When I was little, I was 'pounced' by a huge, hyper lab. Knocked my breath out. After that, I guess fear sets in. Then my dad has a lab, hyper thing. Bit him more than once... Now he's quiet, shy... I think it was because he had a tumor or something on his ear that caused him a lot of pain for a long time.. Not sure if they got it removed, or if it went away. But hes not hyper, but a sweet little guy now. Still scares me because he 'has' bitten before. So I'm pretty cautious with labs. If their on a leash, I love them to pieces - because they are under control. Both the two labs ive mentioned was off-leash. Dads lab runs loose in the neighborhood.. I've wanted to call the dog pound but wasn't allowed because he was my dad -.-

If I see any dog walking down the street, I'm like "AWW! Cute!" I love all dogs but I will be hesitant when petting a strange dog. If I see a dog with kids, or with other people giving them attention, I am more likely to not have a second thought about the dog. I love all dogs that people bring to pet stores, I 'assume' that the dog would have to be well-behaved to bring them there. They may be a bit hyper though :o To-hyper dogs scare me, especially if their big! Thats why I'm scared of most Labs.. I've met only hyper ones... I love the calm ones who wag their tails and lay their ears back to get petted

Please don't let these guys correcting your english to be insulting. My sis does it to me all the time :roll: I like Mutts. BUT I don't believe in breeding mutts on purpose. The Cockapoo and Labradoodle is just people trying to get $ and make a breed that probably shouldn't exist. They may be cute, but isn't there enough dog breeds out there?

Best dog breed... Electronic!! Honestly, there is NO best dog and worst dog. I'm terrified of Labs and Rotties, but I don't think they are a worst dog. Best dog breed.. The one from a responsible breeder and in the hands of a loving family. Ok, worst dog breed.. The one in the hands of a BYB...

When I first got my puppy, I didn't use a leash 'in front of the apartment' BECAUSE she stayed really close to me, as soon as she heard something she ran back to the door.. always came when called. NOW, 1 month later. She follows everyone, doesn't come when called and liked taking off for a run. SOOO its leash all the time. I've always had used a leash when away from home.

Do you have kitties? My puppy has puppy breath until he gets into the kitty-litter box :o Then it takes a little while to get it back to puppy breath...

I use Purina Puppy Chow (plan on switching to Wellness), and use Bil-Jack dog treats (also switching to Nutro or Natural Balance.. can't remember which it was, but its unopened in my kitchen!)

I had a blind dog once.. She was old and when she lost her hearing, she was PTS.. She ran into everything was began having open sores from it :( Now one of my grandmas dogs is going deaf. She doesn't know how to handle a deaf dog and she has a bad temper :o Patience isn't in my family. Where did I come from?? lol

Ok, this is just weird. I just found out that one of Foxys sons died around 2 days before she did :o And her daughter alsmost died but the surgery saved her life. YAY! Anyway, isn't it strange that it all happened in the same family at once?? :-?

I've never really had a dog that drooled... My puppy hasn't learned the beggin trick yet either. When food drops on the floor, I RACE to get it. She doesn't need to know that pizza is yummy, spaghetti is great, and tacos are fresh! I avoid giving her human food to try and keep her from begging.

Oh I seen a Dob(looked like one anyway) at the petstore the other day, and it's ears were cropped and the poor thing didn't seem very happy either. I'm completely against docking and cropping if not done for medical reasons. Sometimes ear cropping is necessary to avoid ear infections in certain breeds. But the tail I just don't understand! I have had a tailess cat, BUT we didn't take it off... It was somehow ripped off her when she was out prowling the neighborhood! So she came home without a tail.. :o (yes we did take her to the vet afterwards)

Rule #1, don't give her ANY of your food for any reason. Always eat before she does (to show dominance). And have her go lay somewhere until your done eating...

I can sew.. But I haven't sewed since I was in... the 5th grade? My fingers are really sensitive :( I'd love to help, but I have NO fabrics anywhere in this house, besides the ones I'm wearing. My grandma has TONS though.

How can people do this in front of CHILDREN?! My cousins husband tried to kill a cat that kept getting into his trash. In front of his child! Now his child thinks its OK to kill a kitty that is hungry and looking for food on his property. He actually thinks animal cruelty is FUN. It really disgusts me as I know he'll never show respect for animals. I grew up with loose animals running everywhere! We kept our dogs in a fenced yard, and neighbors dogs always came to visit... When I rode my bike around the block, this one dog would bark and chase me :o She was a sweet dog, but it was rather uncomfortable to be chased. We live around hunters and such, but we all have an understanding about the others pets. We have people who have chickens, pigs, and a wild fox (we have no idea how it showed up) running around. No dead chickens yet (besides from that lil fox!).

I do love the candle idea! Although I hate candles, lol. Fiance loves them. I would do the fasting part, but my doctor would be mad at me again :o Don't want that! Oh, have you ever seen those candles in shape of dogs? My grandma has one and they are so cute! We have candles suronding a water fountain... Fire and water... Its interestigng. But I worry about the cats knocking them off because they drink out of the water fountain!

If you call that fasting, then I used to do that every day :o I never ate til 9pm every night..... My defination for fasting is not eating for 'days'. I'd also like to say that NOT eating is bad! Very very bad..

Yes, the alarm idea is a good one. I use it for my puppy. I get up at 3am.. And fiance gets up at 6am...Although any little sound scares her :o The weird thing about her is, that she normally goes 'before' you open the door to let her our, or goes right after you let her in :roll: She's not being as bad about it now. She just doesnt poo outside... silly puppy...
