they cant lose these tags.. http://www.speedypetproducts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=LC&source=overture-collars The rabies tags never get lost..only the name tags, possibly because they are bigger and make an easier target for teeth to grab when they're playing...and I have the name tags ont he "outside" of the collar ring... I thought I had resolved this issue with the key ring attachments...guess not! hope these work out....

??? can you post them so everyone else can see them, Please?????? They are so much better when big....you can see  what bad shape my yard is in too....  but they are having so much fun, I wanted everyone to see them. And see Laurel looking happy and with her tail HIGH, instead of between her legs... she's getting SO much better, day by day. thanks Mouse, if you can do this.... :fadein:

ME TOO..... *SIGH* I cant get them to post big, and the thumbnails are really too small to see clearly. I wanted to show Laurel and Freebee in the yard playing together...

I tend to agree with Cassie.... While Freebee is not in any way a velcro dog (she was raised with just the cat from a puppy) she became very attached to Alex. When he died, she started getting listless...whiny....kept looking for him and such. Which sent me off on my search for another dog, and ended up with Laurel. The one doesnt like to be outside without the other. But the really funny part is that Freebee will get very anxious if I take the cat anywhere, like to the vet, and will whine and pace while he's gone. (The cat, of course, couldnt care less) and she will check him over extensively when he comes back. SO I think a certain amount of bonding does happen there, especially from puppyhood....and in my case, since they keep each other company all day while I'm gone.

Well, it took quite a bit of diggin, but I found their animal testing policy statement, and according to it, they do not do animal testing on shampoo's, and quite a few other things. here;s the link http://www.pg.com/about_pg/science_tech/research_development/category_main.jhtml then go to the bottom left and choose "download a report", then "animal alternatives" They also say in their policy statement that they are looking for alternative methods for testing for people-safe products and pharmeceuticals. P&G does own Pantene. Shara, thank you for thinking of me, but not to worry. I dont like it either, but it would be kinda hypocritical to protest wouldnt it? If there was some other way to do it, and I found out they were using animals because, let's say, it was cheaper, I would be right out in front doing a lot of yelling too. 8)

on a more reasonable note - if you are legal co-owner of this dog, YOU have a say in what happens to her. He cant put her to sleep without your consent. This would have to be a legal, in-writing, co-ownership...and you can use this against him. If she proves "no good" for agility, offer to take full ownership of the dog, if all he wants her for is agility, and she cant perform, he may be willing to give her up. call an attorney, investigate your options. if not, RUN LIKE HELL AND TAKE HER WITH YOU!!! :evilbat: :evilbat: :evilbat: :evilbat:

mine too....bastard.... How close to the Netherlands are they, and you? Meg could just "disappear...." :evilbat: :evilbat: :evilbat:

I have to agree with SRC - my dogs are both mid size - and want all the affection they can get. It sounds like your puppy may be too far inbred, or genetically wrong in some way, but take it to training and see how it goes. My Foxhound was scared of everything when I got her, as an adult... training and affection calmed her down and now she's a lovable curmudgeon. I too am sorry for your losses. Hope this on works out for you.
