So is it still bad there at all? Rain? Hail? Thunder? Its not even raining here... it was at about 11 but not since.

I really do think rescuing dogs is my life calling. Friday, I stayed after school and my mom picked me up. She told me we should probably just go find somewhere to eat instead of going back home because our counseling session got moved up to 6:30 instead of 7:30. So we went out toward her office and got some McDonalds. My mom pulled into the parking lot so we could eat and in the street in front of us all these cars were stopping. I asked my mom what was going on because I couldnt really see... she said there was a dog. We got out and chased this little miniature poodle around for about 15 minutes. I couldve grabbed it a few times but he tried to bite me since he was scared. Eventually this one guy helped and the dog went right to him. We called the number on his license and his owner came to pick him up. Saturday when we were leaving to go to PetsMart for Straydog's Adoption Day, I saw a dog walking around in our apartment complex. I chased it around for a while but it was too scared. He didnt have a collar and I couldnt tell if he was neutered or not. The dog got through the fence somehow and went into the golf course next to us. We went over there too. This one guy helped "herd" the dog towards me in his truck but after I ran probably a mile in total the dog ran into the woods. I was so upset... I really wanted to help with that dog. :( Anyway I should probably go soon, theres a tornado watch.... heh, Kat, what great weather for your visit, eh? :lol:

Get better Jesse and live out the rest of your life in great quality. Carol, so sorry but hopefully he'll keep getting better and stay with you longer. I know how hard it is to have an older dog... its painful but well worth all the great memories and love.

I do think that some APBT are conditioned to the extreme. If those dogs were human and working out like that to be so thin and muscular theyd probably think you were anorexic or soemthing. :o Rebels Red Ace was a little too thin for my liking. :-? Tessa however was conditioned but not excessively. Her body is in perfect condition IMO. ...uh LC did you see my previous post? I had asked you a question. Just wondering since you havent replied yet. :wink:

LC, I have to bring this up because its bugging me.. but are you really okay with the fact that by getting a gamebred pit bull youre supporting dog fighting in a way? I mean Hmmmm said herself that the only way to prove a dog is game is to roll it. :( So, youd be buying from a breeder that fights their dogs, correct? :-?

She doesnt think Im responsible enough. I can understand why but I hate the fact that she said I could have one and then went back on that. :( :roll: All because I missed the bus.... Its not that Im not responsible though. I am, I just am not motivated by anything at all. I dont know if its part of the depression or ADD (my mom said it could be ...?) but even for a dog, my passion of life, I cant find it in myself to do what Im supposed to do or be on time for things. :-? :cry: It ruining my life. :cry: I absolutely hate it! Well, my mom definitely doesnt want a puppy now. Too much work... and I agree. Thats why I wanted an adult, but noooo, I cant have one. :roll: :lol: I Dont think Ill be getting Maggie or any dog for that matter. :( Ill just have to wait until I have my own place and enough money.

was great! :D :D :D UGH I HAD A LONG POST TYPED UP AND LOST IT!!! (I think I typed c@t :oops: ) So anyway now Im too lazy to type up the whole thing again... okay so remember Maggie? The pit bull puppy I was interested in but couldnt have? Well she stayed over at my house this weekend. Mary (the foster mom) suggested she stay with me after Adoption Day until 6 on Sunday so I could work on training her. I must say training went well. She learned sit and Mary even said shes become a lot better about biting/nipping. She was horrible before! She bites you all the time and when she cant shell bark, making her point that if she cant have her way then everyone will suffer with her! :o :lol: So yeah... I had fun! And so did Maggie. She played with my stuffed animals and my c@t's toys too! :lol: She really enjoyed this puppet-thingy that was made out of real raccoon fur. (No I didnt buy it, it was a present, dont worry.) So now Im off to upload and post pics of the weekend adventure! :D

Having the dog is going to cost a lot of money alone but then theres also car payments, food for yourself, rent, gas money, heat & electric bills, etc. Ive thought about this over and over again ...and it bums me out because I probably wont be able to have a dog for the next 20 years. :cry:

I like CDpits but not Cold Steel... I like how the people of cd dont breed often because of overpopulation and the way their dogs look and perform (based on their titles). Cold Steel, however... eh, I don't like how many dogs they have. I dont like the looks of some of their dogs. I don't like how their dogs are on chains. I don't like how some of them look like lab crosses (which I know looks arent as important as performance in pits but still...). I don't like that they come off as giving that "tough dog" reputation, even though they do have a page dedicated to making them look sweet. I would definitely go for CD. They obviously devote themselves to only a few dogs and make sure that they are the best that they can possibly be while Cold Steel has tons of dogs that I'm sure aren't all cared for as much as family pets. I'm kind of lost here... why do you like Cold Steel? Maybe Im the only one, but I don't like a thing about them (mostly the kennel but also some of the dogs). ((This is kind of random, lol, but does anyone else find it a little odd that the parents of Fox and Tessa are both dark brindle but they are white and red? I know its possible to get that outcome but ... ???)) And [b]no offence[/b] but anyone who says that these dogs are way too thin doesnt know pits at all. Theyre conditioned... this is how they are supposed to look.
